The rear box is set so far back that your tail-light is now almost hidden. For safety, I suggest you get some aux red LEDs and stick them to the box itself to make yourself more visible.
Yes, audio and video were great! I love the yellow. Also, that color will help with safety, as others being able to see you better on the road. Enjoy your adventures!!
Bumblebee, I like it! Thanks for talking us through the process. I appreciate the baht / dollar conversion. Could you also do km / miles? Or I could learn metric better / not be lazy. 😆 The video and audio was good. I am excited for your trip! Have fun and be safe!
Very smart idea going with a smaller bike. Much better on gas and easy to maneuver in traffic. I hope to do the same thing and ride all over Philippines in two years. Hope are paths will cross at some point.. Ride on Man!!!
Thanks for the video Kevin. Pretty bike and the right size and power too. I bought a bike when I 1st moved to Thailand bcoz that's what most foreigners do. That lasted about a month. Between the heat the rain breathing dirty exhaust fumes and the crazy drivers I had had enough. Buying a car was the single best thing I ever did. I also enjoy touring the country and having the freedom to stop and go whenever I want and not just going from point A to point B. Good luck and pls be careful.
Love the video. I had no idea those types of bikes were automatic. This just opened up a whole new method of slow travel for me! Love the channel and all the videos. Keep up the great work.
When you go into a Southeast Asia, and you're a find a one of a best gem for a automatic transmission motorcycle, wow you're amazing bro!, It's a perfect choice 👍, regards from me An 155 Aerox Riders Indonesia 😁
Hmmm I fell off my bicycle a couple of years ago, broke my shoulder. Fell off it again a couple of days ago. Even though I've been very careful and am agile, you never know. So I wish you safe travels Kevin. Be hyper vigilant ALL THE TIME!
Would've liked to see the under seat storage. Great riding footage and audio was clear. Didn't know the camera was on your chest, saw your left hand off the handlebar and just figured it was holding the camera. I imagine the insurance is pretty cheap for this type of bike as well. Nice Ride!
Glad to see you are doing well in Thailand, always learn so much watching your videos. Also, love the idea of a yellow bike and basically making it a character for the channel!
Great video and you live in my area too, i wanted to buy a bike live in the Thailand but other videos did not contain as much as your video. Thank you for the information enjoy your trip .
Congratulations! Looks great. Bumblebee is my favorite Transformer… Your video and sound was great. Can you get a retrofit to keyless? Thanks for sharing the experience.
Nice and needed purchase, enjoy the ride and be safe…you can buy a lanyard like those quick disconnects for boats to remember that you don’t forget the key (if pulling it will not make your bike fall)…
Audio.was good. Nice bike. I rented the 125 Click from Mike but think I will be grabbing a PCX when I come back. The AeroX is really nice and quicker but I think the PCX has a little nicer ride for the longer day trips, 2nd rider,, etc. CONGRATULATIONS!
Great video and awesome bike Bro! Thanks for the shop as well since those prices were great!! The video and sound quality was great! I really cannot wait to come over!! Were you using your phone or a camera?
Hey ! a new subscriber, and yellow ,so the experts say is the safest colour on a vehicle , looking forward to your exploits , you have an easy voice to listen to too, I may purchase a Yamaha Aerox also when I finally get back to asia , I may visit Thailand first , as the scenery, culture, people ,food, beaches are aspects to experience from what I have seen, cheers and beers !
@@30AndAWakeUp You can modify it to 8 litres. In Thailand it's much easier to modify this bike. Since it's so popular, I'm sure you can find a shop who'll replace the tank for you
I'm subscribed and enjoy the channel. I'm retiring at 56 next year. I've visited BKK 6 or 7 times myself. I'm moving to the On Nut area next August. From there, who knows? Vietnam was also nice. Not sure I'll get a bike in BKK. A little too crazy. US Navy 84-88. We never went to Pattaya. For us it was Subic Bay. Good luck with the road trip. I'll be following along.
I love the yellow scooter!!! Such a fun colour and also has higher visibility. Great call, getting the storage. The video and audio, on the ride, were good 👍
Congratulations on the bike - riding footage and sound were excellent! Coincidence that a MC buys a yellow bike with a red storage box attachment - made me think of a semaphore flag- stay safe out there
Ok Kevin, this looks promising. I'll subscribe hoping to follow you as you tour Thailand. There's a few other guys doing likewise on small scoots, so I hope you enjoy it all as much as they do. Best wishes.
One thing you have not mentioned (maybe because ur new to Thailand) is that the automatic bikes heve a place for your feet that is protected from water pools on the road! Its very welcome since we tend to wear only flip flops.
Safe travels on the bike. I am an expat living in Greece (I am actually Greek born and lived in the US) and I own a SYM Symphony SR 125 ABS. Nice riding footage, but please use both hands for safety.
Careful with the box on the back. The weight back there and the sail area really affects the handling. The wind impact on the bike is also increased. Have fun!
I agree to travel on the back roads at slower speeds. You will see much more, experience more and it's probably safer. It looks like a great plan for fun and adventure. Just like van travel, it's not just the destination, it's also what's in between...
