Great information as always. Love the idea of saving rain water for the plants. And boy, the idea of youguys raising ducklings is amazing. Saving them from extinction 👏👏 Thank you so much for your videos. This made me want a water feature in my garden- thinks it would be a bit weird to have a water feature in a cottage garden?
Allen , the more I watch your YT videos, the more I admire you and your work, all topics are very interesting.especially animal conservancy. More power and great health to you.!
Posting in April 2020. Well well well... I found one of those Siberian Scillas popped up in my yard this Spring. Had never seen it before and didn't know what it was. But thanks to you P Allen, I now know! It's a lovely little plant. Wish it lasted all Summer. Only 2 popped up this year. But I've read they readily seed. So I expect more next Spring. Such a welcome sight after a snowy cold Winter in Iowa. .
I love the sound of water trickling and have had small fountain features in the past, but last year my son helped me build a 20' pondless waterfall feature that is up and running this year. I am in heaven! Another enjoyable episode!
Allen this is such a great video you have help me with my koi fish pond I Know now that I can not put plants in my pond the koi ate them all.Your ponds are beautiful and the flowers are so pretty around your ponds. Thanks again for another great video.😊
Great show !!!! Wow.. diverse & very informative- I LOVE the design at the end. I was thinking pachysandra... Vinca is awesome because of the pretty flowers. Beautiful design.
QUESTION re bath salts: is baking powered accurate, or is it baking soda? I’ve never baking powder outside of cooking, but obviously baking soda for lots of things. Seemed strange, so wanted to make sure. Thanks! ❤️
I saw the pine straw used to prevent runoff. I have a client who has grass at the edge of her yard and in that area there are lots of bare spots where the rain just washes the mulch down and into the street. I was wondering if pine straw could be used in this area along with the grass. I did not want to remove all the grass but just to add this to the bare spots. Perhaps adding seed as well to the straw. If not seed just adding the straw. When the guys come to cut the grass just asking them to use a trimmer around that area. What do you think. Thanks for your great videos.
@james morgan I don't think it's BS. They restrict it because people leave the barrels open and it's breeding ground for mosquitoes. Mosquitoes carry diseases not to mention they're pesky... Many cities spray for them so they don't want people breeding them. Clean up your mouth too. It's disrespectful to P Allen Smith. Thanx.

I use native plants in my yard.. they require less water once they are established.
Great

Also can you plant in this?
Unfortunately some cities are restricting collecting rain water. It’s stupid but they get away with it.
