Recommend reading Wikipedia's article on Noam Chomsky, born in Philadelphia to Ashkenazi parents, brought up Jewish and taught Hebrew. Wanted to join a kibbutz in Israel but, appalled at the anti-Arab feeling, he returned to the US. His life and accomplishments are mind-blowing. Kudos to his parents, too. He thought of stuff you wouldn't believe for its intelligence. One of the most cited minds in the world.

I read your comment and was hoping for something special, but it was typical Chomsky.
Talks about surface issues, attributes everything to those, harps on conservatives, ignores the existence of the estabIishment, & makes unnecessary points (i.e. ask Orthodox Rabbis they also believe only 20% of Jews will make it).
Even before that piece^ on him, I thought he was overly-praised.
The best thing I’ve garnered from him was “the best way to limit free speech, is to limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion”-he is an embodiment of that.

Both black and white people are worse off in South Africa after apartheid. Crime, corruption and poverty when up by thousands of percent. I mean complete reversal from first world to worst third world conditions and now the electric grid doesn’t work and with the mass murders and poverty they went from one of the wealthiest countries in the world in the 90s usa lifestyle with poor black underclass to everyone living in the stone ages in less than 20 years. I don’t think that is a good example of what should be done. Though South Africa wasn’t grabbing native land and things were relatively stable. Lots of problems with Israel’s behavior but if they integrated they’d be a starving third world Islamic state and Jews would be killed en mass though the western media doesn’t care about whites being killed en mass in Africa and when people like trump or tucker Carlson mention it they get called racist so maybe they wouldn’t care about mass Jew extermination that would follow the abolition of apartheid there.

@@raymondkidwell7135 There are so many things wrong with your post:
      1) If the apartheid government wasn't
grabbing land, why did it need to force natives into congested backwater Bantustans? Is that a sign of a developed country where skin color confines you to leave in the harshest of places squeezed together like sardines?
      2) How could the natives be well off if they were literally second class citizens in their country? Were they partaking in any ownership of that "first world economy", or they were just mere laborers condemned to be a permanent underclass?
      3) How does the violence that was unleashed on natives make it a sophisticated society? Is that something to be proud of. Should the scar and trauma it left on its victims and their descendants be swept under the carpet and everyone assume that all is well?
Apartheid South Africa is a perfect example of the wrong way to build a society because of the trauma it leaves behind which takes so so much time to correct. It also shows the dangers of a single narrative, and this reflects in you saying that if there's integration Jews will be genocided, the exact thing they're doing to Palestinians but the narrative that has been repeated to you makes you think their lives are lesser lives. For your information, Jews, Christians and Muslims have lived their peacefully for hundred of years, and that's why some of the oldest churches are in Syria. Ironically, the meddling of external actors such as US and UK, whom you deem to be superior is the cause for the problems not just in Palestine but the entire Middle East. And lastly, not every Arab country is some primitive backwater, some such as UAE are very modern that most places in Western countries don't even come close. You really need reeducation.

    • @raymondkidwell7135
      @raymondkidwell7135 7 месяцев назад

@@lukemuga434 the vast majority of black people in south Africa are not native to South Africa. They moved there from other parts of Africa because the conditions were better for them. They worked for white people for low wages which was better than they could do on their own so many of them lived in densely populated areas next to densely populated white areas. South Africa put walls, fenced even land mines on its border but it could not stop all the black people who were willing to risk their life to move to a "racist" country (sound familiar?). There were vast tracks of largely uninhabited land set aside for the natives but black people from other parts of Africa settled there killing and pushing natives off. After the fall of apartheid the quality of life went down for black and white people no one benefited except corrupt leaders who were put into power. Natives were treated badly a few times several hundred years ago but not in recent history. Apartheid was attacked and over thrown because white liberals in the USA blamed black poverty on white people. And that blacks would live like whites if apartheid ended. It turned out not to be true. Apartheid is simply living apart there is nothing inherently oppressive about it though they want to live apart often because of these vast differences in crime and wealth between two groups. White people built a reservation on the most undesirable land in south Africa after apartheid was abolished. These were dirt poor whites. They do all their own labor so they can't be accused of racism. It's now the only part of south Africa where things like electricity and running water work. I forget the name of it they are up to 30,000 people I think. No crime issues it went from a backwater to the most desirable place in south Africa. Almost as if the people make the place what it is.

