I was literally just looking online to buy a kindle as a gift to myself for getting into university, and then Sara uploads a video about a kindle. Either this is a sign or Sara can read minds from half way across the world.

Kindle has no cons for me, i dont even read physical books anymore! Its lightweight, easy to travel with as you mentioned. My favorite is that you can read at night! Omg if anyone is thinking about purchasing a kindle, go for it! I find that reading on my ipad or phone strains my eyesight the kindle does not. ❤️
A couple things to note for people kinda confused about the payment & book limit thing:
-after you purchase your kindle you DONT have to may monthly unless you sign up for kindle unlimited which gives you thousands of books to read for free through your subscription. Otherwise if you don’t want that you just pay for every book you download
-as far as a limit if you have the 8GB (base version) storage it will hold HUNDREDS of books but kindle unlimited books are limited to 20 at a time in your library. So if it’s telling you to delete one for another it’s because you have too many kindle unlimited books in your library!
I know this was confusing for me at first so I want to help clarify for some. I HOPE THIS HELPS !!🥰
Yes. I was going to comment the kindle unlimited books are similar to a library. It tells you to return them when you are done to add more (you just don't have a time limit).
Does the KU “downloads” affect the 8GB?
@@maidrav5019 they will take up the same amount of space as a book you purchased! but once you return it to KU, it will free up space. 8gb is a LOT with books though. you can have up to like 6000 books downloaded with that amount of storage. audiobooks are a diff story though

Love my kindle! And to fix the random book covers that appear on your lockscreen: Go settings and then device options and turn on “display cover.” It’ll make your lockscreen the cover of whatever book you’re currently reading!
I think this is only if you pay to not have ads!
you have to pay to remove adds before you do this
TIP FOR KINDLE IF U HAVE AN IPHONE: if ur ever not on wifi, away from home or whatever the situation, you can connect to ur phone hotspot on ur kindle to update ur library or download a book!! just a little tip :)

Yesss! I have been reading all kindle books on my iPad. No need for an actual kindle. And when I don’t have my iPad, I read it on my phone. All through the kindle app. So easy & convenient.
You can get an anti blue light screen protector for your iPad as well so it’s as easy on your eyes as a kindle is!

I've been so obsessed with my Kindle lately. Especially at night I get so much reading done. And Amazon has had some sweet deals lately on kindle books.

recently i've been thinking about getting a kindle and then sara uploads this video😅 this was so so helpful!!
kindle unlimited only allows u to borrow up to 20 books at a time so u will need to eventually swap BUT if u remove it from ur library and then a couple months later u want to reread it or whatever and download it back to ur library, ur highlights and annotations will still be there :) and another tip if ur like me and u download every book to ur library that's on ur tbr and u hit the 20 max, u can easily make a list instead (the button underneath "add to library") and put it all there! it acts as another little library and u can access the list right in the app on ur phone and easily add books to ur library whenever u want to read it!

Literally loveeeee my kindle! I bought one back in March (partly because of your last Kindle video). The only physical books I buy now are Colleen just because I’d love to have them all🥰 and I love the aesthetic. But everything else is on my kindle. It’s great because it has night mode so you can read it while in bed without disturbing your husband lol.

I feel like I need to put it out there since I don't see people mentioning it but you can also transfer books to your kindle :) I live in Serbia where I am not able to have an Amazon account or buy the books.
Attach it to your PC/Laptop and I recommend converting PDF files into MOBI for a better experience and display of the book but there's many more formats for Kindle. You just copy paste your books into the downloads folder and bippity boppity boo :D it saves even more money if you are able to find books online for free

by the way at the end of this year kindle is switching to from MOBI to EPUB files (the same format that ibooks uses)

I have a Nook which is the Barnes&Noble brand e-reader and I’ve always loved having an e-reader. I do wish that we had something like kindle unlimited where we could download stuff instead of having to buy each ebook individually. I do love having a digital option especially since some ebooks are free anyways or generally cheaper!

