The big question for the bench is Matching (1) or Contrasting (2)? I'm going to sit on this idea for a while. I wasn't planing on it but if I upgreade the bench I will share.
DIY Creators I think the benches should match... with a single piece of aluminum going down the center of each bench... it's just more modern and a more modern aesthetic like most of the other furniture you've built, in my opinion... Toni From Detroit
(1) Matching I agree with Toni, aluminum down the longer bench(es) would look fantastic. The white gives me IKEA vibes while the table looks high end. Amazing work as always!
Dude, you're magic. From the diy skills, to the camera work, commentary, etc., always off the hook. Working on your knees, getting dirty, and creating absolutely stunning projects. Great job. A million subs coming soon!
Hi Glenn, here is Kaat all the way from Holland. I really really love your video's. You make it seem all very easy. So easy that I would love to make all the things show us. Just don't know where to start. Thank you so much for sharing your skills.
One thing that keeps me coming back to this channel is that this guy always manages to put together something that looks extremely classy with basic materials and tools.
Only criticism: ironically, all the extra screws and corner brackets will actually contribute to the cracking and splintering of the top's wood. This is since the top pieces have no room to move with changing moisture conditions, and will tend to splinter down the middle and near the screws. Another way to fasten the top to the apron is with a long groove along the inside of the apron that acts as an open mortise. You then make little "tenon biscuits" which insert into this and which screw in to the bottom of the top. This way, the top isn't screwed rigidly into anything and it has room to move within that groove. (whew long comment). Still, really impressive design & I hope it lasts.
I love the bench & table contrast. The aluminum is a nice touch also. I got to learn the clamp trick. You could make millions teaching that!! Great job
Your videos are the best on RUclips. Great content and your narrative throughout is priceless. Such clear and concise descriptions of every process. Just brilliant. Thankyou
HMMMM...I don't care what some of these people think.... this is awesome...the aluminum with the rich wood color is satisfying to my eyes! If I only owned it. BRILLIANT!
You did a great job! I especially like that you don't have tons of machines like joiners and planers and such, it makes me feel like your projects are doable even for a beginner like me and it shows that you don't need all that stuff to make something awesome.
The construction methods aren't all that great but I really like his designs and how he uses simple materials. The quality of the videos is great too. Nice looking table!
I really like the contrasting colors. I think it gives it a nice clean look and with the white chairs you can see them better at night so you don't accidentally kick them. Very nice project. Jeff from Los Angeles.
As far as the benches contrasting, have you thought about making the seats basically as an inverse image of the table? For example paint the benches a silver color and have stripes stained wood that matches the table wood?
I like the contrast of the white benches. Maybe add a dark stripe on the bench seats to match the silver stripe in the table top. The table looks really nice. Your designs of the thick lines really works in this project.
"Whipped up some quick and easy...." Immediately shows benches with elegant simplicity but clear design... that i'd be proud of as a project in itself. Well done sir!
The bands of aluminum take an otherwise very simple table and make it fantastic! If you do benches, I'd suggest the same finish as the table, with a single band of aluminum running lengthwise across the middle of the bench, to really tie the whole set together.
Beautiful finish on a gorgeous table! I love all your designs and color choices. I love the contrasting seating, which can be used as occasional tables or perimeter seating for Patio Parties and get togethers. The table makes a bold statement with the aluminum accents!
Stunning table !!! Would want the seating to match just my preference . I’m sending this to my husband to watch as I would love this out on our patio , he is building an outdoor kitchen right now and this table would be perfect !!! Beautifully designed and I like all your precautions you take on your projects !!!
Beatiful looking table. Set the aluminum at 90 degrees in the benches - you've got the pattern right there - and that's a very handsome dining set. Very handsome. And if it does warp, that's an opportunity to try something different next time round.
I like the fact you using the jigsaw since some people like me do t have a table saw...so gives me a better idea of doing this . Thank you so much and great work . beautiful items you make
Great project, it looks really sturdy with all the brackets! I think matching the benches to the table would look great. Continuing an aluminum strip in each bench could really tie it all together too.
This looks awesome! I personally like the contrasting colors but its ultimately up to you since you are the one that is constantly gonna use it. Great job.
Amazing quality work Glenn I feel you on the Florida heat and humidity horrible down near the beaches in Naples/Collier county enjoy the videos and look forward to more!
@@DIYCreators Did you ever turn these into a plan? I cant seem to find this on your plan website and would love to try and build for this for my deck. Would love to support you in purchasing them like the others. I'm loving your builds, especially the wall mounted entertainment center,.
The table looks really great. Gonna build it in the near future (hopefully), just like some other of your projects. I really love and appreciate how you explain everything and explain why you're doing certain things (like starting in the middle when putting on the protecting coat). Small things that really help, especially beginners like me. Really learning a lot from you which I hopefully can put to good use soon. Keep up the great work.
I think the bench seating should match the table. You have enough contrast between the top of the table and the legs. It will add a complete look if the chairs matched.
That table turned out beautifully, I can't make a decision on the seating without seeing it done the same as the table, I think it would be pretty sweet though! Keep up the good work.
That table looks incredible!!! I love the simple seating but not in white. Maybe incorporate the aluminium into the seating. Black seating with aluminium strips? Keep up the GREAT videos. You really inspire me to build! Thank you...

