"When you are real, shabibness doesn't matter" - Thank you for the wisdom and wonderful comments Matthew. Your insights and realness are greatly appreciated. Thanks for sharing the insights from the Velveteen Rabbit and Life is Messy.
Beautiful words to ponder as a parent, seeing your children grow up with their beloved toys, remembering ones own toys as a child, and also observing the reality of growing old while your own parents grow old with you.
Always my favorite and always makes me cry! Such a precious beautiful story! When I was little I had a stuffed animal bunny that my Nana threw away because it got shabby. I was heartbroken and inconsolable. I loved that shabby bunny. ❤ .
I was just reflecting on how this story is a lot like our journey towards becoming REAL when we meet Jesus. I wondered if other believers ever considered this story when thinking about our relationship with God. I’m glad to hear that your church shared about this story!
Love this. Children and animals teach us to love. It’s not what’s on the outside but on the inside what counts. Real love last forever and gets stronger over time. Just a few of my thoughts. Probably missed something important. Keep up the videos. Thank you .
Reminds me. Of Oscar Wilde’s stories for children. They were profound. I saw how he could come back to God at the end of his life I in those stories. He kept on to the magic of childhood. Thanks Matthew.
Matthew, I sent this to a lot of people. It just brought back such great memories of that book. I sent it to my sister and she said, that Matthew makes growing old seemed not so bad. Actually the author does, but the way you read it really struck her.

now that shabby bunny is real!
I heard about this in church today - beautiful story that more people should know about and live accordingly.

That was beautiful!! To be REAL is about the inside not how we appear on the outside. Jesus teaches us how to become Real if we let him. 🙌🌹
Indeed. Delighted this resonated with you Cecilia.

This brought back so many memories, as I read this book to both my children many times. Words of wisdom for us as well.

Awwww🐰🤗🥰♥️
My parents read me The Velveteen Rabbit. I had Sammy, a teddy bear, that I made real.
Glad your parents did that for you.
