First off I wanna say thanx for keeping an old bike alive and riding! And second off I wanna say very very good video. You included every detail, every camera angle, very well done my friend. I ordered one of the windshields for my bike just to see how it looks and feels. Not really a fan of them especially a cheap one but we'll see.
@@myemail2005 yeah I had installed it. Was just some cheap junk from Ebay. I kinda liked it but I didn't like the brackets that came with it. To cheap and flimsy. Got too much head buffeting from it so I removed it. I rather feel the wind
I saw the screen on eBay so this was exactly the video I was looking for; now I'm old I need to sit up straight, so I've been looking for something that fits older bikes (mine's a '79).
You know where to find a one of mount? I had one break today. Some bumps loosened it up I tried to spin it back. One side moved and the other cracked clear in half. For $40 I guess I could just get another
The negative effect of those windshields are the tubulens behind the windshield hitting the helmet. It sounds like you get a lot of it in the video. How bad is it?
Yes, depending on the angle it does knock your head around. I still think it is more quiet than no windshield at all. Also, if any bugs do not hit the windshield they are directed straight into the top of your head haha it makes a nice *smack*- still better than them hitting you in the neck or chest
It's holding up fine, it hasn't vibrated loose or stripped out or anything like that. I think a windshield does make a difference in that the wind doesn't push you around as much, it cuts down on wind noise a lot, and it helps with bugs. It also helps a little on a cold night but a windshield alone won't save you, you'll still need a jacket or whatever.
@@brassandgasyt1395 thanks for your quick response and thanks again for the video plan on riding longer into the winter hope this helps me on those cold days
@mike brink Yeah everything black is plastic with metal threaded inserts for the bolts but it's all cheap stuff. I had one strip out and I had to drill it and put a bolt through
Thanks for this Really well done and informative Video. How much difference would you say it made to the whole riding experience and speed of the Bike ?
I say it helps a lot with wind noise and being pushed around by the wind. It helps a little with temp but if you're riding when it's chilly you should still bundle up. It also will stop a lot of bugs from hitting you in the chest/neck/face haha
Love the video man. I’ve got the same bike, and I’ve been looking for an exhaust to make her sound a little meaner. What kind of pipes do you have on there?
Been thinking about one of these for my honda shadow. But with smoke not clear screen. Glad I found this video.. its made me make my mind up.. cheers

Good video, thanks. Easy to follow and no annoying music.
Wow!!! It really looks good on your yamaha and it holding pretty strong. Thanks for sharing
Awesome video review,
There's nothing like a 4cylinders sound
Thank you, I'm ordering one now on Amazon.
That’s one cool bike!

I think it's the stock exhaust pipes but the baffles are gutted out. I like how it sounds but it does have drone on the highway.
