Doing wire wheeling in my garage for machinery restoration...I have seen how much the dust from that goes everywhere. Good luck keeping all the rust etc out of the bins of bio balls and the tanks. One thing that I have found can help, if you have those 20" box fans, set them on high with 2" thick hepa filters on the back side to pull the air through, that helps a LOT with the tiny airborne dust. The 2" filters are better as it gets more surface area and thus more air flow for it to catch the dust.
Brock, glad you mentioned the color...took a minute to realize it wasnt a liner on this end. Maybe time of day but thats crazy difference. Exciting things!
You can fix that crack with the acrylic glue make the seam/crack level and smooth and then you just sit there and drip the stuff into the crack and it literally sucks it in makes the chemical reaction and will be just as strong as before and surprisingly you'll prolly barely be able to see the crack was ever there
That looks very beautiful lots and lots of more space compared to what it look like whenever you guys first move to tanks in and don't worry about the mess in the videos us viewers like watching stuff like that and behind the scenes, can't wait to see the videos on the other ones that are set up coming along so smoothly.
I give yall props. I was in the hobby for 5-7 years and I just couldn’t do it anymore. So much work. Beautiful fish. I had a 2 flowerhorns (kamfamalau and super red dragon), 3 Oscar’s, and a silver arowana that coexisted with an angel fish and discus haha
Well done and thank you for all the updates! Keep up the great work, I don't think viewers realise how big everything is. Make my sumped 8x4x4 look like a baby! Happy new Year Guys!
Thanks for taking time out making the video it’s great to see how much difficult and hard work yous all do and a very interesting video , great to see reaper, Jerry Josh and all the helpers once again pulling together to get OFR looking great nice one big rich🎉🎉🎉
The piece of mind that the new tanks will bring will make it all worth it. Great job. Keep up the good work. Look forward to seeing these tanks up and running. Gonna be some happy fishies! 👍✌️
Wow, how different it already makes the place look. I'm not complaining about the old sump's look, it did it's job, but new sump simply looks like a levelled up sump.
Good morning Bigrich. Wow that was alot of work. Great bunch of guys to show and help. Good job all. Thank uou for sharing with us. Hope you had a restful night. Play safe have fun. 😊😊😊
If that sump is acrylic, and the pieces go back together smooth, cant you just also use the same acrylic glue/cement/etc that you can make an acrylic tank with to glue it back together? Granted, having another piece across it should make it stronger, but if the pieces are touching I think the same glue I have seen people use to make tanks on youtube should help with that, or am I wrong?
Lol, i know i asked why that doesn't bother him. Lol . And even worse, why are there 10 white bio balls at the bottom of the sump when the rest are black :)
Never long enough Big Rich, I know it is a lot of work at your end of cyberspace, but " Work fascinates me, I can sit and watch it for hours 😁" I think of the planing meetings of order of layout and the arguments you and Josh had in which way the tanks would be inserted into the area firstly for painting etc then how to place the moves for final locations and including the original tanks and sump as well, you can't tell me you 2 didn't disagree at least once? Would it be possible to put a camera on time lapse when you are working and put the video out so we can see how it evolves as you are going about it, less work, apart from the occasional camera relocation, but for those of us interested we can keep up please? May your energy, backs, and ideas hang in their relatively less work ahead to go than behind you , Tony from Rural Western Australia 🇦🇺🦘
I always thought that the plastic pool looked cheap and out of place. I know that you have to do what you need to do but good riddance. Its one hell of an upgrade.
Yes, especially when they put fish in it. Looked like one of those young fishtubers that put a pool in their Mamas' basement, throw in a Redtail catfish and think they have a big channel.
Thank you OFR and fam!!!! Seeing the new tanks and sump get me excited, didnt expect all those bio balls to add as well!!! Lol I DO think your filtration is sexy guys 😁😘 Always building and creating epic environments for the loves, Thank you!!! 💙🩵💚💌🥳
Near the end of the video - are community service helpers more of a liability than an asset? This is the second time recently I noticed people just lazing around against your tanks 17:00 while scrolling on their phones. At least these weren't leaning on acrylic or glass panels this time. Good progress. SFMF.
Good morning y'all. I also wanted to say the time of day you post is important too. So many try different times to see what gets more views. Love y'all ❤️
Already my 2025 RUclips highlight of the year and right from the offset. OFR you guys never do things small 😂. Loving the journey you have invited us along 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
i would definitely raise the filtration a bit higher so you can put more water in teh sump. even having a large volume of water helps with filtration, more volume for bacteria and dilutes any other toxins. You fixed so many issues with taht sump that looks like black mould.
If rich has 6 people to help him, then another 2 people show up, including rich, how many people are in the room? How many volunteers does it take to change a sump?
Really depends on the individual worth of each person. Big Rich is equal to 5 good men, Josh is at least equal to 10 good men and then you have to account for every other persons worth to get an accurate number lol
I saw on OFR #2 channel from Reper's perspective... guys I hope you have learned a lot of lessons from moving and flipping sump. I would highly advise to take more precautions going forward in terms of safety. Other tanks are larger and risk margin is higher. From watching that video it looked to me like few guys were in the "screw this I am not getting hurt today mindset" which complicated things for everyone else. All hands on deck or no move because when things are being yelled and people remove hands from the VERY heavy tank... other people can get hurt really easy. I just want all ya'll to be safe... that's all.
everytime you guys got someone over to help how you guys talk is somewhat disrespectful IMO I been watching for years and its always something how you guys talk to your V O L U N T E E R S not worker
There is fish in there. The purpose of the sump is to collect the freshly filtered water from all filtration and then pump that fresh, clean water to all the tanks
@ Does the pool pond have a sump? I thought it was completely self contained with its own internal filtration and that filtration system is large enough to not only filter the pool but also all of the large tanks. So the tanks would overflow into the pool pond and freshwater from the pool pond would be pumped into the tanks. I guess the answer to my question would be, no the filtration in the pool pond is just adequate for the pool pond.
Super exciting to see the first one into place. If I didn't live thousands of miles away, I'd be there.

Thanks Big Rich for the update couldn't wait to come home to watch. The Fish room is coming together.
Josh definitely knows his stuff

I tried the other fish channels but this one is the best. Authentic
The new sump looks good. Everything falling into place. Im looking forward to the next phase.

New sump working looks great. ❤😊
Nice! Oh, to have the space, time and muscle to do something like this! You guys ROCK!
That looks very beautiful lots and lots of more space compared to what it look like whenever you guys first move to tanks in and don't worry about the mess in the videos us viewers like watching stuff like that and behind the scenes, can't wait to see the videos on the other ones that are set up coming along so smoothly.

Why can't You put the rays in the big pool?
Hey rich.. I’m ok with my 55 gallon it’s enough maintenance for me !!!
If somebody thinks i am crazy 4. 10 tanks😮
i would definitely raise the filtration a bit higher so you can put more water in teh sump. even having a large volume of water helps with filtration, more volume for bacteria and dilutes any other toxins. You fixed so many issues with taht sump that looks like black mould.
perhaps even put a couple of steel pieces on top of the sump and put the filtration there side by side.
way to go guys! @BigRich, do you guys not use weld-on or similar to weld acrylic cracks for a reason?
@@waynecreech we do use it :)

good bye black mould.

Why don’t you just use the big swimming pool pond as the sump, doesn’t it have massive filtration capabilities?
There is fish in there. The purpose of the sump is to collect the freshly filtered water from all filtration and then pump that fresh, clean water to all the tanks
