  • Testing out a new cheap prop found on Amazon. It's not very impressive, but I figured it was worth trying until I can get another good quality high rake prop for speed runs. Hope you enjoy! #rc #rchobbies #scalemodel #rcboat #boatgang #udirc

Yeah it's a fun boat for sure.. definitely gets me smiling, but I don't like that tumbling over. I think it would run better with the stock prop, but need to spend some coin to go fast for real 😁 Glad you enjoyed!

I ran that 48mm prop on my Deltaforce 23 mini sniper. It's a fun prop. 😁 great whole shot but bottoms out on the top end

Ahh! I figured you would know about it with your vast collection. Yep, I agree.. great out of the hole but lacks the rake and pitch to go fast. I'm learning!

What a great way of spending a summers evening!
That's a beautiful lake, and what a delightful sunset to!
That thing had some serious speed, and you control it with confidence buddy..... even doing a little jump to!
Also, had to chuckle at, the walk of shame...... at least it wasn't a swim of shame! 😂
    👍 👍 👍

Ha! Glad you enjoyed this one, and it was good fun slinging the boat around.. even if some of it was unintended! 😆

Yeah that prop looks like it has a bit of negative pitch like the slow fly plane blades, think you may need a smaller but more aggressive pitch prop, that could eliminate some of that torque twist aswell being smaller🤷 looking at it from a plane perspective though.

      @scaleworksRC  2 месяца назад +1

Yes, you see what I mean. The angle is too shallow on the end of the blade to be effective for speed. It's great out of the hole though!

Oh yeah and weight distribution is SUPER important being on a liquid surface unlike a car.
Definitely play around with lipo positioning👌

Yep, I think the prop affected the handling as well.. another lesson learned. I'm just not sure if I want to go through the process of re-mounting and moving stuff around. Also means no more self righting so there's that trade off as well 🤷‍♂ boats are definitely different, but fun!

😂😂 you had me cracking up. De briss.😅what a beautiful sunset rip. I feel like you’re not feeling that prop but it looks great from my perspective. Ima have to go back and watch the last video with the old prop 👍✌🏼

@Rangoli_rc hehehe 😁 glad you enjoyed that one, and it's probably hard to tell on camera, but the boat seems more prone to spiral with that prop & low speed handling is ass.. but worth a shot! 🫡👍

Heck yeah bro awesome vid 🙌🏼 but like I was saying bigger isn't always better it needs tach out the rpms so it gets up on plane but as it does free up and speed up the handling gets sketchy from these hulls. But sure is fun ✌🏼😎🙏🏼

      Sunset vibe beautiful 👍🏼

Yup, I'm learning a lot with every run and adjustment. It needs a high rake prop to bring the boat out of the water, but they all have 20mm hub lengths. This one is 13mm, so that means moving the drive dog or a longer cable. I'm thinking a 42-44mm 1.9 pitch would help it out a lot.. or your setup

@@scaleworksRC The 6s setup makes this boat very fun because its out of control and on the edge but you like long runs so 4s is a better setup and the 6s is hard on that plastic🙏🏼🙌🏼

@@mikesrcgarage That sounds about right.. I think finding the right prop and maybe a bump up with the ESC capacity and it should be good to go!

Another stunning view, I'm loving the boat videos, way to mix it up, I have no clue about boats but look loads of fun.

Yep.. great acceleration, but not the top speed I'm looking for. It was a fun lesson though!

Great run!! Do you know how many amps it was pulling?

@@RDM3DLAB No idea, but I think it's ok with the temps.. they were still in the 120s. I have to do some math, but I think a 90A would get the full benefit of 4S with that motor.. and 120 even better. Just need to consider size and weight 👍
