I just discovered your tutorial, wonderful! You are one of the very few mica powder artists that recommend wearing a mask. This stuff can fly everywhere and we want to be safe.
Embarrassed to say have had 2 boxes of the Surface FX sitting in my cupboard unopened for a few years. So glad I found your video - thank you for sharing
Teresa, thank you so much for this video! I'm totally new to polymer clay (haven't even started yet), and just discovered your channel. I love the techniques you showed us here--thanks!
My husband is sitting next to me while I watch your video, he says 'that's Salgado'. lol. There aren't many artists that he recognizes by voice! We both loved the video. I want to make my own bails for Kumihimo and this technique is perfect for the surface of the bails. Muchas gracias!
I love that you mentioned using the water as a release. I work with clay a lot and use water and whenever I watch videos on polymer clay they use these fancy releases or powder that makes a mess and it baffled me, lol! Awesome video and thank you for your tips 😊
With the tape: u could stick another pc of tape to it (sticky sides together), cut it to size and embed in resin or liquid sculpey. U could stick that pc of tape to paper and use it for embedding. U could apply it to dominoes and gloss over it for altered dominoes or even pre shaped baked clay. Or on top of boxes and frames or plaques then gloss over it. When the tape is embedded or glossed over it virtually dissapears so all u see is the design as long as u can get it smooth with no bubbles or crinkles. So many ideas!
AH!!! Love your demos, but seeing that chess board made me happy --- just bought a used one to craft with the pieces, didnt even think about having a great clay surface as well. Question: do you need to try and remove air from around the layered cabochon?
Thank you, I love your video, especially clay and tape remark, and I'm new to using poly and powders, An I need all the advice, I am a young 56 artist living my dream, lol! And watching this est AM..
Thank you for the awesome tutorial. I am in the beginning of it and i was wondering what is the name or the material of the mat you are using and if you won’t mind sharing. Thank you kindly in advance.
Hello Pandora!! Another great video, please keep them coming i watch them over many times and keep learning more each time. In this I learned that you can actually bake polymer clay for an hour and it will come out ok. Do you have a dedicated poly oven? Also, will you be doing more caning or even skeining videos? Thanks for your love for us wannabe poly artists ;-) Hugs!
I got a used pasta machine and it doesn't have any numbers on the settings at all. It's imperia brand made in Italy. I was wondering which setting is the thickest. Mine has 8. It's an older one, thankfully, and very well made.
Good morning TPS. I really want to know how you baked the round that you put onto the light bulb and at what temperature? Is it safe to put that light bulb in the oven without it shattering?
Hi dear! Actually, take some black clay and put the tape on it. The powder will transfer to the clay. The effects are awesome, not to mention cost effective! Lol
for the powders, pearl effects claim to have an ingredient that makes it bond with clay. can you say that of all metallic powders? does it really make a difference? i want pearl effects, but need to find something a little less expensive seeing how there's so many colors to collect.
I did that with my son who is getting into polymer clay and he said you can't d that and I said I just did so what do you think ..email said looks pretty cool mom and I said now you do the rest

Thank you, I love that stacking method. I haven't taken any courses, so everything I learn is on these tutorials. I appreciate you sharing. :)

No hay de que.
Yes, you are clever! I haven't seen these techniques before and can't wait to try them! Thank you for sharing them.
THE LIGHTBULB IS AWESOMELY CLEVER!
Thanks for your advice of using mask while using mica powder.
Beautiful work.
Many blessings.👏👏👏💐

I really love all your tutorials, and I can’t wait for my order from tiny Pandora to arrive.
Loved this, great idea with the packing tape and I also totally agree with you when it comes to using water as a release agent.
Thank you for the clear instructions. The pieces are beautiful!
Just found your videos, so creative and funny. Thank you!
Elaine Lundblade thanks so much. I have over 90 vids. I hope you enjoy them.

thank you, this is just what I needed!
Wonderful and great Idea! I love it!!! Great only! Thx! Best wishes!
I’m sorry if I missed it... but what did you finally create with these 2 pieces? I’d love to see finished product.
I use cornstarch as a release, and it seems to work too. I'll try water though!

Thank you for this video
Babita Gupta you are welcome😀
Thank you 😊 💓 awsome as usual
I LOVE the first stamp you use, where did you get it?
Teresa, have you tried placing the clear tape with the design you pulled off in liquid clay?
Awesome information.
Good morning TPS. I really want to know how you baked the round that you put onto the light bulb and at what temperature? Is it safe to put that light bulb in the oven without it shattering?
michaelpinreno hi. 275 for 30 min. It doesn’t hurt the bulb.
@@TeresaPandoraSalgado Thank you for the quick response.
wow, so creative! Thank you!!!
Neither the powders nor the stamps are available on CF's website.
The tape would be pretty to place on card stock, trim it and use as a gift tag
Hi dear! Actually, take some black clay and put the tape on it. The powder will transfer to the clay. The effects are awesome, not to mention cost effective! Lol
Tamara Crum thank you!
so can the light bulb handle the heat while it is being cured?
AnnMarie Hammond yep!
Did you bake it with the bulb? Thanks
Anton Pamintuan yes. The bulb won’t be damaged.
Wow thank you so much!! Just a beginner here so still practicing the craft.. ;)

oh, and why do they used embossing powders mixed into clay sometimes? sorry, newbie here
Beautiful video thanks
Eileen Schuller my pleasure.
I would use the tape under cabochons in jewellery.
When is the next segment?
Thank you so much.
bonjour merci pour cette vidéo c trop beau
I had no idea you could cook a lightbulb LOL
I use mine for card making all I do is stick to some folder plastic sleeves as they can be peeled off when needed🙃
You are clever
U n Susan from turtle soup are my favorite artists
How do you burn it with the light bulb? The light bulb does not break?
Nope! 275 is not that hot :-)
Karen Jones Glass melts at a far higher temp than it takes to bake polymer clay in the oven
I did that with my son who is getting into polymer clay and he said you can't d that and I said I just did so what do you think ..email said looks pretty cool mom and I said now you do the rest
"I swore like a sailor " ) lol I am dying.
Put tour tape on black clay, maybe
I made bookmark with my tape that I peel off
Come on you should never use water with polymer clay.
Fatih Demirci Polymer clad is just plastic. Water won't hurt it.
yes it does. it does hurt super sculpey
What did it do?
It sort of dissolved the clay. Its a good thing to know that its a bad idea to use water with at least super sculpey (not sure about the other brands)
Well thanks. I had never seen that! 👍
You can use the tape with the design on cabochons and resin
