We all have an accent, even in our own primary language (Southern drawl, country twang, New Jersey whatever that "you guys" accent is called, etc.) I was lucky enough to be an exchange student in high school, living with a family in Parral, Chihuahua in Mexico. I learned Spanish with a norte~no accent -- which became really obvious when I visited Chile ...
