- In this video, GR mixes his DIY shellac ink with a silver OTR Calligraffiti marker. He also tests it for stability. This marker features a special tip for calligraphy but is also great for tags. The shape lends itself to a nice chisel and flow. Good stuff!

Man these videos make my day I'm so happy that I came across art primo as a store but also as entertainment and advice.
Safety note: when mixing potassium permanganate with dot 3/4 brake fluid, only add a small amount of powder each over time and mix it in a glass bottle as it will get hot when you shake your mix, same goes for wd40 or anything that has non medical iodine in it
What solvents will it go into? I can't get it to mix with any of the inks I have, some it makes thick from a bad reaction

Calligraffiti marker is sick af but even better if you got sick handstyles. The silver and purp got me filling up a press n go with silver dr guts and Garvey. I been watching for so long I now realized GR is lefty haha. Update: The mix is a metallic purp.

Yeah, other than JUST being a fun color I love magenta/fluorescent pink just cause it bleeds through solvent AND water based paints like crazy, stains hard, and always ghosts like crazy on porous surfaces. That wonderful rhodamine B in there dissolves in water AND solvent but is also VERY strong. I tend to add a good squeeze of some Tim Holtz Gumball to any kinda paint refill I make up that won't separate or clot from the alcohol, for that very reason (and just cause I love the color tbh)

big ups from LA, been watching your reviews for 9+ years now. just got my soultip, magic ink, sakuras, and cold sweat marker in the mail. sadly couldn’t get the neon green i wanted but got a pastel blue soultip instead. was compensated with a GR sticker….not mad at all. let me get a hit off in the next video my g!

this was a badass experiment man and that colour is real nice
on the subject of potassium permanganate, I use that shit at work to inject into the ground to clean up solvents and oil from old factories and it's a real bad oxidiser that'll eat away at clothes and leather if not cleaned/neutralised. hydrogen peroxide, white vinegar and water 3 parts each will turn it clear and stop it from eating away at ur clothes, u can use iron off or whatever that rust remover is called to neutralise it but it stains brown.
it is a really nice purple colour tho ngl

AP magenta streamers also wash off in water. Used some in Oki on the side walk and went from pink to white in a few rains.

He's right about the magenta streaker bleeding. I made a split with neon green and the magenta died the neon green into a maroon after a day.
When it comes to how to handle cops if you get caught, just shut up and tell them you won't speak without a lawyer. There's a reason they say "Anything you say CAN AND WILL be used against you in a court of law". Much love as always GR!

Went out today with my Grog mini and my OTR 060. To my surprise the OTR took the wear better. I had to change the sponge on the Grog, which sucks because I love my Grog. But at least now I know how to fix it when it breaks. 🤷🏽♂️

Unsolicited tip for making pen ink Garvey flow better through nibs. When you're done the initial creation, pour the mixture through a number of coffee filters as many times as you can before losing interest. This will help with flow

Walmart has water based Spanish paint now 😯🧐 I've never seen it before, it's called Pinty Plus Evolution, I tried a can of the black and it was actually pretty good. On the downside it's pretty expensive, and it has a thick (4mm) male stem.
Etch bath fire extinguisher tags would be a dope tutorial 🙏
You would need a plastic body extingo cuz the etch eats metal and it would pop on you. Be safe

But yeah etch batch eats metal, even the ones made for glass, so it's not practically or necessary. I've never seen a window that big. A garden sprayer full of etch could be interesting tho & they're plastic bodies. Just my 2 cents
