Woohoo. A vario van build. Uber cool. I am hoping to get one in near future. Are you able what exactly you checked for with the chasis. Also what is the mileage and would you be able share of pm me ballpark figures how much you paid or what was your budget. At moment converted goes from £8000-£40k. Thank you. Will definitely follow your build religiously
Hey there. So we’ve learnt a lot since this first video - which you may see in our other videos. However what would I look for now: - rust on the sills - rust around the windscreen and under it (check from within the cab) - rusty doors Essentially rust. It’ll cost you long term. They all have it to some extent but the more you know, the more you can be informed. We paid 4k for it. You can find them cheaper. You can find them dearer. Biggest piece of advice, look at as many as you can. Then take the rust into equation above. Ours has done over 300,000km. But had a good service history. This is key on these. Let us know how your hunt goes. Thanks very much for watching.
Great first video guys! We cannot wait to follow along and see all of your progress - it was so lovely to see Lily’s reaction to the bus, she’s gonna love it! Go Team Vario!!
Thanks 😊. That’s very nice of you to say. We are looking to capture as much as we can, but it’s tricky at times. We’ve got a few more vids in the pipeline too. Stay safe
@@WanderbusAdventures Looks to be the same size as yours, but we don't have the back doors. I'll probably be posting pics on my Instagram if you'd like to follow along: instagram.com/mcjoe_16/ There seems to be quite a community in the UK around Vario conversions!
Congrats on your purchase. I can't wait to see what you guys do with this. My wife and I do a lot of traveling out of our mirco camper it's a Honda Element a 100sq.ft camper for 2 people 🙏
@@WanderbusAdventures we wish we had more space but we make it work. It's so expensive out here in California rent will run you over $2000 for a small studio.
Hi just come over to check your channel out from your comment. I have another follower with a Vario and I said the same to him... my favorite camper base by far but I was always on the look out for one that was a panel van and not all the windows and one that I didn't have to replace every single piece of metal 😀. Anyway will have a look through. Good luck guys 👍just subbed
Haha. If you ever found one that didn’t need all the metal replacing, is it even a Vario? We got drawn in by the window and do love them; but they all do leak and are being a royal pain right now - so can totally agree with your viewpoint :-). Thanks so much for subscribing. Loving your videos too 🚐🚐🚐
Thanks for watching all. This is our first video - and we have 70+ more that we think do get a bit better. We post every week too with updates from the weekend before. Please subscribe to support and follow our van conversion 🎥 ruclips.net/user/WanderbusAdventures 🎥 Thanks again. 🚐🚐🚐
Hey Joe. It was £4000. The busses seem to be a bit cheaper at the moment though. Have seen a couple go for 3-3500 recently. Like most things though it’s best to shop around and find one with less rust - we find some interesting stuff as we move on with the build.

@@WanderbusAdventures thank so much for being generous with the information. Most converted varios are 13-15k. Nice vans are still in demand
Absolutely. They do vary quite a lot depending on spec and condition.
Heyy!! Fab first video, loved seeing Lily’s reaction and helping out on day one! So exciting for all of you! Can’t wait to see more xxxx
Thanks guys. She’s super excited about it. Thanks for watching, hope the next part of your build goes well.
