Brett Kollmann what if that was intentional and in the playoffs they change it
Why in the hell did you have to upload this jinx video before my Titans face the Pats defense next week?
Stop acting shilly. You do a great video and are still trying to sell shit.
JBTEsquire the Seventh I feel for you. He just screwed you over big time.
Hey brett, can you do a video on baltimore offense please
Now why can't TV analysts do something like this? Instead we have to hear them go on and on about "this team wanted it more" and "this player didn't show up"
They can't as it takes time and an insane football mind! Which none of them are to be honest other then some coaches and some players! ,they are just "mere entertainers "
Really the only one that I can think that does this is Romo. He gives great football insight and analysis.
Peyton Manning and Baldy have some old videos from this season on the nfl RUclips channel
shalin khalif are you fucking dumb. The people they have on tv are former great nfl players and coaches. They’re more than capable of breaking down film. Anyone can break down film it’s literally just about wasting your time watching the all 22. Breaking down nfl film is so easy
I think it's a matter of time. Both in preparation and in a explainations.
Analysts: the patriots lost because they didn’t play good
Brett: hi guys so I figured out the entire patriots defensive system in 2 weeks
scott ross they have receivers just not enough chemistry
Inferno he isn’t fully wrong. The pats should have kept garoppolo so that when brady retires they have someone to have who is very promising (he does his job great he isn’t top 5 but he does exactly enough for the success of his team)
@Jake Shattuck he threw those screen passes away dumbass on purpose last year

Brett Kollmann Kollmann curse confirmed fake news! Kollmann the goat
The gambler always loses in the end.
I thought the same thing. Miami was taking advantage of those slants being wide open and then folding in a few later developing slant-and-goes to bait Gilmore even more
Yea, and if anybody knew the Pats' tendencies, it was Flores.
Brett's videos make me feel both like a genius and an idiot at the same time. This is peak football watching.
true, i feel you bro.
I love showing my high school team his videos. I'll be watching the film for the week and find something that our opponents do and find his corresponding video for that Tuesday. Sure, being a DC in high school isn't nearly as technical as for an NFL defense, but I always tell my kids at the start of camp "first, we'll learn to use THIS *points to my head*, then we'll learn how to use THAT *points to the practice equipment*"

No. The Patriots have never won a championship in the Bill Belichick era without a first round bye.
When some guy on RUclips provides professional analysis of football 1000× better than professional football analysts
those analysts are mostly journalists who canreport about the game but cant understand it to a high level imo
@@kevinzhu6417 I get your point, but it's pretty sad when most ex-players who become analysts provide some terrible analysis of the game
Tony Romo in my opinion is the best analyst. I wouldn't mind if the Dolphins hired him as a coordinator .
@@kgibbsiam Romo is always smart about his analysis. Great guy to watch
@@andrewmeyer4124 I don't fault them for that. The network heads decide what does and doesn't get covered, and the time limits for segments make it really hard to go into the depth that Brett does. Networks aren't stupid; they know that these types of detailed breakdowns of film don't hook in most audiences (technical breakdowns of details tend to put people to sleep, even if it's a topic many viewers may show some degree of interest in), so they stick to narratives.
In the off-season I’d love a vid on the cards they really stayed in a lot of tough games this year like the rams the niners twice the ravens and even the saints for a good portion of the game dudes even managed to beat the Seahawks
Definitely going to happen!
Brett Kollmann oh fuck yeah!!!!
Need a defense ...
Opposing teams TE's killed us at inopportune times
As much love n respect I got for a former sun devil alumni in T-Sizzle, but it was clear he was not the same player he once was and wasted a roster spot for someone who could've served better for the team
Haason Reddick is a confusing player to me, they placed him at ILB when he came out of Temple as a situational edge rusher on 3rd downs... LETS just say it wasn't a bold move to place him at one of the MIKE spots
Only ones I can say who balled out this pas season on the defensive side was Chandler Jones, Jordan Hicks, and Budda Baker... Pat Pete didn't find his groove back till the browns game which was too late and sucks he got suspended early in the season but hey s--t happens
... x(
Colton Begay ik all that tho, all of that is very surface level I’d love an in depth look from Brett about Patty P’s struggles and exactly how the opposing TEs would kill because I don’t know that we should blame Swearanger entirely last season AZ dropped Sam Bradford when I’m pretty sure it was mostly Mike McCoys play calling and the play designs I just wanna know the lil things like that ig

The emphasis on scheme would also explain the huge (subjective, at least) improvements in Gilmore's play in the last two years. Pats D in 2017 (especially) and last year up until the playoffs always seemed vulnerable to giving up big plays -remember Gilmore's first game as a Pat against the Chiefs in 2017? Alex Smith looked like Peyton Manning that day, and Gilmore got burned several times. His personal talent was there, but the scheme hadn't adapted to give him that safety support yet.
This is the first year I've seen people talk about Gilmore as a "shutdown" corner- he's always been really good, but you don't suddenly make huge improvements in your play at age 29 unless the scheme around you improves- and when that breaks down, you're back to where you started.
Corey This year the saftey has his back more often
Gilmore in 2017 was getting use to the defensive scheme they ran a lot of zone then but since then they play more man and that’s why Gilmore’s play has been much better same with Marcus Peters he was great in KC running zone he gave up a lot of plays with the rams because they ran more man now in Baltimore Peter’s side is zone more often than the opposite side so he looks great again but he had his moments giving up big plays in Baltimore also
@@doobie176 You have it the wrong way. Chiefs under Sutton played as much man coverage as anyone in the league. Peters was a man corner in KC and wasn't as comfortable playing in Wade's zone heavy scheme.

