- Laurence’s wife, Julia, was diagnosed with anaplastic astrocytoma in 2015. Their love story brought Laurence across the Atlantic Ocean to be with Julia, and he managed her care with strength and devotion for eight years until her passing in November 2023.
In his grief, Laurence became a passionate advocate with the National Brain Tumor Society to give people living with brain tumors a better chance - a better chance at survival, a better chance at improved quality of life, and a better chance at finding community.
