Your thoughts on the new GT Cut?? 🟢 Cushion, Traction, Comfort & Breathability 🔴 Lateral Containment, Support for Heavy Players Thank you for watching!!
Review is spot on, and matches with my experience. Think I need to wear thicker socks so there’s less wiggle room. One thing to add, I bought from Nike Australia, not Asian version, and was surprised that the outsole showed no sign of wear and tear after playing outdoor.
Just give us the GT 1. Nothing needed to be improved or can be, except that insole texture that sticks to your socks. Other than that it’s a perfect shoe.
I would say, these shoes are unique case of hits and misses. Currently at a local indoor gym, I noticed lighter weight, good containment, foam like spring, and insane traction. During playing, I feel It does require you to utilize a bit more basketball foot work and to be light on your feet. I'm still trying to break in the shoes, even though I've already played 2 games with it. For now, I think having, a light on your feel playstyle is truly where the current "potential" is at. I plan on pairing Move insoles with these to increase some stability and possibly more performance. Overall can't complain, there's still mystery to unlock for these shoes for now.
Hey, I don’t think I can rank them b/c of their expertise - so it really depends on your playing style and foot shape. GT Cut 3 - guards, GT Jump 2 - bigs, GT Hustle 2 - wide feet.
Hey just wanted to say great channel! My question to you is I have the Lebron 21, and the G.T Cut 3 (from a sale through a friend). Does the idea of using the G.T Cut 3 make sense as a warm up training shoe before using the Lebron 21's to hoop? Guard type of play on my end.
@@TommyLiu4 ok this is the final say. When you said you lost some of the bounciness over time I immediately checked out w808 3 ultra. Have a nice day!!! Thank you!
Do you prefer these or the LeBron 21 overall? I prefer forefoot cushioning, traction on dusty courts, and heel lockdown. So far, my Tahitian LeBron 21 feels like it would win in 2/3 (still gotta break them in), whereas the Cut 3 felt like the forefoot cushioning might be thicker?
Woo that’s a tough one. Overall I’d probably take the LeBron 21 if I have to pick one, and you’re right about 2/3 for the LeBron’s. Forefoot cushion I think both are adequate - if you have the LeBron’s already just be aware of the GT Cut 3’s minimal weight and thin upper possibly causing some containment issues. Otherwise both are fantastic really 😃
@@TommyLiu4 Awesome, thanks man! I love your reviews, and they usually always reflect the experiences that I have with shoes that I pick out as well! Right now I have the LeBron 21 and the GT jump 2, but I am starting to think that maybe I don’t need as much cushion that the Jump provides. I would be able to return them and get money back, and with the current Valentine’s Day sale, I would be able to get the Cut 3 for the same price. Or I don’t have to get a secondary shoe and just stick with the LeBron 21. So many options lol.
@@jrdatrackstar Haha I know right 😂 Lots of options, in that case I’d honestly swap out the Jump for the Cut since you don’t need that much of a deluxe cushioning. But the LeBron’s are good enough indeed lol
Hey tommy, I already have the Lebron 20's and I'm planning in copping these I can't wait them to get on sale since they will definitely sold out quick once that happen, but anyway, should I get true to size on these or half size down? I have a narrow feet. thank you!
hey Tommy, great vid! This shoe has huge potential and hopefully the next model will have a shank to increase durability. Which outlet did you find the cuts at? Whenever I go to Vaughan Mills the inventory isn't great.
Would y’all say it’s worth the price? I was really tempted to get them because of the ZoomX midsole (kind of a historic shoe being the first ever *basketball* shoe that incorporated ZoomX). I thought that they looked pretty cool too, but I’ve seen and heard so many mixed reviews that I didn’t feel confident in getting them because of the steep pricing.
That worries me a bit I’m a big guy too, I liked the immortalities though. Idc about cushion that much, just step in comfort. I’m done with zoom. I’ve popped every kind of zoom bag imaginable in a few months. Zoom strobel hurts my feet, hate that stuff, bad court feel too imo
Looks like cause the GT Cut 2 didn’t sell well they blame the awesome loud colorways, so they decided to make these super boring, when really it was the awesome colorways of the 2 that made them sell at all!
Does it fit less tight than lebron 20? I tried so many pairs of lebron 20 and could never get it to fit comfortably. Always a lot of cramping and numbness in the midfoot and toes.
The fit on the gt cut 3 and academy are horrible, i just bought them on blind buy both for a total of 143 usd. bought my usual nike size, shoes were a tad bit long and suuuper snug. had issue putting them on cause i got wide midfoot with high arch. Cushion on both was stiff. Im a bit confused seeing reviewers able to bend their shoes but mines has no give like a full length shank
As a new recent ni ling fan, the new gt cut is a goat release from nike. The make up of zoom x foam truly beats all Chinese foam so far in the market. The only win for the chinese brands so far is the consistent traction that they have given us but other than that nike is destroying everyone with the x zoom setup
Me I think the AC12 have a better fit and more secure felling that I like because I be having some injuries this is more if you have advanced physicall condition and your movement like footwork is soft and like biomechanics gotta be on point cause GT cut 3 can twist
@@TommyLiu4 Its possible because your reviews and also others because I didn’t got the chance to use them but I watch a lot of reviews 😆 but I’m going with the AC12 right now is cheaper and I have some injury but if the GT Cut 3 get cheaper I wanna try it’s a unique shoe and foam from Nike but overall I’m going with wade right now .
Too expensive yet you can’t even use it outdoors because it will loose outsole quickly. that’s why chinese brands are gaining popularity because they offer durable outsole.
Too expensive to hoop, there’s always better options with cheaper price, I think Nike is kinda late to put the ZoomX into a basketball shoe cause most Chinese brands like Li-Ning & Anta are already made their own Supercritical Midsoles with carbon fiber plate very well in their running & basketball shoes

Forefoot cushion is ASS. Too low to the ground. No plushness or compression
Man all these gt releases I just another wave of retros of the Hyperdunk series….. or even a protro release???👀👀👀 a man can dream
+1 to that. Bring back Hyperdunks!

🤝🤝 Oh I see! I wasn’t sure if it was because I got the Asia release but yes the outsole does seem pretty sturdy surprisingly.
Well done, Tommy.
I still don’t know why Nike deviated from the original GT Cut.
I was lucky enough to get a pair and they are great.
👍👍
I can’t wait to get them on sale.
I like that you only put the shoe name in the title. Preferred.
The video was 🔥. As always.

Hey, thank you!! Yup I think so, sounds like a decent plan 😃 And I mean both shoes are excellent performers to me so for sure.
@@TommyLiu4 Thanks for the co sign. I also have a pair of lebron 20's (black red accent colorway) and just trying to figure out my rotation haha.
Amazing review as always!
Considering the fit, cushion and impact protection - Would you choose this or the Liren 3 Low?
Thank you! Liren 3 V2.
@@TommyLiu4 thanks! Looking forward to your Liren V4 Low review 🔥🔥🔥
Hi @TommyLiu4, between ZoomX and BOOM foam, which one is better for a player who always shoots jump shots? Which means more jumping. Thanks!
Hey BOOM
Zoom X on this shoe for example I lost some of that bounciness I had initially over time.

How does the heel and forefoot cushion compare to the pg 6?
Just cushion alone this is better. Overall I’d still take the PG 6.
@@TommyLiu4 that’s what I’m going with then. Discounted pg 6 for the win
