This is the setup I use when I don’t have time and I just want to get the info to you the fastest and easiest way! I used to stress about doing this perfectly, but I always need to remind myself - posted is better than perfect! This video start to finish was done on my iPhone 14pro. Simple gear- simple editing -imperfect, but it’s posted so for me, it’s better than just wasting space in my phone’s memory or sitting on my hard drive. I want to help you get into action and I know that the first step is to get myself into action 😅❤
Jen, from one Jennifer to another I totally feel you and your vibe regarding making YT videos. It's a struggle but I have told myself "B" work is fine- just stay true to myself and my message, and make videos as if I was talking to a good friend. I made my first YT Video back in 2016 then family and persona health struggles took over, and I've recommitted in the last year. Growth on my channel has been super slow, but the comments I have been getting lately are so lovely and really spur me on. Gen Xers like us need a larger presence here. I love what you're doing. I hope your channel blows up! Maybe we can collab one day!
@@jenniferchristopherson thank you for sharing, I know what it’s like to have to shut oppressions down due to family and personal health struggles! Congratulations for making your comeback and I totally agree with B work. So happy to be on this journey with you!
Have been creating videos for sometime now, and have a channel that is around 10k subscribers. And yet could so relate to this video, because that intro is exactly how I felt/still feel, and without it, could have created atleast 4x content that I have. Also been on a break since the last year, and am now overthinking the comeback that makes the most sense, while I should just focus on actually coming back to posting.
@@shenoy_shan overthinking is my crutch too. It helps me to know that I’ve made myself the promise that I’m in this for the long haul. That means- I don’t have to be so strategic about what video I’m making next- over time I’ll end up making videos on all the topics this niche needs to hit their goals 🫶🏽
🩵🩵🩵You really made it to a point Jen just like you’re sharing your ideas like a pro yaaaay. It’s a SUCCESS that you passed that hurdle of yours. Congratulations for overcoming it❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for what you do! I'm a perfectionist too, and it hurts to start when things are not "perfect," but I started posting "bad" videos. I'll keep going. Thanks again for the inspiration!
Excellent video. And you are exactly right about those of us who were raised in the 80’s being overly focused on perfectionism. I hadn’t even considered that, but when you said it, that resonated with me.
❤new sub❤I just filmed my first 2 videos. I need to redo my intro. Don't film when you have a head cold😂. The rest was great cuz I went for a walk and got some coffee. Omg but the hook was so monotone, and you can tell I was struggling. I had a totally flushed speech, and I couldn't do it Will try the sticky notes. Cuz I know what want to say. Just sitting on my couch and talking, I looked real stiff. But the filming were I was going for a walk or cooking. It flowed much better. Thanks for all the great tips. 14:22
@@ThePynnFoolLife thanks so much for subbing! Congrats on filming your first videos! It takes practice so remember to be kind to yourself throughout the process. The key is to stick with it and you’ll be able to see your progress through the videos you post. Rooting for you 🙌🏽
I've been struggling with that extra monitor thing with my top down videos for years. Need to be sure my artwork and projects are in frame... nothing worse than watching half a painting being painted... 💔 I hope this works... Thanks💖
Thank you. I truly needed this. I have been down the rabbit hole of upgrading my tech (which works just fine as is) and every other possible excuse instead of pressing the record button after an extended hiatus from social media. Thanks for this message. Keep inspiring us!

thanks for this video! I am transitioning from a faceless channel (which, actually, has a complicated and lengthy workflow) to talking head and I have been dreading getting back into iMovie. I need these simple steps so I can simply post! thank you! ⛷️
