Those who preach a gospel of inclusiveness where “all ways lead to heaven” preach an utterly different gospel than the one Jesus preached. The gate of self-centeredness, self-absorption, and a proud, holier-than-thou mindset is the wide gate of the world that leads to hell, not the narrow gate that leads to eternal life. As a result, most people spend their lives following the masses who are on the broad road, doing what everyone else does and believing what everyone else believes.
The narrow way is the hard way, the demanding way. It is the way of recognizing that you cannot save yourself and must depend on Jesus Christ alone to save you. It’s the way of self-denial and the cross. The fact that few find God’s way implies that it is to be sought diligently. “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13). The way of Christ is the way of the cross, and the way of the cross is the way of self-denial. Jesus said, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it” (Luke 9:23-24).
Jesus knows that many will choose the wide gate and the broad way that leads to destruction and hell. Correspondingly, He said that only a few will choose the narrow gate. I'm not saying this for a motive for having a reason to help others, I'm saying to help others because God wants us to. Right now I'm going through a tremendous time in my life and I'm giving it to God, trying not to take it back. Believe me it's hard, lol. But when you start thinking of others first more especially now, cuz I do believe we're in the tribulation, and each of us are getting our own tribulation as we go through... But when you lose self, it's an amazing feeling, and it actually takes a lot of the load off your own mind. The mind is where our battles mainly are. That's why God gave us a conscience. I started this thing this year for some of the homeless here in my town that I see. I'm a delivery driver and I have to go into the darkest parts of my city. I see a lot of homeless laying on the concrete even their heads. So I started this little thing I called the Pillow Project. I know our works are supposed to be in secret, but this pertains to what I'm saying. I'm usually broke and one day I was in Walmart, and I saw these little travel pillows, this idea was in my head for a few months and I didn't know how to make it come to fruition. I didn't want to get big pillows because I know most of the homeless lose things and it would be more of a burden for them to carry a big huge fluffy pillow. So in Walmart I saw an aisle of travel pillows. I was pretty poor that day and I told my husband, to grab just two cuz I thought that was all I could afford. Turns out the pillow was ringing up at $2 a piece, and I was informed by the employee ,after I told him what I was doing that there was a whole aisle of these pillows in the clearance section!! I had about 10 bucks each pillow was $2! It's awesome so I've been running around during deliveries and when I see somebody with no pillow, I walk up and wake them up and offer them a nice soft pillow for their head❤ to see them grab that pillow tight like nothing else and then rest peacefully after I leave is all the feeling that I need I know that we do belong outside of the world but we also have to help inside the world. It drew me closer to God. I tell these folks that God loves them and I love them and he's coming soon 🙏🏾
