hey man that’s fair i was just pointing out how they are framing this like a full review when the game hasnt released yet and theyve only played a small portion . ill play it for sure and make my own opinion on it. i am not hyped or anything for this game, i remain skeptical but will definitely try it out when it launches

I agree 100% with you. As an 80s kid I’ve been able to trust reviews for most of my life. But just in recent years reviews have become more biased as you perfectly said. Am I crazy or does it feel like nowadays a game is either a masterpiece or it’s total trash? That’s how it feels nowadays. There’s no tolerance for the solid 7/10 or 8/10 game that isn’t maybe Metal Gear Solid but it’s still a fun time and nice story. I don’t remember during most of my gaming life that there’d be such emotionally charged reactions towards video games. There were but not like this. If a game was bad it never felt like such a big deal. Now video games have become like politics, that it’s often deadly serious. For me video games have always been the fun escape and I don’t want to take games that seriously. Music is the most important art to me and I don’t even want to take that so seriously. If the latest album of one of my favorite bands doesn’t feel as good as the last one, I’m not gonna go out of my way to try to ruin them. It makes me wonder if there’s something else going on. And this is about more depression and stress and pressures in society in general that is the real reason why a lot of gamers don’t feel that great. Some RUclipsr gamers seem to not like any video games that come out. But I don’t think games have actually gotten worse. On average I think they’re actually better and there’s still a ton of heart put into so many of these games. But maybe more people are suffering than before. I dunno… I wonder about this a lot… I feel like a game like this would’ve gotten very good reviews had it come out during a different time. But I really love this game, super addictive. I’ve loved games like this since Left 4 Dead and I was a big fan of Sunset Overdrive
Imposing a personal morality bias within a game critique on a game in which the premise is inherently intended to be immoral is like complaining that chocolate ice cream is chocolate flavored. The degradation of rational, intelligent, unbiased journalism in general - particularly in the review space for all forms of popular media, has reached an absolutely shameful level. While there remains a few pure shining examples out there of those who can truly do a proper review of a film, game, show... the majority just spews nonsense usually falling into one of a few categories: click-bait, pre-biased opinion pieces, and non-technical emotionally based. A possible forth being the "we were clearly paid to advertise this [media] on our site." I blame it largely on the average person having the ability to "broadcast" their opinions to a larger audience than just their circle of friends thanks to platforms like Tiktok and RUclips, and with cyberspace being flooded by hot takes and big personality, the professionals have followed suit in order to stay in the public eye and be relevant. Unfortunately we, the viewer/reader wound up losing what the core of what's important in reviews, and journalism in general - INTEGRITY. Whats worse is how this influences future generations.
Nah the flash fight looks like ass. There are no mechanics or things like "lure him into a trap" And you just have to sit and wait for him to stop, and then you shoot him, then repeat. I think it's better to have a challenging boss fight or one you have to figure out a strategy, instead of "ah...this feels a bit tedious"
So I made a video about Suicicde Squad. Looking at based on the gameplay, marketing and live service aspects it looks like a generic live service looter shooter. And thats not my thing. I said I'm not going to buy it on release but I have been hearing at the very least its fun from some people. So I'm thinking of buying it and reviewing it for myself but I just left it as a poll.
definitely think it might be worth buying if you have people to play with who will make it fun if it turns out to be mid. i also think it looks lackluster but i want to buy it so i can have a say and an honest review when it comes out
@@pellowfr Thats a fair assesment of the situations. I'm hesitant because I think the game over here in Australia is like $110/$120 for the standared edition and the Deluxe is like $160/$170. So for me its hard to justify the purchase since it looks mid and if I did do a video on it I would be playing alone.
Such a poor review (IGN)... from someone who is a "professional" ? Biased to a T! He expected A and got X... from a new game... that's purposefully NOT supposed to be in the same genre as game A... jesus... imagine being angry because someone didn't personally consult you on what you personally wanted them to create.... when you are only a small fraction of the intended user base...

I've seen gameplay and so far I'm leaning towards not even gonna try it on sale. Just doesn't look like it has any legs, I feel like I've seen pretty much the entire game already because so far everything looks super generic
ik the game is getting a lot of hate and i am skeptical of it myself, but ign’s review is openly stating that the game sucks without playing the full thing. a lot of people are disappointed that its not like the arkham games, but i feel like rocksteady should branch out and do something different. however, live service games especially with superheroes have proven to be pretty hit or miss, which is why i can understand peoples concerns. I will be playing it day one though because I have a little hope that the story at least will be a solid rocksteady story.
@@pellowfr This game screams BAD Vibes!!! Why do I say that, well two of Rocksteady's founding devs weirdly just left??? Then another dev from Rocksteady all of a sudden just dies because of stress from this game????........If I was a detective in this case, with no evidence, I would say that Rocksteady was forced to make this game......This change was way too weird and sudden. They had a beloved supportive fan base. Nothing adds up........

That guy was used to backlash from fans. This was something deeper than that....If you ask me, I believe Rocksteady was forced into this new ip. Those developers had no choice in the matter. Some were brave enough to not take the fall. This change has to be TOP 10 of the weirdest changes in a development studio history..
