I also started from the bank, float tube, small 12 foot flat bottom plastic "crawdad" boat to a 1987 bass tracker to finally my Ranger at the age of 32. I can see the excitement in your face! Great feeling working hard for something and finally getting it! Well deserved Tim! Those Champions are great riding boats for sure! Stay safe out there.
Tim I'm so glad to see you went used ! I just did a few videos on my channel during my boat buying process, and I went the used route as well. People really look up to us as fisherman especially with you guys being over 100k now. The way RUclips is today I'm sure people were expecting you to be showing off a $80,000 Ranger w/ $20,000 in accessories. This will really help people understand WHY it is a better option to find a good used boat instead of paying all that extra money for a new one. Thanks for putting all this time into a fantastic channel, you guys are the best hands down. Look forward to every video.
I love how you guys relate to almost every stage of angler! Y’all are most humble but filled with knowledge. Congratulations on a beautiful purchase the boat looks fantastic.
I want tthe bass boat companies to comprehend your sincerity and commitment to quality while not being able to spend more than say 20,000, right? We need this market to have more of a voice and so I salute your video.
I've had a 360 for 2 years it is awesome. I fish heavily pressured water and it allows me to find all kinds of random items on the bottom that hold fish that nobody else fishes. You will love it!
this video made me smile, i can see by the grin on your face tim that your as happy as a new dad with that sweet rig congratulations on your success and the new rig
Big congrats Tim on the new boat! That big smile says it all. Feels great to save for something you really want and see it all work out before your eyes. Enjoy it my friend!
You guys are growing fast for three reasons. The awesome content, not cramming your brand down our throats and or some other off shoot money making flavor of the month.
So so happy for you. You and Matt are just so humble and sincere with your videos..... learned 90% of my non time on the water lessons from you guys. So happy for you with the new boat. Keep up the good work.
Tim. I live in ky and I have a 496 charger and I love it. I am pretty sure they are made about the same. Congratulations on the new boat I hope you all catch a lot of fish out of it. Anytime you all go to lake Cumberland I may see you there. I live about 45 mins away from lake Cumberland. I don’t get to fish as much as I would like with work and all but I love to go when I get time. I watch all of your all’s videos and I can learn a lot from them even know you all live so far away. Thanks Tim and Matt for all of the videos, a lot of people look up to you all because you all are awesome fisherman but don’t act like you all are better than anyone else and we appreciate that more than you all know.
Congrats Tim. I think everyone goes through the same or similar progression. I went from shore, to waders, to a float tube, small electric only tin boat to my current 18' Champion. Enjoy it and it'll take care of you for a long time.
you guys are growing faster than ever not because of us.. its because you guys are putting in the work with top notch quality, information and the ability to reach the average fisherman. Hope to see you guys grow to whatever level you want because its truly deserved.
Congratulations and kudos to you Tim. Just got back from two weeks at Clear Lake. Had some good fishing in some cold, windy conditions. Caught a 7 lb 9 oz, 7 lb. 4 oz. and 8 lb. 12 oz. All out of a 16 year old Ranger 522 I put basically all the same new goodies on over the last year. (I have Onyx's and an Ulterra). I've had the boat for 15 years and like you figured my money was better spent on this stuff than on a new boat. I think you will like the 360. I have literally seen schooling fish behind the boat, cast to them, and caught them. Would have never known they were there without the 360. The spot lock and 15 ft Talons are great. Only downside is their height makes boat control around and under docks trickier and they cut down on your casting options on the back deck. Enjoy. Looking forward to seeing the boat in videos for years to come.
