Just started doing a 1992 CB750 myself. Been posting videos of it, obviously of much less quality though. CB's are awesome bikes though! Curious to see the end result.
Hey Nick, Thanks for watching our video! You won the compression tester! Please send an email to social@eastwood.com with your address so we can get it shipped out to you ASAP!
The world does not need or want another cafe racer, that project has been done to death. The future would be better served by restoring this bike to its former glory for future generations to enjoy.
That compressor tester would be great for any tesla owner to see how full of air they are! In all reality though, my '78 GS750 is on deck for a cafe resto-mod! Would love to use it, JOE!!
you should drop a teaspoon of oil into the cylinder you are going to test and this will tell you if it's the rings that are worn. the compression should increase if they are as the oil fills the void between piston and cylinder.
Nice Bike ! It would be easier if you get a axillary tank instead of trying to work under the gas tank . Boy ,that is wonderful compression for my herd of vintage bikes !
You do know that the throttle should be wide open during a compression test, right? Also, on some bikes with electronic ignitions the spark plugs should be placed in the caps and grounded somewhere on the engine or you could damage the ignition when turning it over. I thought you were wasting a lot of time making those engine removal blocks, but was impressed at how well they worked.

Right on! Good luck with the build.

@@eastwoodco Awesome!!! Just e-mailed you guys!
Looking forward to watching the build progress.
The jig is up with the saw you used to cut that lifting jig. If only there was such thing as a jig saw.
I kid. I would have used a stump grinder. :P
Excellent project to pass the time away here in Australia during Winter. Good on ya Mate!! Greetings from Down Under.
Greetings right back at ya! Thanks for watching. 🦘

You should check the valve clearances before jumping in to rings.... very often they'll close up and the valves leak. Especially the exhaust side.
Stumbled across this video and now I think my 83 cb750 is going to get an overhaul! Hope Im ready
Send us pics! We're huge CB750 fans over here. 🏍 @eastwoodco on Instagram!
Looking forward to the build!
Like the bit about those screwdrivers love to learn about things like that great job on the bike Honda makes good stuff😎
Thanks Devon. Check out Vessel Impactas if you ever need a JIS screwdriver. My personal favorite. Thanks for watching.

Wish you guys would show the finished cushman project. It's been a few years since the last update...
Unfortunately, that project had to be sent out to pasture. Sorry about that.
Nice work Joe!
Thank you! Cheers!

Love your videos!! Learning something new every day 👌🏾
Thanks Marcos!

If only the old 750’s compression was as “pumped up” as your excitement for this project 😆
😭 If only...
I have a job waiting for that compression testing kit!
Good luck!

Love it
I could really use that tester. I think my wife blew a gasket all the time spent working on my bike.
Best of luck!
Thanks for showing how to use the compression tester. I was putting it in all the wrong spots and getting crazy numbers 😳
Man! Don’t you wish Eastwood made a nice jigsaw or something so you didn’t have to use a Sawzall? 😂🙄
We DO make a nice jigsaw. However, it has a 1" stroke. Not enough to get through a 2x4. Haha

That thing has COVID compression
It's going on 40 years old and has asthma, so it's definitely at risk of getting COVID. haha

My girlfriend can blow harder and give better compressions than that engine.
