  • WHAT IS HIS TEDx TALK ABOUT?
Jack Nasher is convinced that you don’t get what you deserve, you get what you negotiate. Good negotiators, however, are not born, they are made. Jack argues that the "inner game” of the world’s leading negotiators is what makes the difference. And this inner game is the subject of Jack's talk.
    WHO IS JACK NASHER?
Jack Nasher is a bestselling author, advisor and academic. He studied and taught at Oxford University and is currently a professor at Munich Business School. Jack founded the NASHER Negotiation Institute that trains and advises exclusively on the topic of negotiation. His books were on Germany’s national bestseller list for months and were published in Russia, Korea, China etc. Articles by and about him have appeared in the Harvard Business Review, the Huffington Post and Handelsblatt. An avid mentalist, he frequently shows his mind mysteries at the World Famous Magic Castle in Hollywood/California. Jack Nasher is a bestselling author, advisor and academic. I love this. In the current situation i face, i actually asked myself the worst thing that can happen to me, "to be asked to pack" from where i reside.
Then, I have made mental preparations to face it however it comes. Till, the worst isnt happening yet and would not happen I pray. But thinking it helped me relax

Negotioation is not about just knowing that no one has absolute power, that would be when you aspire to be a monk. When you are indeed negotiating, do work from aposition of power, beacuse you are powerful but never make it a question of ego or a question of impossibility or an ultimatum. It shoudl be about making the other party relent happily, yes HAPPILY! This is not easy ofcourse, but then one relents when they like you already AND you work torwards making them like you even more, yes from a poistiopn of power. Remember a good negotiater is always ready to let it go if it doesnt occur, active detachment, if you . people can achive actibe detachment from havong more options and opportiunities that they can attempt !

the perception of power it's relative to any society, to any country differs from one human being to other so the power factor will be always a signal of fear for the weak of the relationship even talk about being positive, optimist and etc = bias perceptions! be careful!

The rich kid has more power because they have more resources; the poor kid has less power because they have none. It's not just a matter of perception

The Power lays in the perceipton of the need to fufill something. If the poor kid has erything he needs to survive then the degree is only for self fufillment. If he doesn't care about the degree but the rich kid does because he doesn't wanna seem as a spoiled rich kid then the poor kid has more Power than the rich Student.
But in reality we all have these needs and rich people with alternatives and optiones do have more Power in general. But If you would change your view on your needs you would shift the Power. So it comes down to perception.

The professor doesn't know that. Professor doesn't know that the poor kid got no alternatives.

TLDR; don't disclose info unnecessarily, especially when it weakens you.

In Germany Nasher's known as conman and "lying pope"

To be honest, there is basically only one single person who was campaigning against him. Apparently it hasn't been very successful as he is still a Professor, Speaker, etc. and had courts rule in his favour. Even if you don't like him, I don't see, how is "known" as that in Germany.

No he is not. Only one journalist woman (who likes to see herself as tough investigator) said JN can not call himself a psychologist, he proved he had a degree in psychology and the highest court said she was wrong. case closed- now she has to pay and is losing sponsors, since she does not come across as very trustworthy since during the case they even found evidence where she was lying in the past
