For a shim underneath the nut you can also cut a piece of soda aluminium can like coca cola etc, its thin enough to cut with a scissor, and you can cut it exactly at the shape of the nut, just drill 2 holes for the nut screws, and you can stack more than one if needed.
I noticed no string tree, I just ordered one this morning for my Charvel Bumblebee. I found that without the tree the strings go sharp when you tighten down the locking nut. You can clearly see the space between the low e and the nut. I wanted to avoid that because it is a pain in my ass. Thanks for sharing.
im using epoxy.. it look like this shopee.com.my/Epoxy-Resin-200G-(150G-50G)-Clear-projek-Rbt-Sekolah-Tingkatan-2-3-membuat-Acuan-Dan-Model-Malaysia-Clay-Art-i.1253008.1237759451?sp_atk=548d19f9-a84c-4825-83a3-82437e0af5dd&xptdk=548d19f9-a84c-4825-83a3-82437e0af5dd
Strange my ibenez s521 is the same I bought it from a friend and wow it was terrible the height adjustment was well off,no fret buzz but strings were way too high hard to play it!! So I took off the locking nut got first screw out,2nd screw was de,faced what a nightmare it was I tried everything so I drilled it out it broke off in bits again a nightmare so I've taken so much time to do some research on this found ur video and it is same bad job haha, string height on it when on was like 10mm hahah crazy!! Was sounding so badly out of tune when it says it was in tune I was going nuts so I ordered a black floyd rose nut drilled bigger holes so I can put in gorilla glue with wooden dowels I've put it side for now I'll check it tommor morning see how it is cured! If good I'll file it down do new good holes and get the height adjustment sorted for new FR locking nut coming any tips buddie
wow, it sure look lot of works. but if its our pasiion to do it, we always happy to do it right haha.. but im not sure using gorilla glue is a wise action. because incase you want to pull it off again maybe so difficult. i think epoxy will do it. but use it as hardener to correct the mistake too big hole. after dry, drill again for the right size
@@pale0903 ok I will do that,I've filled the holes with proxy gorilla glue and wooden dowels so far,but I'll video it from now shaving it and filling it to fit mate,ok I will do that thank u for ur reply
