Mary, I can't begin to tell you what this video means to me and how it has touched my heart. I've been having a really hard time the last month or so. Last year, we lost my Dad suddenly from a stroke, just 3 months ago we lost my Mom to cancer. Facing the holidays without them has been so emotional. But your video, with all the beauty and magic of the season, reminded me of just how much my parents always created that wonder and welcome in their home. The moment you walked in every sight, sound, and smell was all about love and Christmas. I know now that I need that more than ever this year, for me and to honor them. Thank you so much!!! I'm crying right now but it's all good, it is just the overwhelming feeling of love, theirs and Christ's. Blessings to you and your family. I hope one day my home can be as beautiful as yours, first I need to learn to let go of some things...keeping all this stuff won't keep my grown children as babies nor will it keep my parents alive. Time to find the most meaningful and open my heart to freedom of time, of joy, and peace. ❤ I'm sure you had no idea this simple video could do all that. 🙂 🙏
Terry, I'm sorry for your lost. I know it cannot be easy but it sounds like you are well on your way. Enjoy your Christmas with Christ and as you let go of things, you will make room for just the right things so your home can begin to look like Marys. This is my first Christmas without my mom and my fifth Christmas without my dad. The holidays are so emotional,had no idea. They are tears of healing. I thank God for my memories. I want to honor their memories by keeping alive the traditions they gave me and my seven siblings

I'm a weirdo. I'm crying. Loved this so much. Brought back so many beautiful memories. Once upon a time I used to love celebrating Christmas, with a tree in every room. I don't celebrate anymore. But I love what you have done.
Your home looks so beautiful! I love that your home is white and you have a couple of colors and it just stands out so beautifully. Those green cushions are amazing...the color is so rich and the cable knit cushions look warm and cozy. You and your helper did an amazing job with the decorating. Mary you don’t usually decorate your Bedroom... This Grandma decorates her Bathroom! I have a white and black bathroom so I added red and white Santa shower curtains, red and white towels and red rugs! I also heard of a wrought iron ornaments tree that’s 6 feet tall I bought it last year. My grandchildren loved it so much I kept it up until Easter. However, I took the Christmas ornaments off of it and I decorated it for Valentine’s Day with ornaments I made with my grandchildren. Then l decorated it again for St. Patrick’s Day and finally Easter. I finally took it down but did not tell the grandchildren I just waited for them to come over. When they walked in my apartment they all groaned. I told them, Santa called and needed to borrow it. They’re all under the age of six so they believed me!

A friend had a tree in her daughters room, don’t remember the kind, but it’s branches dipped down and she found the cutest white bird feathers that were sewn together garland fashion, and she put those on the ends of the branches and it just made the snow on the tree look even better, she decorated with little wildlife ornaments and baby pink ornaments, it was honestly one of the prettiest trees I’d ever seen. The funny thing was that the tree she decorated was far more beautiful than the tree she paid to have decorated every year. By the way, my son is a runner, he lives in Spokane and he wore shorts all winter long, rain, snow, didn’t matter, he wore shorts. 🤗

So beautiful and inspiring! Last year I made a "tree collar" out of cedar fence pickets (I think I used 4") and 2x2 cedar for the corners. I just winged it so the construction was meh. I used my brad nailer. The trick was measuring the feet of the tree for size. It turned out cute and then I used it on the porch this last summer for a larger pot. I bet you could construct something even more charming that would hold up in the wet on the outside. .