Beautiful boat man! So happy for you. Everyone on RUclips likes to get upset when people buy nice things for themselves. They say things like "You're so lucky you have such a nice boat blah blah blah.I can't afford one blah blah blah" It's not luck people it's called hard work and determination.
Nothing beats a champion to me. I grew up fishing in my dad's champion and that'll be my next boat after I get out of the tin can. Congrats on the rig. I can't wait to see the videos that are going to come out of it
Thank you for finally telling me your age, I’m 28 and newly married new homeowner the whole nine. Can’t wait to purchase my first boat one day. I leave you with my favorite quote “Everything West of California is back East to me” 😂😂♥️🔥🎣🤷🏼♂️
In my opinion, absolutely the best rough water hull out there. I own the shorter version - a 2009 202 Elite (19' 8") with 225 Mercury Pro XS - and wouldn't trade it for any other brand, new or not. I think it's great that you knew and specifically looked for this particular Champion, and that you can take it out in rough conditions and know you won't be an inch shorter when you get back to the ramp. Stratos owned the hull for a while and now I understand Charger has it. I've been struggling with the idea of spending maybe $8-$10k to install power poles and upgrade the electronics.
Congrats on the new to you boat. Champions are great boats. Sounds like you started like I did 51 years ago concentrating on Bass fishing. Walking the bank of the streams and lakes on N. Ca. Oroville area. Then an inner tube instead of a float tube. Then a Chrysler tri-hull Bass Runner. Then a Bass Tracker TX 17 in '88. Then my '88 Ranger that I bought in March '89, and I still have it. Then my new boat in Jan. 2015. Have fun with that baby. In fact I'm leaving for the lake with the new boat in a matter of minutes. lol Yup, I'm retired. LOTS of fishing almost every day. :-)
Congratulations Tim! I completely agree that it's best to buy a used boat and then trick it out with components. It's going to be amazing to stay perfectly anchored anywhere anytime with the push of a button!
Happy for you, Tim. Beautiful boat and stuffed with goodies. Looking forward to video of Matt riding in the Freezer Seat in January with 3 ft swells in driving rain at 40 degrees ambient.😊
She's beautiful Tim, congratulations! Enjoy doing what you love in her. Waiting to some working videos on the accessories you added and catching some huge largies, spots & smallies.
Congratulations Tim on your new boat, it looks like it's tricked out nicely. You made some good decisions on equipment and I especially like the Ultrex trolling motor. I'm looking at one of those myself. You guys make some of the best videos and I'm looking forward to more and I know the new boat will allow you to make great vids.
My pops and I are getting the new Charger 210 Elite witch is the old Champion 210 but updated but same hull and top. Cant wait to get her, love champs. Great pick Tim, you deserve every bit of that beauty!
Congratulations. Its always nice to see a humble man get what he works so hard for. I hope it's all you expect and more. Im a champion man too. Quality and craftsmanship. Wish they had not gone out off business.
Very Inspiring Tim! I will hopefully one day be able to tell a similar story. I'm in the Raft/Float Tube stage being that I started fishing just 8-9 years ago. haha. Can't wait to see the new ride in action!! Hard Work does pay off!
Not sure how I missed this vid, but that's one slick Champ! This fellow Champ owner wouldn't mind seeing that thing running around on Sam Rayburn! I've got my 206 set up pretty similar with dual Birds at the console and Ultrex up front. Deadly combination for sure!
Awesome boat. I just bought my dream boat but it’s nothing like that. 2013 lund fury 14’ with 20hp electric start. Perfect for what I fish. Yes do another boat tour once it’s loaded. I like seeing how you organize them. Another video would be a detailed explanation of how you use the humminbirds. My helix 7 si was making a lot of clicking yesterday. What’s that from?
Congrats bro. I know that feeling of when you get your dream boat. Also went from blank fishing to Jon boat to a 1994 17' fisher and finally mine 2015 z9 pro
