I completely understand the hate for Jose Cuervo. I am huge Tequila enthusiast. I have enjoyed some of the best Tequilas there are. However, Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia is AMAZING! It commands a higher price as it is an Extra Anejo. You should review that bad boy. You will be pleased if you haven't already tried it!
Went to buy Sparkle Donkey Tequila and couldn't find it anymore close to me so I picked up this 100% agave Jose Cuervo Tradicional Plata as a substitute for $21.00. As a mixing tequila, it taste good and is smooth and it works! Thanks for the nice older review and this is heavily stocked in Wine and Spirits shops near me! ✌️🇺🇸
The liquor store near my place sells gold Especial for couple of bucks more than silver tradicional! I bought the gold back then, not knowing it's bad!
My local Wine and More sells the Silver for $15.99 and the Reposado for $17.99 here in WA. I use the Reposado for Margaritas and the Silver for everything else.
The "cheapest" 100% de agave tequilas here in Europe are El Jimador and Cabrito. Both around 15 - 20 €. Both not bad. I haven't had any high priced ones yet, but anything is better than the usual half tequila half who-knows-what stuff that is Jose Cuervo Especial. Or really any of the "at least 75% tequila" stuff that Sierra and a lot of others sells around here. In stores you won't find any 100% de Agave Tequilas around here, BTW. I order that online.
i find it strange that tradicional is so much more (comparatively). I Canada we pay out the ass for Jose Gold at $30 for a 750ml but only $33 for a 750ml of Tradicional. Any way you cut it it is cheaper in the States but just odd you'd pay more than double.
You should take a vacation to the town of Tequila. It is a nice little town and you can take a tour of the Jose Cuervo distillery and some of the other companies also. I always thought all Jose Cuervo was the same cheap crap until I took that tour and seen all the varieties they have. As part of the tour they give you shots of the different tequilas and a class on how to taste test and that it with several shots. After awhile some people don't want to drink their shots and give them away. You can leave totally drunk as hell. They have some very premium labels that they let you try also.
Yeah, I'm not faulting cuervo for not making some good tequila, I'm faulting them for stooping to the level they have to make sure tequila is branded as gold swill :)
Jan 11, 2020. Jose Cuervo sucks isn't on the first page of Google. It's Time to do another one. Preferably a head to head with all the Cuervo products.
18 dollars for a bottle of liquor!? In Aus, both this and the "gold" are the same price ($39.95). At least I know which one to buy now between the two, despite apparently being ripped off for either...
Nom is your family name in French, I presume the same for Spanish. Your 1800 in the video is around 35E in France, which is.....well it is very good from what others pay close to here. In the supermarkets there is several 100% compared to the mixed rubbish, about 50/50, but the selection is small and none of it is amazing quality.
if it is the results of what I googled when I copy/pated in your quoted text, it returned a product that seems to be 100% de agave at least from the google results.
I've had tequila before, (the gold jose, just finished watching your rant video against it) and I thought it was alright, decided to get my own bottle. I know nothing about tequila, but recognized the name, so I just grabbed the clear kind, and I'm really enjoying it, so if it is 100% agave I guess that's why I am! And thanks for the quick response!
Nick DePanfilis the only real way to know, look at the bottle. It will say "100% de agave" or "100% blue agave" or "100% de blue weber" or something like that. If it says "100% tequila" that doesn't count and is marketing trickery.
Canada's watching :) I looked this up because I am apart of a booze exchange at work and the co-worker I got for the exchange loves tequila. I'm really not a liquor person, but when I do I prefer tequila or rum. This information was fantastic, I would usually buy Jose Cuervo Gold, just because it's the cheapest and most advertized. Now, I know when I buy for a fellow co-worker, I'm gunna take your advice and look for 100% agave and DEFINIETLY NOT BUY Jose Gold. If I find the tradicional I'll try it myself as well and buy as a gift :)
Yep, we got a good Canadian viewership across the channel. Many also purchase from our store and ship over to Canada. I think they're #2 against the US viewership (a far #2, but #2 just the same)
"if it says gold, like the steely dan album, it's not real taquila". I just bought a handle of Jose Cuervo that says "tradicional" on it, but is in fact gold colored, does not say "silver" on it, although it does say "100% de agave". This may be unusual or new, as it at least purports to be a release of "limited production" as it says on the bottle. Was your comment meant to be about that specific sugary Jose Cuervo gold or jose cuervo that is gold colored in general? As much as I respect your opinion, as far as taste goes I suppose I don't care what you say about it, but my concern for the health and morning after effects lead me to ask you to clarify in this point about Jose Cuervo gold. Actually, it would be awesome if you could just review it. Much thanks either way. I have enjoyed your videos.
Gold colored does not really own any real representation, as it's either barrel rested (and getting color off the barrels) or caramel color additive. The 100% de agave denotes which it is.
The bald guy reminds me of Hunter Thompson the way he moves I keep on expecting him to pull out a salt shaker full of coke and say this is what this tequila needs!! i chase my tequila with Corona so I like all Tequila.
I presumed you were British.....sorry, there are a few around Belfast I think if you are Irish, one nice town beside a river.........do not remember the name.

