So it is still alive. Could not find any news about Avelo last time I checked. I hope this technology will find its way into scuba industry some way or another, but I am not convinced about the Avelo System in its current form. It is sort of a "take it all or nothing" deal right now. Wish this would be more integratable into existing scuba gear. We already have backplates, we already have harnesses and we already have battery canisters. Integrate the pump into the bottle and allow it to plug into a standard E/O cord, so people can dive with their standard backplate and DIR harness. I bet more people would be willing to play with it like that.
