The ideas are great, im 47 living in bklyn, our card collecting as teens was limited to just one small Asian toy store that happened to sell packs for $2-$7 all packs was in a acrylic glass with prices, hobby box behind each pack that you could buy for $39, this same toy store is where I pulled my kobe rookies in the 90's....Now its this a walk in version of dreams
I wish yall wouldve used your "comp station" when you guys lowballed the shit out of me. Offered me $300 for a luka artist proof RC /25 PSA 9. I Sold for $1200. Offered me $800 for a card I sold for $5500. Offered me $20-$50 for many Trae Young rookies that i sold $150-$500. A complete joke.
I stopped on my way to spring break and sold cards to Ryan in store and had a great experience. He was easy to deal with and actually asked questions about cards that were low pop and didn’t have a lot of comps and was fair about price. I sold them a lot (30+ slabs) of $25-100 Braves/griffey/baseball and I think that’s key because I’d much rather take the 70% cash or 80% store credit than list those type of cards on eBay and deal with the shipping etc. and put that money into other singles I want more.
Great idea!! Now time to franchise. Imagine an inventory system that is a network of multiple locations using the same system and pricing strategy. That could compete with eBay.

Periodically plan to step back to celebrate the progress of the journey. Also make it a priority to simply tell individual employees "Thank You". Easier said than done when everyone's busy, but the benefits are undeniable in retrospect...always.

People have been doing Facebook lives at trade nights for years . There’s a store in Washington that’s used to go live for like 4 hours walking you around trade night Geoff shows his ignorance when he acts like everything he does has never been done before

Pre pandemic Don’t get me wrong . I’ll watch. Love the concept . It’ll be awesome. You just take it a tad too far when you claim to be the first one to ever do certain things. Geoff I appreciate your passion for the hobby, but I dont see how the economics make sense here. Your track record is also less than good with your ideas. The big players are making big moves and I dont see the path to compete with the Fanatics, PSA and Ebay of the sports card business world. good luck though

Jeff wasn’t seems stressed out I think he could’ve made the shop, smaller and more elegant. I think he hired Beavis and Butthead as co-owners. I think he could’ve done all this by himself.