I just love the scent and the feeling of book pages, so I think the only time when I'll have to change it for a kindle is when I move out and can't bring my books with me till I have another room for a home library lol

yeah sis! if you just go to your settings you can change whether the “sleep screen” shows something from your library, or just a random picture that has nothing to do with your books.
I LOVE reading on my Kindle & on the Kindle App on iPhone... So convenient... I especially love how the app has endless scrolling(kinda wish the actual kindle did that... But like you said, you can pull your phone out and just start reading anywhere...
I'm 70% through Darling Venom and it's probably going to be a 5 star or very close... I'm lovin' it... And Birthday Girl is still my favorite romance... I guess I have a thing for age-gap
on your settings if you go to device options and then switch device cover on, it will only display the cover of your current read when the screen is locked! x
Hi Sara here is how you find out your kindle info go to settings press the three dots at the top and then press device info and it should tell you, also loving your content ❤️❤️❤️

you have the kindle with the ads so you can upgrade it for ad free or i saw a few people saying they messaged amazon support and asked them to take it off and they did it for them for free

for the part where you said you needed to delete a book from your library to get another book-kindle unlimited has a limit of 10 books (i think it’s for the free books). so, if you have more than 10 books you may need to swap books out. that is what i experienced last year, but i’m not sure if it’s still the same :). i hope everyone has the best day today 💗

I had the problems with the cover, you have to go to the marketing section on your Amazon account. I don’t know the specifics but you just need to turn of the marketing ads x

also there is an option somewhere in the settings to set your kindle to show the cover of the book you are reading on the screen when it is on sleep mode. :)

KU is hard for me because I feel like I always like physical books more than my ebooks. Even with that being said I have no regrets with my membership and my kindle!

You should be able to see the type of kindle in your account settings. I think it’s under your device or account. I believe you can also stick a memory card in the kindle to extend the memory. It’s the mini SDcard. I love my kindle lately. Unpopular opinion, I like the kindle fire so the covers are in color 🤷🏻♀️

Bestie you can get the random book cover ads removed !! Just message amazon customer service, you can pay to get them taken off but sometimes they'll do it for free

Thanks for the video! I love my kindle and Kindle Unlimited! I’ve always read but with Kindle Unlimited I read at least one book a day if not two. If I read it on the kindle and I love it, I’ll get the physical and highlight my favorite parts. I’m reading great reviews on Say You Swear, I look forward to reading it. I don't know if someone has said this but with the ADS on th3 kindle you can call Amazon and talk to a Kindle rep and ask them to review the ads for a small charge. For me it was 10 dollars us. I hope this helps.
for the part when you mentioned the random book covers- that’s becasude your kindle is a paper white with ad support, basically just means it was a bit cheaper but instead of a normal lock screen it shows ads for books (:

In my kindle settings I was able to change the Lock Screen to not show explicit content. This really helps so if I leave my kindle laying around it won’t have a shirtless man on it lol. Highly recommend doing this!!
If you dont want the weird screensavers on your kindle you can hold down the power button and turn the entire screen off, thats one of the cons i had originally lol

i have a kindle and i found the way to not have the ads with random people on it. All you have to do is press on the turn off button and hold until the screen turns white and then to turn it on you just press the button.

For deleting the books because of storage, it might be because on unlimited you can only have 10 books downloaded at a time
Unfortunately I don’t think the screen that flashes book covers when the kindle is off can be changed. When I bought my kindle I had the option to buy it without the ads on the screen or with the ads, but it was more expensive to take the ads off. So I don’t think there’s anything you can do to change it😔 (I still love my kindle tho). I just bought a case so the screen is covered when I’m not reading!
Talk to amazon! I bought the ones with ads, talked to support and asked them to take the ads off and they did. Sometimes they'll charge for $20 to remove them, but they did it for free for me.
