I worked at RPCC and Jansen's dining halls as a server during my time at Cornell (I think Jansen's closed years ago). The food was the one and only great thing about Cornell, as otherwise it was a freezing, snowing, raining, windy mess with the world's meanest students. Still, the food was glorious. Favorites were Sage (also closed) and Okenshield's inside Willard Straight (still around?). Trillium was okay back then, and Risley catered to a different crowd. For late nights, there was the Hot Truck, served by the original owner who has since passed away. The dining halls paid $5.20 an hour back then (mid 90s), and I did it for the "face time" (an old Cornell term long before it was known as an Apple app). In Collegetown, Rogan's Pizza double dough was the best. Rulloff's, the Nines, and Stella's were others I remember. Wish I could say they were great memories, but they really weren't. Especially if you're an engineer or from a warm climate or big city. Great FOOD memories, though. Maybe it's different now.
Thank you for the update on food on campus, it all looks really good, how would you compare it to Wegmans? Wegmans is always crowded at lunchtime and at US$9.00/lb. it can be expensive if you like lots of veggies. Any recommendations for other lunchtime places in town? Did you go to the Friends of the Library book sale? Perhaps a video on that? Thanks for all the videos.

Hey jessica! No, I don’t have a checklist! I think that’s good though because you don’t want to conform to what you think a college wants. Cornell does pride itself in diversity of students so I’d suggest researching fits for programs and highlighting what YOU will uniquely bring :)
