android 12 if im not mistaken, it should be possible since the android 13 are being patch with anti rollback firmware bootloader patch. feel free to correct me if im mistaken

Open CMD in adb directory and type Code: adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.android.phone 7. Restart your device 8. Connect to WiFi, and open Chrome. Type any website in and hit enter 9. Go to developer options and press OEM Unlocking 10. 10. Reboot into bootloader via CMD and type the following code: Fastboot OEM unlock or Fastboot flashing unlock 11. Be aware that unlocking your bootloader will erase everything

Nope. All other Pixel 2 XL's from all other providers can have the Bootloader unlocked but NOT the Verizon variant. That's why it's best to buy it directly from Google and NOT from Verizon. I'm in the same boat as you. The gang over at XDA-Developers.com are still hard at work trying to find a way to do it tho. I think I might have a way around it. DM me for more info.

Its because once you upgraded from jan 8.1 patch , this exploit no longer works. Verizon screwed everyone again, lol
