Just for the record, I’m 36 and Thursday is solely responsible for getting me into hardcore. In 2001 I got Full Collapse, checked out the victory catalog and my next several purchases were Grade, Earth Crisis, Deadguy, and Snapcase. I’d say that Thursday are probably the band from that emo boom moment with THE most hardcore cred.
All great bands & yet I totally see what you did there. Or maybe didn’t do? Either way time is an illusion yet both the band Thursday & the day have a place in this human essence. Apparently these silly labels referring to time can also be great artistic contributions much gratitude
Would love to see the next time Bo or Colin go on tour a vlog of their day to day. Food spots, coffee spots, and just general tour shenanigans and tie it in with HARDLORE some how 💪💕
1:43:45 Brian Baker was in Minor Threat since the beginning. Started playing bass, then switched to guitar when they added Steve Hangsen on bass as the 5th member.
Incendiary into Harms Way blew me away! Had to have a nap during Harms Way's soundcheck due to the lack of sleep! Bo is an absolute gent, ran into him before his set at Outbreak. Took five minutes out of his day to chat to a fan and have a picture. Made my weekend!!!
Regarding the Hamburg Show, especially the venue: if the Booker would answer his mails or respond in any other way, there would be a local support. They did the same with a Madball-Show some days before 🤷
Wish perhaps someone with a big yard could be available for correspondence over there. Really would relish the day & bask in the cleansing soothing sounds waves of the glorious Gladball
Machine Head's first record " Burn My Eyes" was released in 1994. I had this album on cassette. I used to listen to it on my yellow Sony sports Walkman while I was on the bus as a freshman. I believe I heard Rob talking about when they started on his podcast. Roadrunner Records approached them not long after they had formed I believe.
Always love these tour recap videos. Seeing Harms Way for the first time in October, I am very stoked, but Bo, I beg of thee, please play Scrambled on the Vancouver date. Justice for Bo’s poor melon
Good call on Federal Donuts. My buddy and I loved the blueberry vanilla bean donut. I also enjoyed the peach cobbler donut and the breakfast sandwich. The cherry pepper relish was a nice touch.
Not gonna lie. Foot long churro is not bad, but im from buffalo, so we don't have churros. Also, kirk uses a metalzone with level at max all EQ at noon gain at zero into the randall rg100es, and the trick is to run the presence almost at max🎉🎉🎉
Love the Warhound mention! One of my faves from the 2010s. Although idk if they were really considered beatdown? They kinda had a biohazard/ nyhc vibe going I felt
The only thing I can imagine is that its in reference to a shirt design rip. Wouldnt be surprised considering a bunch of bands have done Age of Quarrel rips
Copenhagen. I didn’t see Bo slipping, but I peeped him getting up. INSANE dust from the pit. SOMEONE messed up on the sound BUT that specific stage has a 2/10 ratio for Good Sound. Easily the worst stage out of the four. THANK YOU FOR PLAYING MIND CONTROL! Hopefully a club show next time 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
In Flanders Fields is a Canadian poem by John McCrae. The battle of Passchendaele was eventually won with the Canadian Corps suffering huge losses. There's a pretty good movie about it.
19:22 Day late to say this, but I highly recommend the book “Do What You Want: The Story of Bad Religion.” It’s one of the few books I’ve re-read more than once
Tip from a barista to get something like cold brew in Europe: the shop I work at invented something called espresso aria- you combine espresso with a bunch of ice and a touch of water, steam it up til almost all the ice dissolves and it tastes most similar to cold brew. Tastier than an iced americano, we discovered it when we ran out of cold brew once. Your European barista might hate you at first but will thank you later
it would be kind of sick to have guests from other genres/subgenres that have different musical takes. i keep thinking about that episode with connie from SYSC and that was really cool to hear her talk different influences. i know hardcore is the main focus of most of the conversation here, but would you guys ever want to have like an ambient or black metal artist on the show? awesome episode as always fellas
Architects are an English metalcore band from Brighton, England. You guys should check out the following albums: • Lost forever/ Lost together • All our gods have abandoned us Byeeeee
Praying for Bo’s speedy recovery
🙏
Thoughts and prayers

Anyone disputing that should check out their set from TIHC.