Hi, just thought I would mention that I purchased that exact color and model of scooter but new a few years ago. I am very pleased with my one. My one is also called Bumblebee, but I only called it this name because of its colors (same as a bee). Its name I put on the front on the yellow fairing rater than the black part where you want to put the transformer symbol. That scooter will cruise along at over 100KPH, and since one can not use a motorbike or scooter on the toll ways (no matter how powerful), and the highways are too congested to exceed 100KPH anyway you have more than enough power. Just a shame that the fuel tank is so limited. My one is also stored at my condo at Jomtien, but I am currently stuck in Australia and can not get back to Thailand probably for another 6 months or so. Anyway, enjoy that scooter :)
Congrats on the new bike! Not sure whether you are using a GoPro like camera? I think getting a GoPro/ Gopro clone kind of small camera that you can mount on helmet/body/ even the bike to shoot while riding cause this won't work out well I guess, riding with one hand. Added advantage it's waterproof so you can take it in rain, on the beach etc. GoPro Clone cameras are cheap.
Great bike, the only downside is the knee situation. Those pointy bits are a killer if you're above 175cm. After a few hours it's torture. Hope you won't experience this. Enjoy the travels!
He totally reminds me of Bumblebee!! 🤩 I can just hear him making those transforming sounds. That Autobots logo on the front is going to be so sweet! My little brother used to make me play Transformers with him and would get all flustered ("Autobots don't cry, stupid!!" 😂). Of course the movies always had me boo hoo-ing, too. Can't wait for the bike tour!
💡⭐️Suggestion: Attach one end of a flexible / retracting lanyard to the bike key and the other end to your pants belt loop so you won’t forget to take the key with you when you exit the bike. Safe travels. 🙏💝
The video and audio were good and I look forward to your adventures. I did wonder why you got the box when you could just wear your backpack. Too hot for that?
Another smart decision Master Chief. The Yamaha isn't as popular with the Thais as Honda so the Yams will depreciate more coming off the lot as there isn't as much resale demand...So you get great value with a used Yamaha.
So you are now doing 30 weeks and a wake up. Yellow looks great, especially for videos. The audio sounded pretty good. I thought you were using a separate microphone. Scootering makes more sense that a motorcycle there. Not sure if you want to use a scooter in Vietnam. I understand the roads are not too good and a motorcycle with the larger diameter tires would (bumble) bee more ideal. I am still trying to catch up on your videos. Thank you for sharing and have a great day.
Nope, Ive switch locations every 30 days, was in Bangkok, then Pattaya, now Jomtien. I have to stay here a little longer for administrative reasons..but still moving every 30 days or less like always.
I don't know what the process is now but it use to be that you could only take a Thai registered motorbike out of the Kingdom for 30 days, every day outside the 30 is a fine of 1000thb and you have to get a temporary export license beforehand also, so please check if and when you take it to Laos, Cambodia etc etc.. Look forward to your Thailand Tour 🇹🇭👍
The adventure begins ! Love the yellow bike and your reason for the name Bumblebee. I thought the recording was great- would not have known it was your first time. Any idea what that bike would sell for in the US? Are they even street legal?
Heads up if you are using a late model IPhone Apple has a warning against mounting on a phone holder on motorcycle. It apparently damages the camera. Suggest a Bluetooth helmet and put your phone in your jacket. I use a tank bag but don’t think that will work on your scooter
@@30AndAWakeUp Your scooter may be smooth enough for it not to be an issue. Bluetooth helmets are still an awesome feature and will probably help you narrate on the go.
I'm an expat Aerox rider in Taiwan using it for uber eats here. I wasn't sure how to make it faster so I went with RCB wheels a 120 80 14 rear and 100 80 14 front shaving 5+kg of rotating weight. The bike is almost too fast now. Stock engine. It has so much torque that its starting to hurt my lower back. It's also stiff as FK. I'm looking to lengthen it 3-5cm with an engine hanger to change rear suspension geometry from straight up to angled making it more comfortable.
Good choice. I know how to ride but whenever I go to Patts, I opt for an automatic scooter because things happen really fast on the road over there. Auto scooter is just so much easier.
After riding around Bangkok for a few years I can somewhat understand your point about automatics. But I opted for the Honda Wave anyway because I like the control of manual shift, even in traffic. The other reason is that most automatics have foot platforms which I don't like. I prefer foot posts for better reaction at low speeds. If only they would make a Wave 150, like Vietnam has.
Hi Kevin. I have the same bike bought from the same place. After a little bit of travel on my beast I found the fuel tank is a little small for touring especially if your going in the hills. I would recommend a fuel tank upgrade from 4.5 to a 7 or 9 litre. Plus a spare bottle of 1 litre as an emergency. Having nearly run out of fuel riding a different bike on the Ho Chi Minh highway in the mountains of Vietnam it’s no fun. Especially when you know the hills have eyes 👀like leopards and tigers. 💩 PS do you have Mapme which works off GPS and not WiFi. 👍