His political philosophy is purportedly based on empowering the oppressed and toiling masses but he has contempt for ordinary people who he regards as ignorant dupes of the privileged and the powerful. He has defined the responsibility of the intellectual as the pursuit of truth and the exposure of lies but has supported the regimes he admires by suppressing the truth and perpetrating falsehoods. He has endorsed universal moral principles but has only applied them to Western liberal democracies while continuing to rationalize the crimes of his own political favorites. When caught out making culpably irresponsible misjudgments he has never admitted he was wrong.
Today, Chomsky’s hypocrisy stands as the most revealing measure of the sorry depths to which the left-wing political activism he has done so much to propagate has now sunk.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
00:12 🇺🇸 The question relates to the bonds between conservative America and Israel, driven by a combination of ideology, propaganda, lobbying, and money.
01:23 🌐 The Republican Party's strong support for Israeli policies is fueled by Christian evangelicals and their interpretation of the Bible, even though they hold extreme anti-Semitic views.
03:10 🔫 The Republican Party also mobilizes support from those who feel the need to carry firearms due to historical fears in the United States.
03:48 🇺🇸 Nativist sentiments among the white population who fear a loss of dominance play a role in supporting Israeli policies within the Republican Party.
04:16 💰 The Republican Party has shifted towards mobilizing its base around social issues to support extreme wealth and corporate power, with strong pro-Israel elements.
05:36 🤝 The unique U.S. support for Israeli policies developed in 1967 when Israel's actions aligned with American interests in supporting radical Islam over secular nationalism in the Arab world.
08:33 🚁 The U.S.-Israel relationship extends beyond political support to close military and intelligence collaboration, including high-tech military production.
10:14 📜 There are significant cultural factors, including Christian Zionism, high-level policy makers influenced by religious beliefs, and a settler colonial society resonance with the U.S. that contribute to the close relationship with Israel.

It goes deeper, than that. The image of god must be kept white, globally. If people believe, the Bible is true, that the chosen people were white, then people believe, Jesus is white, therefore also believe the Hebrews, were white. Just look at all, the worlds, beauty standards, everyone loves white and idolize fair skin, over anything black. The real Hebrews were Black not White, Jesus was black not White. Even the Nazis figured this out.

This is a fear and a label that permeates from US to South Africa, from Brazil to Australia.
It's an indication of the Jewish wealth and power in the sectors of mining , commerce, financial services, pharmaceuticals, media and medicine.
This power is utilised to motivate, influence and brainwash the vast populations of the western world into submission to Israel and to accept that everything Israel do is in self defense and for the good of a greater cause.

Classic Chomsky gatekeeping. He never mentions the fact the Neoconservatism’ influence over the Republican Party, and that Neoconservatism was founded by Zionist Jews who were staunch Trotskyites. Or that Neoconservatism had the backing of Jewish pro-Israel billionaires, who funded Trump, and currently fund DeSantis. And that the “anti-woke” crowd (Ben Shapiro, Dave Ruben, etc,) are also aligned with these same Jewish billionaires, and have helped to fund a divide within “independent media”.
Nor does he mention that the Corporatist Neoliberal Stalinists have also fully supported Israel’s genocidal policies, and that regardless of US party politics, Israel has received billions of US taxpayer aid, and has been “cooperating” with the Military Industrial Complex through Bi-National trade agreements (BIRD & BARD). And when Israel wasn’t able to glean technology from the US, they resorted to spying and corporate espionage.
And remember, Chomsky had financial dealings with Epstein well after his conviction for abuse of minors. Chomsky is smart enough to know that the Epstein blackmail operation was a Mossad funded venture approved by Israel’s elite.
Besides, when it comes to Evangelicals, he neglects to mention that “dispensationalism” (Scofield and Darby) was funded by the Zionist movement as part of a strategy to align Christian America with the same death-cult beliefs in end-times apocalyptic fantasies from the Torah, and how the Zionists are have been trying to manufacture the Isaiah prophecies…
So much more that Chomsky never mentions, which is equivalent to lying by omission, yet people put him on a pedestal.

Give him all the power and he would be as bad as any totalitarian ruler because he doesn't see the whole truth. There is no best or right way to run a country but the US does better than Russia, China, and Iran. Truth to Power sounds nice? The expression to speak truth to power implies a moral imperative to stand up for what is right, especially to national leaders, even when it's not the easiest thing to do. But come on the opinions of many and the ability to see the truth is limited at times. I might think socialism or communism seem better on the shallow surface but their countries are often more corrupt. We will never wipe out bias and hate from the exploiters and the exploitees. If you start to speak truth to power and other knowledgeable people hear, they might disagree or tear apart your words.
Not that you shouldn't be allowed or Chomsky shouldn't speak out about the dangers of the US but how about talking down about the horrors and dangers of other superpowers. Chomsky minimizes the threat of other superpowers' evils because he's a jerk and side-minded.

I'm an Eastern Band Cherokee disconnected from my tribe through genocidal effort. We survived the trail. We survived the Civil War. We survived the loss of half our clans (families), the suppression of our customs and language (largely at the hands of WOMEN mind you, not necessarily men, we are matrilineal people that's huge). You know what really did it? Diplomacy. Bureaucracy. Trade. That's what ultimately destroyed how thinfs were, separated us from our land and caused several other prominent minorities to seem to think we don't exist anymore.
I see myself in what the people of Palestine are experiencing. I see the pained joy on my 98 years old grandmother's face showing her that I can type in our language on my smartphone because we pushed for that. I see the pain of separation from graves, from land, from community, from kinship.
I am with them. I also support a home for the Jewish populace. I do not support the governments of either side but it is CLEAR who is doing the most harm here.
The greatest horror for me in all of this? Knowing that the folks doing it know what this feels like but they do it anyway.
    Ceasefire. Land Back. Free Palestine.
Was very encouraged by the Genocide Day (Thanksgiving) parade being disrupted loudly with calls to Free Palestine.