Ayyeee love the Grade shoutout. Local legends to me, very under appreciated.

The comedic (and general) chemistry is unmatched!
Gods hate vs Harms way Family feud
24:30 The band's name is Kin Corruption, check em out !!!!
FYI Bo: Iron Maiden has a banger of a song about Paschendale
Incendiary into Harms Way blew me away! Had to have a nap during Harms Way's soundcheck due to the lack of sleep!
Bo is an absolute gent, ran into him before his set at Outbreak. Took five minutes out of his day to chat to a fan and have a picture.
Made my weekend!!!
Tim Hecker reference on hardlore is what I'm hear for
Hardlore needs a hardcore hardest people tier list with Sean Martin taking the top spot

Bo living the gimmick! Love it!!

The best type of episodes.

Bo and James sneaking over to see Madball like they were kids again was some cool shit
With just the top of Colin’s shirt I know it’s “Once Upon the Cross” 😉
Colin knowing Guatemala exists makes me feel validated.
Good call on Federal Donuts. My buddy and I loved the blueberry vanilla bean donut. I also enjoyed the peach cobbler donut and the breakfast sandwich. The cherry pepper relish was a nice touch.
Whether or not bo was kicked, doesn't matter, but colin was definitely trying to kick him.
Glad you liked riipfest Bo, I had a blast watching you perform there.
Do we get the hot weaponX goss yet?

Love the Warhound mention! One of my faves from the 2010s. Although idk if they were really considered beatdown? They kinda had a biohazard/ nyhc vibe going I felt
Shout out Guilt Trip, check them out!!
what's the Harley Flanagan cease and desist story?
The only thing I can imagine is that its in reference to a shirt design rip. Wouldnt be surprised considering a bunch of bands have done Age of Quarrel rips
I think they used the original Cro Mags logo in the thumbnail with their interview with Parris, which got a cease and desist at the time
Whose up Deadlying their Catch?
LETS GO!!!!
Talking about medieval weapons is top tier Hardlore
Maaan an hour n a half of Harms Way would be sick!!
Sir Boderick, forget the double bitted axe... You want a pollaxe!

In Flanders Fields is a Canadian poem by John McCrae. The battle of Passchendaele was eventually won with the Canadian Corps suffering huge losses. There's a pretty good movie about it.
was thinking this. if he hasnt seen it bo will love that movie
19:22 Day late to say this, but I highly recommend the book “Do What You Want: The Story of Bad Religion.” It’s one of the few books I’ve re-read more than once
Editor’s note: the audiobook kicks ass if that’s y’all’s thing

hoooly shit, Bo.... shoutout Tim Hecker! One of my favourite artists and a fellow Montrealer.
Justice for Bo, I can't believe you Colin!
The fact that Bo took the French train and had no issue with it is a reaaaaal miracle. Those dudes leggit burned the train roads for the olympics lmao

Finally some Bad Religion representation in hardcore
I mean, we could watch hardlore
I’m surprised Donkey Kong Country wasn’t mentioned for the soundtracks. I don’t know if you guys messed with that at all, but it’s legendary.
"Gotta get your mind straight dude" - Bo / Gandhi

Bo can’t continue this slander
for that esophagus issue, you wont like it, but stop the diet soda.

I'm with Bo on the not liking modern music in historical piece films. It removes me from the experience. Don't do that.
Please come back title fight
Damn Colin fucked up again picking howlin rays over Dave’s 🤦🏻♂️ it’s all downhill from here guys
Architects are an English metalcore band from Brighton, England.

I honestly thought bo was about to debut a hair transplant when he took that hat off
BAUX WITDA KAYFABE AMIRITE?!
Are you a two-handed weapon kinda guy?? I don’t think so!
TIM HECKER
24:52 Greece is punk as fuck (not so sure about hardcore). Shout out Disphonia (if you know, you know).
Love the Bad Religion worship. LA is Burning is not an ideal intro to the band, I can see why you werent bowled over at first
L take on shorts
It’s incredible Colin’s getting into bad religion in his 30’s.