Congrats brother buying a nice boat is no joke a lot of people just expect food bass guys to be able to afford a 100k bass boat and that's not the case awesome set up bro
Very cool. Never seen a Champion boat. Can't believe you didn't show us the motor... That center storage in the front is huge! You should have had Matt hide in there and jump out at us! LOL
Topic suggestions; 1. Aluminum boats, include open hull transom tiller motor operated as option to cosole steering etc. Equipment choices. 2. Mid range sonar. How to set up for best experience. Explain what is seen on the screen. 3. Discuss water courtesy when fishing. How close is to close etc. 4. Fishing lifestyles. Family time and work. Obsession vs passion vs self indulgence. Keep it resonable. Enjoy sharing and satisfy by being part of an experience. I use my boat as a motorized platform to get to my spot and then cast. No more, no less. 40 hp tiller, 17' Lowe aluminum boat. My fishing experiences have been fantastic. My mindset can not reach for more boat. I could afford more but I am satisfied, my needs are met. I am sure I am not alone. I'm 64 y.o. on my 6th aluminum boat. Have been bass fishing since I was 9. None with a steering wheel, console, livewell, rod box. Never needed those things.
Congrats!! Well deserved! Could you guys do a detailed video on how to fight the fish? I always see ppl twisting and angling the rod a certain way when reeling in but I don’t know which way you’re suppose to position the rod. Thanks!
Congrats on getting a new to you boat Tim, so happy for you. You definitely deserve it after all these years. Yes you could get a new Skeeter ZX250 or Nitro Z21 for 48-55k, but you probably paid about 25k for such a nice used boat that is 10 years old and like you said you were able to trick it out with the best accessories on the market which will help you more than having a newer hull with lesser electronics. Looking forward to some awesome videos from this new to you boat.
I've left this comment a few times, so forgive me if it's getting repetitive. But I'd love a beginners guide to fish finders. I'm hoping to get one for kayak fishing this season but have no clue where to start, how to use one, etc. Thanks! Sweet boat, Tim!
Congratulations Tim, your excitement shines through 😂🎉 and I am thrilled that you chose the add on's I love MinnKota and Hummingbird. If you boys ever do make it back to Kentucky ,please let me know, my brother has a lake home on Kentucky Lake, we were just there for over a week. I was telling him about your Chanel and your trip last year to Dale Hollow and Kentucky Lake. Looking forward to your upcoming Champion videos..TightLines 🎣👍🎣😜. Will
Boats a beaut! Maybe tips on how to keep it that clean. Wipe downs, waxing, carpet care, and trailer maintenance. Especially in preparing for long trips.
Yes please do a “non-fishing equipment” boat loading video!!! I’m on my first boat (1982 Cajun fish/ski with 1984 Mercury 115) and I could use all the help I can get. Maybe what equipment should be replaced from the previous owner, and what equipment to first install on the boat. Thanks guys!
Awesome rig Tim! I am hoping to get a new (used) boat next year and I am going to do the same thing so I can afford to rig it up like I want. Great boay tour Congrats! 💪
Congrats on the new ride! I really liked how you kept mentioning how long it took for you to get to this point and the affordability (or rather how unaffordable) a lot of new boats are. I bought a new Triton in 2015 which didn't have everything I wanted but I needed the extended financing to be able to afford it. I'll probably have it until I pay it off in the next 5-7 years and I'll upgrade to a 20+ foot. I'd love to see how you guys set up your camera equipment as that is something I would really like to start doing myself. Thanks for the great content as always!
Awesome boat and we'll deserved. I have to be honest with you though. I don't like how you guys always try to justify your big spending by saying it took a long time to be able to get it. You earned it, you make your own money. Nobody gave it to you. Let the haters hate. Hard work reaps nice benefits. You guys are great at what you do and your success is representative of that. Amazing, beautiful, somewhat practical, and a tribute to your fishing buddies. Where would we be without them!👍

