Omg I used to play this alot on my PS2 (hand-me-down) but I absolutely loved it and it got me hooked on games and stories of this genre! Great gameplay btw it's an easy concept but it's not in any way easy to win (darn you opa) 😂
It took me 10 years of Ebay scouring to finally find aJapanese copy from a US seller (the PAL version is common, but I didn't want the PAL release as I don't live in PAL territories, and had parts of character endings removed), and for a good price too. To wait a decade for something to finally fall into my hands is insane, but the chase for Puchi Carat is over, now have it on PS1, and on US and Japanese PS2 Taito compilations.
@@LunaPrincessNinjato Thank you, I just hope any future game I chase doesn't take a decade to get. This was the only time I've ever seen someone from within the US selling a Japanese copy, wasn't going to let it slip away, because I've not seen another one in the 2 years or since I bought my copy from a US seller. And the Japanese version is not seen all that often on Ebay.
@@Evilriku13 Yes, the arcade version for sure had stuff removed from the endings, and the English translation for the PS1 PAL version is said to be pretty stiff, and a bit nonsensical (sort of like the case for Magical Drop 3, dialogue in that seems strange between the characters). The arcade version also axes out the character profiles in the English release. Forgot where I read long ago that the PAL release has endings trimmed down somewhat, could've sworn it was the Puchi Carat Palace, but apparently it wasn't that place.
Patrako's so precious as always

Thats great and I do recall this game being packed in a collection on PS2 and wii
"Patrako: Give me your secret stone"
"Random peep: no"
"Patrako: Then i'll beat the crap out of you"
Huh--
Patrako from "Cleopatra Fortune"!!
Shocking huh? They really went all out giving her a special type of bumper and voice and animations
Soundtrack is the best thing in this game
I agree, the music is amazing
The magic of Zuntata.

The thrill of the hunt!
Glad you met your goal

Fun (?) fact. Perydot is 26 and her daughter Sapphire is 19. Unless the furry spell reduced her age, Bee impregnated Perydot when she was 7... Eugh
Fantasy worlds and ages tend to be a sticky subject
I don't think you care anymore but apparently Perydot was actually 39. The furry spell did de-age her
Pearl and Dearl ?
puns on jewels, Gotta stand out ehehhehee
@@LunaPrincessNinjato Could be a mistranslation of Dale too, but only Taito knows.
The english in this game is sometimes broken
wait till you see all the ending text in Darius Gaiden lol
