Love this! As a long time fan of the sidemen, I personally wouldn't really call it Sidekicks, it doesn't really give off Sidemen vibes for me - I'd just call it SDMN as their charity match team was SDMN FC, and they have merch appreciated as SDMN. Or, XIX Esports. Everyone did an amazing job, though! More than I could ever do! I love the typography on the red team.

The CLEAR winner was Blue, it wasn't even CLOSE, the Blue Team's logo was more pleasing, more on theme, more thought-out, and leaned to the Esports/ Sidemen side way more than Red Team's, if Sidemen were ever to create an Esports Team, the branding 100% would be closer to the Blue team than the Red team
But alright, you guys are the professionals here, not me
I think it’s clear to those maybe because of the presentation. But it was close however blue teams overall vision lacked. It was 4 people designing 4 different things. Not 4 people designing 1 purpose. No cohesion or constancy with the look.

ill be honest , not diggin the red team logo at all , also i think the blue teams work looked more pleasing to the eye. maybe its just me
I agree and it sticks more to the sidemen brand
The red team's logo show difference from the Sidemen brand. If the sub-brand applies the same rules its parent company had, it will naturally draw confusion as the mind only has limited space to remember a brand dominating a specific niche. That's why you don't see any association of Proctor&Gamble with their sub-brands.

this contest being straight up a pitch between design companies is great!
blue team logo was cool for an esports team and would make for a great hat.. the deliverable graphics was simple enough for someone to recognize at first glance what the post is about (a rocket league match).. their twitter banner deliverable was mundane and highlighted one of the color schemes issues.
As far as the red team goes, im biased towards really cool typography designs. Theirs was somewhat hectic, and forces people to really explore the design to get info. (Visual hierarchy should make it easy but still) the colors really helped make things pop more. They showed me that you shouldn’t always base your color choice off of meaning alone, especially if its not working out well in the grand scheme of things. Or if you’re going to go by color meaning, spread the values more. (Since purple and gold works for the lakers fine)