I'm going to agree with Toni as well. Great looking table
Match it. Nice job. Looks great.
DIY Creators personally I would like to see the seating match the table apron color, but that's just me

The white seats look great as they are. Puts the focus on the beautiful table.
It is so soothing to watch your videos. Your work is very professional, clean, and crisp.
I accidentally found your videos but am binge watching now. It's hard to stop watching. Thanks. Lol.
Man, you're going to have to teach me that trick for applying clamps. Table looks awesome bro!
Whats up my dude! It takes a little practice but I got you. Let me know when you ready! Thanks, man!
Like the contrast gives it a modern look that is reflected by the use of the metal in the natural woods - nice job!
Out of all the DIY channels your flair is top notch

LOVE the table. I usually don't like such a contrast (seating and table) but in the dark it makes it look even more modern.
I like the contrast. It matches well with the "slightly modern slightly rustic" feel your table is giving off.
Love it the way it is shown in the video. Fabulous and simplistic design. Don’t need a bunch of specialty tools to make.
I love the look with the white. I think the aluminum serves as an awesome accent to the contrast
HMMMM...I don't care what some of these people think.... this is awesome...the aluminum with the rich wood color is satisfying to my eyes! If I only owned it. BRILLIANT!
That thing is stunning, and solidly built, love it
The table and contrasting colours look awesome. Nice work

It’s beautiful 😍 and I love the contrast of the dark table and light seats. It’s modern yet elegant. So nice 👍
Thank you.
I love how you right get into your work. Standing on the table as you drill in screws - awesome. Keep making videos - please please please
I absolutely love this project. I plan on building a big outdoor table for my patio as well. When I finish I'll shoot ya some pics. Great work again!
The construction methods aren't all that great but I really like his designs and how he uses simple materials. The quality of the videos is great too. Nice looking table!
You have inspired me to challenge myself to build and beautify our home. Keep the videos coming .
Love the design. A lot easier than a huge old fashioned pinic table. Love your videos, always including comedy is cool
love the contrast. its way more appealing
Glenn you made that yellow pine look amazing.
Definitely a matching set of benches, look how nice the grain has come out on the tabletop. 👍
That looks awesome. Love the contrast with the white benches. Good job man.
I really like the contrasting colors. I think it gives it a nice clean look and with the white chairs you can see them better at night so you don't accidentally kick them. Very nice project. Jeff from Los Angeles.

Love the table , the contrast is the way I would go.
i love the contrast of the benches and table.
Thank you
best diy channel that i know. respect you man! enjoying your videos
“I have plans to make plans...” love that line! Just paint the bench seat black, keeps the focus on the awesome table top.
I like the contrast of the white benches. Maybe add a dark stripe on the bench seats to match the silver stripe in the table top. The table looks really nice. Your designs of the thick lines really works in this project.
"Whipped up some quick and easy...."
Immediately shows benches with elegant simplicity but clear design... that i'd be proud of as a project in itself. Well done sir!
Wow...!!! wonderful work...good contrast...warm & cold materials ... congrats... regards from Guayaquil, Ecuador S.A.
That espresso stain looks great. Nice build!

Definitely a contrasting piece.
Im learning big thing's via your videos. Keep up the excellent work man.

Beautiful outdoor table, love the expresso and aluminum look, my vote is matching seats but either look good.
Excellent table, and the benches are cool! Great contrast! The table would look great in a rustic look dining room as well. Thanks!
The contrast looks great
I like the fact you using the jigsaw since some people like me do t have a table saw...so gives me a better idea of doing this . Thank you so much and great work . beautiful items you make
I like the contrast. Great build.
Very nice. This is a really solid table. I need to build one for my deck that can survive the New England Winters. Thanks for posting this video.
Great looking table that would add class to most any outdoor area. Thank you for sharing your plan and the construction details.
Love the table! I think the white stools look good. But only in a mostly white room. For outside you can do whatever you like. It'll all look good.
Love it. I think the seating with the same aluminum strip and stain would look fantastic!
BEAUTIFUL TABLE! You did a great job!
Great project, it looks really sturdy with all the brackets! I think matching the benches to the table would look great. Continuing an aluminum strip in each bench could really tie it all together too.

I like the white benches, cool contrast and everything still matches!! 👌🏼
Yep, that's my feeling.

Amazing job! I personally love the contrast! The benches match beautifully! Hope you choose to keep them! 👍👍👍
Absolutely love the table. I'd love the seats and benches in the same colour (I'm from the UK) as your table. Simply beautiful.
Thank you
Thank you so much for sharing mate. A really sturdy and simple design that even I can have a go at.
That's one wicked design man.
The best table in the world man
I really like the way the table looks. I would go with a matching color for the bench. Great looking project.
Thank you
The table looks really great. Gonna build it in the near future (hopefully), just like some other of your projects. My wife and I love it very nice job
A beautiful job, man... beautiful job!
Man, I love your videos. Great job, dude.
Hi , When we love to cook, we are demanding and perfectionist, so we can only do good and beautiful diy! In both cases, it's art! 😜👍🏽
That table looks incredible!!!
I love the simple seating but not in white. Maybe incorporate the aluminium into the seating. Black seating with aluminium strips? Keep up the GREAT videos. You really inspire me to build! Thank you...
Great work, man. I've been watching your videos for a while now, and you're becoming my favorite DIY channel. Keep it up!
