This absolutely makes my heart beyond happy!! Even as a little three year old, I always felt like the Velveteen Rabbit was a story embodiment of me… very old soul. ❤❤❤
I first read The Velveteen Rabbit when I was in the 2nd grade and confined to bed with, ironically enough, Scarlett fever. I promptly became absolutely terrified that my Mom would burn all of my stuffed animals, but prayed if she did they, too, would become "real", because I loved them so much. Fortunately it was the 60s, so burning stuffed critters was out. Thank you so very much for the lovely job you have done with the reading of this. It is very, very well done. You brought back some wonderful memories. Thanks, again.
💕Much requested and a dear favourite the world over; this was a delight to read for you! Is this your first time hearing the story or is it perhaps a beloved treasure of yours? I'd love to know what experience you have had with it
I vaguely remember reading this as a child. I loved your reading of this and I cried when I thought that the poor bunny would be burned. I'm so glad he became real and went to live in rabbit land. Thank you for a beautiful story and wonderful reading.
Firstly, thank you for asking this question. I never heard the story until I was an adult and it is my favorite all-time story among thousands or perhaps hundreds of books that I’ve read… Among other things, it gave validity to the reality of Fairy’s and because I’ve read so many books it is astonishing to me how often fairies are referenced in literature you wouldn’t expect them to be like Jane Eyre, for instance.
I remember watching the film with my family as a small child. I remembered it long after I forgot the name. Back then I was excited since my mom adored the story. I imagined it a bit like Winnie the Pooh, but I felt so upset, im mind for my own stuffed animal with great love and was sorrowful seeing the boy through they eyes of the rabbit, suffer and horrified they would try to burn the rabit after the fever! It was sl tragical and horrible it stuck with me and i cried at the happy ending. Now that I am older it is beautiful.
I really enjoyed this story on this cold winters morning in Pretoria. I wish you'd read Little Lord Fauntleroy when you have the time. I vastly enjoyed the secret Garden and The Little Princess (the latter I heard for the first time in my life) 🤗 have a wonderful Saturday
Such a gentle, lovely story. 💚 This was always a rare treat to have read as a bedtime story as a child because it was a little bit longer of a book. Thanks for reading this!
I’ve only ever seen a snippet of this book as a meme. Thank you for reading it. It was my first time hearing the whole story, and it was as wonderful as I imagined it would be.
steven!!! yayyyy!!!!! omg this makes me so happy. I started a hobby of collecting children's books (well...books are hella expensive, so i'm currently collecting library books and then sending them back hahahahahah. gotta start somewhere, right? :p)

Hahaha I've never even heard of it 🙈but I'm Russian, you can forgive me. Longing to hear it! PS Ah, Steven, can you please tell me how to join the foxy club through Patreon (just picking one and logging in and will be able to read your library if included?) Thank you!
Haha! You are very much forgiven! I'd not read this story myself until a few months ago, and then only because a few people had requested that I narrate it. Now when I have finally got around to recording it I'm very glad I did! Regarding Patreon, that's exactly right! 😊 Simply choose a "tier" and depending on the pledge I grant access to my audio libraries through Google Drive.