Ive always said, while Gilmore gives the appearance of playing on an island, he is only able to take the risks he takes and trail so often be so physical at the line, bc he knows he has some of the best/most consistently solid safety play in the league behind him
McCourty has arguably been the most underrated safety of his generation. Guys like Eric Berry, Earl Thomas and even Malcolm Jenkins had higher peaks but McCourty has been quietly steady for so long.
@L What about Revis? You gonna bring up LaRoid Landry? Champ Bailey? Woodson? CBs can be shutdown w/o outstanding safety play
@@joedorben3504 That's the point of single high safety. Or "safety help" to the inside every team has that or 2 deep no corner lines up in a cover zero of every play
The Patriots offense will be their downfall in this year's playoffs.
We will see. Brady is always better in the playoffs. Tbh, if they can't get him some more help at offensive tackle and get him a TE, I don't think the Pats will win another ring. With that said, we will see how the Pat's offense does in the playoffs. Defense wins championships. If the Pats can just sustain some drives, I think they will be in good shape. They just gotta convert 3rd downs and keep their D fresh for the quarter that matters(4th).
@@faveology
The Chiefs & Ravens have good defenses that will keep the Patriots out of the Super Bowl this year. The Pats nor Brady, at 42 is going to suddenly flip a switch in the postseason. A younger Brady? Maybe but we have 16 games worth of information to go off of this year & that offense is not what it once was. Neither is Brady.
You don't magically just get better. There has to be something to build on for that to happen. The Bills game showed they could get it done if the run game shows up, but it has been very inconsistent. That running game is key, and i don't see it being consistent enough for them.
Rodgers put up 23 and won. Garropollo put up 26 and won. Mahomes put up 24 pts + a kickoff return TD and won.
Brady scores 24, with the lead, but Fitzpatrick Eli Manning'd the overrated Patriot defense.

Friday Jan. 4 2020: Titans OC enters the chat.
How crazy would it be if the Titans upset them
I wouldn't even consider it an upset
Emmanuel Moses titans record doesn’t show everything, if Ryan got the start from the beginning I think they would’ve won a majority of the games Marcus lost they hella good only reason it should be considered an upset is cuz it’s the pats
Crazy? A lot of people who saw them lose yesterday to the Dolphins didn't think it was crazy. There offense has gone WAY down this season. The O-line lost their right tackle to be replaced by someone like Marshall Newhouse and the starting center is gone, not to mention the receivers can't create separation. Pat fans better pray the defense and special teams make some huge plays that game.
I’m a pats fan and at this stage, I’d be pretty surprised if patriots win. Still have hope though🙏 Even if they lose, it’ll be cool to see someone else win, even though I’d hate to see them go out. Good luck for all fans 👍
I’d favor Tennessee in that matchup tbh.
I'm new to NFL and found this video so helpful in understanding better the defensive side of the game and also a handful of defensive NFL slang terms

17:09 sooo do the dolphins count as playoff caliber yet
Josh Mickelson probably next year
Khomes Welter you think so?
Jack TM yea they have tons of cap space and draft picks plus Flores is a good coach they’ll probably be in the wildcard next year
Jack TM offense is coming together that defense now has a great corner, they have a high pick in this years draft they just need more pieces on defense
If not next season, then the season after. They have an absurd amount of high picks these next two drafts
I think it really helps when you have studied the film's of your opposing teams sidelines so you know which play they are going to run and to which received the ball will be thrown to.
Watching your videos for a couple weeks and you just earned a sub....great content and work on these videos, keep it going please

The Texans were taking advantage of the soft coverage and the Patriots defense looked unimpressive. Then when the Patriots became more aggressive they got burned as well. I'm looking forward to the Wildcard game because I think the Titans power run game is gonna be a big problem for New England.
Very good video. Keep up the good work man.👍
Unfortunately this is on purpose, they always play like this in the regular season and totally switch on you in the postseason, that's how they dismantled Manning(Peyton) throughout his career. A couple times you say Gilmore is on an island or without help over the top, but both times he has a safety backing him (one the safety rolls to his side late). Not a knock on him (Sherman has safety help quite a bit in Seattle too), doing something with the opportunities you get when you have safety help makes a corner great as well.
