As a musician I can shed a little light on this. The great thing about music is there are almost seemingly endless possibilities of what you can achieve. HOWEVER every song is played in a certain key and from my own experince with writing and conducting music is that sometimes it may sound similar but it's the way you change it up and variety it that matters. This song would be a good lead in, or lead out to Curfew as a follow up in concert since it's close or in the same key as this song. That's why it sounds so similar but he did so much with the flow that's its drastically different. In fact most big hit songs are usually only 3 to 4 simple chords. Sometimes just different variations and lyrical prowess. If you've ever heard Oliver Trees music it's a good example. Some of his stuff sounds the same but he likes to stick to a certain key. But he still does enough in the song to make it completely different and in a concert setting being able to easily transition to the next song is beautiful.

I don't understand why Token doesn't have the recognition of Artists like Logic/Joyner at least at this rate. Like I understand the collabs can open you up to a new audience, and Token isn't a big fan of that. Which I mean he collaborated with Tech N9ne so I feel like he should have gotten a little more recognition from that on his last album.
