Hilversum was the first Dutch city, and the first European city, that I experienced, in 2002. I remember there was a store that only sold fresh vegetables, something that I've never seen before, living in the US.

We absolutely loved Hilversum. Such a beautiful, peaceful city. Loved the Saturday markets, the beautiful houses.. cycling through the woods.
