As much as I hated the public meltdown of Queensryche, it seems that all worked out for the best. The first song from their new album has just been released and as promised, it reflects music from the earlier days and is really good. On the other hand, Geoff is free to explore his music horizons and his voice is in beautiful form on this song. It is touching and haunting and leaves me wanting to hear more. Listening to his unique phrasing, there truly is only one Geoff Tate and he WILL be remembered as one of the premier vocalists of our genre and time, mentioned in the same breath with Steve Perry of Journey, Brad Delp of Boston, Ian Gillian of Deep Purple and David Coverdale of Whitesnake (all in their primes of course). I can't wait to listen to more.

This is my favorite song from GT's solo material... I love the percussion and guitars on this song.
