I love how this excellent run, in which every battle is carefully and precisely optimized to be completed in as few action commands as possible, culminates in mercilessly and thoroughly stubbing Bonetail's toe. Great run, Koop!
My goodness it was incredibly satisfying seeing how quick and clean this entire run is, especially Bonetail! Absolutely incredible strategy and planning
Man, even at this low level, Bonetail gives only the obligatory 1 Star Point. (Also, Bonetail didn't heal for some reason?) i wonder just what new experiences the remake could offer to players like this who've practically mastered the game.... Anyway, fun run video! Thanks for uploading!
Amazing run! Not just great strategizing, but incredible polish and execution. If this were a speedrun category, this would have to be a world record, right? Fast menuing, skipped chests, no gratuitous action commands - just crazy discipline
Excellent run! Extremely precise. Even Mowz got a moment to shine. I'm curious, was there any particular reason you equipped Damage Dodge P for a short period?
Stampede and Bob-ombast can cause the wall to crash down, dealing 2 damage to partner with P-Up D-Down P equipped, 1 damage with a guard, and 0 damage with a guard and Damage Dodge P equipped. Neither move is needed until the 50s, which by then I'll have leveled up enough times to be able to equip Damage Dodge P. Mario's basic moves (jump/hammer), which are used plenty of times even before the 50s, can also cause 1-damage stage mishaps (wall, bucket, etc), but Koops' natural defense takes care of them without needing Damage Dodge P as long as he guards. Koops is the only required partner for the first 50 floors.
someday, i think i'll attempt a damage less run of the whole game (as in 100% playthrough). for this, although i'd allow for partners to take damage, i'd make something else for that to happen then supergard nonstop. as soon as possible, i'd go get the lucky day badge from the happy lucky lottery. i know a way to get every reward in a garantied way. also, i'd boost bp for priority with fp affterward. i'd collect and activate as many close call and pretty lucky badge as possible. defense plus bedge would be 2nd priority to make it so that even if mario do get hit some attacks would still make no damage. spike shield and zap tap badge would also be used to be immune to fuzziy's and swooper's attack and to avoid damaging myself as well. i would also lower mario's max hp to 5 so that he'd be in danger no matter what, so that all the close calls would be activated nonstop. power rush badges and power plus badges would also be used. the faster an ennemy is killed, the tinier the number of attacks to avoid would be. add the that a power lift use here and there, so the defense is boosted even more and maybe also a p-down, d-up and the more time pass in mario's journey, the herder it would be to get damaged ms. mowz would finaly get some use this way as wenever i face an ennemy with a badge, ms. mowz will steal it for my own use. this will give me a lot of pretty lucky and close calls, among other badges. ruclips.net/video/jFJGSiwUSA8/видео.html supermariofiles.wordpress.com/2017/09/10/ttyd-evasion/

Ah, the pit. Always celebrated for its damagelessness.

Jesus Christ I was expecting super guard shenanigans, not pure raw skill
Hats off to you
Hey Koop, just wanted to say I love your content. Thanks for making it
Glad you enjoy it!

This is pure insanity
Alas, the master's back at his work.
Alas: An expression of sadness or disappointment, especially when there is no hope that a situation will change
🤔
I get the sentiment, but I think you mean something like "Hear hear!" o3o
yes lmao I just wanted to be dramatic

Probably, as long as "Danger Mario" is put in a separate category.
22:00 ctfu at the way this bandit was edging your first strike
Hope everyone’s excited for the remake 😁

@@Koopatrol Ahh, of course. I forgot about stage hazards. Thanks!
Koop, is it safe to say you’re the first to do this?! 🤣
Truly a master at work. Was this a specific seed or did you just get really lucky with the number and placement of Movers?
Nothing "lucky" about Movers in this particular challenge run. They just save time and rob you of EXP.
All those failed action commands hurt me :(
I know! They hurt me too.
Great run!
But it makes me sad that you didn't got the medal in the end.

Question:What you use to record?
AverMedia something something
Hey Koop are you going to play the remake when it comes out
holy fuck stampede is broken
I wonder if they are gonna make any balance changes for the remaster/remake/whatever? Tone down Danger Mario? Improve some of the partners?
Can't wait for the remake, huh.
@@Koopatrol It looks pretty good, yeah. Curious that it's 30fps and not 60, though, at least from the trailers
You might aswell just speedrun the pit at this point...
Hey idk if you still know how but how do I install paper Mario ttyd64
Wow, that was a lot of Movers!
Did you do any RNG manipulation, or just kept doing runs until you got a good amount of them?
Skipping floors makes the run more difficult due to the EXP I miss out on, lol. But I skipped them anyway to save time.
What makes you think having fewer Movers would have made it more difficult... lol 🤦
