I've got a similar iron to this one and what I like and the reason I picked it up is that I can use Hakko 900m tips on mine which is great. I got it because I had a ridiculous situation with a cheaper soldering station which had screw type tips that were almost impossible to find replacements for.
I am getting the same one but I am still young so this is all I have saved up to buy it and thank you for the video I now know that it's worth my money I will keep support you and looking out for vids of yours
Bro thanks for this video. I bought a similar one from TEMU and was getting cold feet even plugging this cheapo solder kit specially my first time trying to solder. I felt like an idiot going cheap on something I'd have to plug in. 😂
You can solder a longer cord or put a piece onto the the existing one. Onto the soldering iron. Hopefully it will stay hot long enough to do It without power after cutting the cord😂
Okay so where did you buy it? Because I arrived here by searching a specific product and I cannot tell if this is that product I like your comment about old technology lol
@ch-tc4ct fantastic information - one other question: how important is the wattage? It seems like 60 is the minimum and it goes up to about 120. Is this something I should be concerned with?

Excellent video! Straight to the point and very informative! Thank you!
My eye glass frame broke , it metal , do u think , I can solder it together ? Thx
Yes you can, just tin both sides properly and use flux 👍🏻
Sure, but solder can be a bit brittle, so I wouldn't expect the repair to last long.

If it's like mine (the UK version) yes it's a good starter iron.
