It’s impossible to beat Dimitrius Underwood as biggest Viking bust. He’s a first round pick (about same spot as Cine) and WALKED out and was cut a week later. Let’s not have recency bias
Underwood came to the first practice, called the bank to make sure the money was deposited in his account, and walked out. It is indeed tough to top that.

But I think Richter can have a career like B-Rob at his ceiling. 10 solid years of being a menace, relentless motor, high energy, reliable solid production. That would be great. 2025 on is the Vikings time with McCarthy. He was my #1 Player in the draft since October 2023. People still have no idea how elite this kid & what he's going to do in the NFL.

@@Lipripper1047 He might on a team like the Jets that need a guy to get to the QB on 3rd down. But he might get released there as well if he's lost, undisciplined & a liability on the field. We as fans see flash plays but coaches jobs are to see everything & they have the resources to do so. It sounds like the league thinks he's not ready to be on an NFL field. So we'll see.

That Cine got cut is not really a surprise. I feel a little bit bad for the kid and hope for him that he is picked up by team where he can become a starter.
And this season is not about the wins. It is about getting the team right in KOCs third year and be even stronger next year with a healthy JJ McCarthy.

Our scouts are so good we have nobody from the first 3 rounds in 2022 or 2023 except for Jordan Addison who will be suspended if not hurt again.

Cine is such a great young man and i still think he has a chance to be a productive player in this league. Not for nothing I'm rooting for him, injuries and just a slew of bad luck didn't help. But i also think he just didn't fit the Vikings scheme, new environment might do him some good. He was obviously starting to come alive, but the NFL is unforgiving and honestly he did get the benefit of doubt. Koc held on for as long as he could. Good luck LC

hmm, Cine is not the biggest 1st round bust. Please go back and look over the years, the Vikes have done far worse. Also consider Cine was towards the end of round 1. Troy Williamson really stung because he was so high in the first.
There is a very long list of first round bust for this team. What sets Cine apart from except underwood is the fact he never even got on the field.

We should claim Caleb Farley, Trey Lance, Alex Leatherwood and Kadarius Toney. All players who were waived and were taken ahead of Christian Darrisaw in the 2021 draft. I guess we are not the only ones who fail in the draft.

Idk why kene for sure got cut, but he got absolutely wrecked a couple times during pass pro in game 1. probably have to be able to pass protect in this offense. probably can find another RB on the PS from anywhere. Considering their market is so incredibly low.

With Gabriel Murphy on I.R. the Vikes have 3 UDFA’s to make the team. This could mean they’re not very deep on talent or are very good at finding gems in the rough. I think it’s the latter especially after the Signing of Ivan Pace Jr. last year.

His first draft was a throwaway basically. By the time he was hired and got KOC hired, they didn't have a lot of prep time for the draft. Sure, Cine and Booth were busts, but both guys were projected as 1st to early 2nd Rd guys. Its not like he took projected UDFAS and drafted them that high. Every other draft as been pretty solid for the picks he had. And he's hit on some UDFAs too help. No GM is 100% with drafts.

Brian Asamoah, Lewis Cine, and Akayleb Evans all trying to be traded by the Vikings and getting no offers. Most likely they will be gone after they fill RB and CB needs. Andrew Booth, Jr. already traded for a sandwich. Everyone loves Kevin O'Connell, but it's been a rough start for Kwesi Adofo-Mensah. However, he seems to be drafting better each year and Kwesi has a knack for fixing his mistakes and not compounding them (see all the 2022 draft picks they are moving on from). The future looks bright; even with only 3 draft picks, the Vikings have a ton of cap space and I have no doubt they will figure out how to fix the DL, CB, and RB positions by the start of 2025.

I am glad Nudie and Levi made it. I think they are going to end up starting or going to give us big contributing minutes. It might sound crazy, but he isn't retired. Bring AP back for 3rd string RB. He will be super cheap, hungry, and a mentor in the RB room.

the scouts he listened to for that draft were all Zimmer's scouts. He had no time to hire his own as the Wilfs took too long to hire KOC and Kwesi. I don't fault him for that, it was entirely on ownership that screwed the pooch in 2022
