the great thing about having curly hair and cutting your own hair is that its really hard to tell if it's uneven because the curls are wonky and uneven anyway lol
Mama Bear african hair can range from pin straight to the kinkiest curls. natural hair is referred to as that because it’s the alternative to hair that isn’t in its natural state, like perms and texturisers.

Am I the only one who watched Violet in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory as a child, and stuck their gum behind their ear like she does?! Expectation of saving it while you eat; reality, getting it really stuck in your hair and having to cut it out. 😬😩
I got the Rachel cut just this month by accident when I went in for a trim and subtle layering and it was right before my college graduation. I sobbed big time in the car afterwards
The first time I dyed my hair, I wanted to go for a natural red color. As I started applying the dye to my hair, my skin was becoming stained a dark purple color. I thought it was normal. Odd, but probably normal. After washing it and drying it, I realized it was 100% black dye. I rummaged through the trash to find the bottle of dye and it was a different brand than the box I bought. So someone stole the expensive red dye from my box and switched it with cheap black dye from a different brand. I tried to strip the color from my hair and ended up cutting of 8 inches of hair. It's red now, but I still have a short bob.
That happened to my mother once. What should have been a dark blonde color was a dark red-brown color. One of many reasons I will never use box color, lol.
My mom took my sister and I to the same lady for years, and I remember that whenever I wanted to try something new she would just say “No” and cut my hair how she wanted it. So for years I HATED getting my hair done until I was in high school and finally told her “No, you know what? I want to do what I want to do, and if I regret it that’s fine because at least I had a choice” and left! I am now happy to say I am banglless, I have layers, and I am happy.
I had a long and obsessive habit of splitting my ends, to the point where ppl asked about it. Finally having a job where I have to keep my hair up all the time has all but completely broken the habit for me 🙌🏻
All the regrettable things I have done to my hair in my life: Sun-In, cap highlights, cutting my own bangs/ends, too much flat ironing with no heat protection, straight across bangs with a pronounced center part that eventually parted my growing-out bangs, washing it too often, getting it cut and hating it right before college grad pictures, box dye that was darker than I expected I think that’s about it. 😂
lol green is probably the hardest color to get out, dont ever dye your hair blue/green unless you plan on keeping it like that. Even if its only a temporary dye
DIY hair dye tip. If you still have staining from dye. Mix dish soap, Dawn preferably, and baking soda. Apply to the stains leave it for a bit, scrub and rinse. It should lighten or remove the stain

Once, when I was about 4 or 5, my mum took me to this new salon in the next bigger town. This was my first and only time I got a cut from a man (I am still to traumatised to try a male hairdresser!). And I wanted half long hair, something cute. And at the end, I looked like a mushroom. And not like a cute one. I cried so much in the car! I was so upset, that my mum took me to a diffrent one and they cut my hair really short! I looked like a boy, but a cute boy. And I was so happy with it. But I still won't let a man cut my hair and somehow I feel bad about it
Even though I'm a guy, I can relate to the mushroom thing. I like to wear my hair long because I have really nice full hair and I love to show it off. Doing my hair just right makes me feel good about myself! Went to a barber instead of a stylist and oh my god. I looked like the little Dutch boy with his finger in the dam. It was so bad and I just wore it in a short ponytail until it grew out enough for me to get layers put in. By an actual stylist. So I also looked like a mushroom. I've never had a bad cut by a female stylist, ever. I tried the same barber again (you know, because I'm stupid) and got basically the same thing. I actually cried after I got home from the second one. So lesson was definitely learned.
Don’t feel bad, you had a somewhat “traumatic “ childhood experience , I’ve only had female hairdressers , it would just feel kinda wrong to have a guy do it , ya know?
so story time!: i was at the the hairdressers and i was getting my hair cut really short, i wanted a shave on one side and it longer on the other. i showed her a picture and she said ok that is going to look great on you. she proceeds to cut me a bob and then curls it so so so so messily and i had hair sticking up left right and centre i said thank you paid and left then as i walked down the street i had a mental break down and started crying 👍🙃
i have twice now, you’d think i’d learn my lesson but noooo, cut the hair at the base of my head. Here’s why, i would put my hair in a ponytail and it wasn’t long enough to go in the ponytail, so i decided to take scissors and cut not even a lot off, just enough so that i had like a whole inch of hair sticking out at the bottom of my head. Did it twice, i regret it, and my mother has only caught me once. It’s a win lose situation...i lost.
One part of this makes me sad because they were talking about making someone else clean the drain and one girl said "That's why I need a boyfriend" I am ashamed of my gender
I have this habit of just running my fingers through my hair... And I have long wavy hair, and it gets greasy all the time so I just wear a hat until I have time to take a shower 😅😂
When I was 7, I had hair down to my waist, and it was as thick around as my arm. I also hated to wash it because it took forever. So I decided that I would cut a foot of it off and donate it, leaving me with a bob. I felt great about the decision until I got home from the haircut. I cried my eyes out and begged my mom to get my hair back. I told her that I missed my hair and I wanted it back, but it was obviously too late. Eventually I learned to love it, and then it grew back out.