It sure looks better than when the cover was on it! Pretty awesome how it got there. Fishing friends are the best.
bluetooth was a nickname for a viking king check it out
Yep it a cool story!

Beyond The Bounds : so true, I know and it is a hard road.

Congratulations Tim! I completely agree that it's best to buy a used boat and then trick it out with components. It's going to be amazing to stay perfectly anchored anywhere anytime with the push of a button!
I wish you would have showed the back of your boat I would love to see your transducer placement
I’m glad you guys are growing! You are true fishermen and that’s why!
Happy for you, Tim. Beautiful boat and stuffed with goodies. Looking forward to video of Matt riding in the Freezer Seat in January with 3 ft swells in driving rain at 40 degrees ambient.😊
Congrats on the new boat Tim! Hard work pays off
You seriously have my dream boat. Right now I have a '91 Champion 201 Dual Console with an Xi5. Love it but man that boat is exactly what I want!

George

Very Inspiring Tim! I will hopefully one day be able to tell a similar story. I'm in the Raft/Float Tube stage being that I started fishing just 8-9 years ago. haha. Can't wait to see the new ride in action!! Hard Work does pay off!

Congrats on the new floater Tim, well deserved....

Hey Tim, congratulations, hard work pays off. Wish you many hours of great times and memories.
Thank you Bill!
Congratulations! It looks like a great fishing platform, and it rides like a Champion.
That boat is sick man! I would take that exact same set up over a $100,000 ranger anyday! Good looking ride tim!
Me Too! Thanks bud
Very nice ride. Looks like it was well cared for before you got it. You will get some happy seasons of fishing in with it. Congratulations.
Tim that ride is bad to the bone! Congrats man!
Not sure how I missed this vid, but that's one slick Champ! This fellow Champ owner wouldn't mind seeing that thing running around on Sam Rayburn! I've got my 206 set up pretty similar with dual Birds at the console and Ultrex up front. Deadly combination for sure!
Wow.... great boat, Tim!! Can't wait to see you in it on the water!!
Thank you!
Sweet! Hope it brings you and your family many years of good times!
That's an awesome ride congrats on the new/used boat best way to go in my book
Congrats Tim!! That’s one hell of a setup!!
Congrats.. Looks like you found a gem of a Champ
Congrats Tim. Looks like a super clean newer Champion. You pimped it out nicely.
Thank you Chris!
Congrats on the new boat! Looks awesome!
Enjoy that boat. You earned it! Please film some electronics videos when you get a chance.
Im not sure what the clicking would be besides the transducer. Thank you
Congratulations on the boat! Hope it lives up to your expectations.
That's some SERIOUS coin put into those trolling motor, graphs and talons!
Such an awesome boat Tim... looking forward to seeing you catch some GIANTS on that front deck!
Thank you! Me Too LOL
Congratulations Tim. You deserve it. Very exciting!!
Best channel on RUclips!
Congratulations awesome boat cant wait to see many years of great fishing videos
I see how excited you are man. Congrats!
Congrats bro. I know that feeling of when you get your dream boat. Also went from blank fishing to Jon boat to a 1994 17' fisher and finally mine 2015 z9 pro
Awesome boat. Very much deserved. That look on your face is familiar. A few months ago I just purchased a new Lund.
Congrats brother buying a nice boat is no joke a lot of people just expect food bass guys to be able to afford a 100k bass boat and that's not the case awesome set up bro
Thank you!
HUGEEEE DIFFERENCE!!!! the ultrex was the best upgrade to my boat.
That's insanely clean, carpet looks great. Nice rig Tim!!
Thanks Bud!
Sweet Ride Tim that set up is on point! I'd like to trick out mine with the triple threat just need to wait until my youngest is out of college.
Very cool. Never seen a Champion boat. Can't believe you didn't show us the motor... That center storage in the front is huge! You should have had Matt hide in there and jump out at us! LOL
LOL Yeah I forgot. Its got a Yamaha HPDI
Topic suggestions;
Thanks!
Congrats on the new Rig, Enjoy !!
Thanks Forrest
I've left this comment a few times, so forgive me if it's getting repetitive. But I'd love a beginners guide to fish finders. I'm hoping to get one for kayak fishing this season but have no clue where to start, how to use one, etc. Thanks! Sweet boat, Tim!
We've got it on the list!
Will
Thank you William we appreciate it bud!
Wow tim happy for you man. Have fun with your new baby.
Awesome boat!!! You guys should put together a best of GoPro footage like cool catches, funny moments and holy crap moments.
You guys make great videos and explain everything very well. Cant wait to see the how-to videos. I just started using a Ultrex and Solix.
Boats a beaut! Maybe tips on how to keep it that clean. Wipe downs, waxing, carpet care, and trailer maintenance. Especially in preparing for long trips.
Congratulations! Hard work pays off. A good message to the youngsters watching. Here’s hoping you get them 15 years out of her. I’m betting you will.
Nice man looks fresh as hell for 10 years old
Awesome rig Tim!
That is a sweet rig. Very informative video as I am shopping for a "new" boat next year.
Awesome rig Tim! Those Champs are some of the best rough water boats out there!
Thanks Benjamin!
Congrats man - nice ride! I miss my bass boat, hopefully I get another one soon