Just picked up a bottle today.Gonna drink some tonight
nice!
yeah, not too bad, before taxes and shipping is my guess, yes?
How does this compare to Jose Cuervo Tradicional Resposado?
tastes more like a repo vs. a silver...not sure how I can expand on that
NOM means "Norma Oficial Mexicana" (Mexican Standard)
The liquor store near my place sells gold Especial for couple of bucks more than silver tradicional! I bought the gold back then, not knowing it's bad!
Took a $39.00 bottle of Patron back to the supermarket for a $14.99 bottle of JC Tradicional....single best second guess!!!
whoah, you can return stuff like that!?
"Exchanged" for two bottles and paid the tax, liq license wouldn't allow a return. Still worth it!
M. Edward Johnson oh no doubt. But I figured it was an exchange or "store credit" or something :)
I like El Jimador for the agave taste, but it seems to vary in taste from bottle to bottle. Is this true?
Doubtful if they are all full fresh bottled
My local Wine and More sells the Silver for $15.99 and the Reposado for $17.99 here in WA. I use the Reposado for Margaritas and the Silver for everything else.
Just as good as Patron Silver and a better bargain

can you do a review on Olmeca Altos
Thanks again for the reviews I picked up all your reviews from October and no complaints thanks again

That's insane! i thought it was bad in Canada with Patron silver costing $80-90 CAD. Are your prices on whisky, rum or vodka also so high?
Here in NC it goes for 20.95 for 750 ml and the Reposado is 21.95
Where is he from in New Jersey? I'm from there originally.
Dude, you can get that one in a 500ml bottle, much the same as the original for around 12 GBP around London.

The cheap Jose Cuervo is what we were drinking in High School in the middle of football fields at night. LOL
I was wondering if you could do a review video on el ultimo agave tequila I'm hearing good things but I'd like to hear your thoughts on it. Thanks
never heard of it myself, if they ever contact me to review it and can get a bottle to me I would.
I seen it in Asda, I am sure you live close enough to one to have a scan through the isles.
well, in contrast to myself, you may be able to say that about many people :)
There's a brand here in México that it's great, it's called Destilador, it's super cheap considering the taste(only $96 pesos)
taxes included, and shipping is 5.90 € within Austria, so that's OK.
Yes!
Jan 11, 2020. Jose Cuervo sucks isn't on the first page of Google. It's Time to do another one. Preferably a head to head with all the Cuervo products.
I'm not investing that type of cash sorry

in Aus everything is expensive :)
I don't think we have Asda in my country...
Do you think sipping tequila numbs your brain and makes you ramble
Peter does not look very comfortable in front of camera.
any better? ruclips.net/video/ylzILIjxZiY/видео.html
I recently got Topanito Reposado in germany. Pretty good for 20€ a liter
Nom is your family name in French, I presume the same for Spanish.

lol the caching sound from ebay . heaven on earth .
What about "Blue Agave Silver" ?
if it is the results of what I googled when I copy/pated in your quoted text, it returned a product that seems to be 100% de agave at least from the google results.

Try (El Centenario) tequila bottle and review it

Which would require me to fly to London...
run that 1800 through a few filters it would be good to go lol
Especial's colour is like an olive oil.
nice
This tequila is amaze balls
Enjoy this with Fresca soda
Nothing like STR8 ShoTs.
Any other channels like this around?

$35.95 here in ontario for 750 ml
You should try monte alban Mezcal
I should have looked this all up :/
Thanks for the info!
Yeah, seems even Sierra has a real product. But the non 100% Sierra smells and tastes like rubbing alcohol...
Got myself a bottle of Cuervo Tradicional Gold today love I've tried especial silver and gold and tried patron
I'm not too picky
pour your especial and silver down the drain, it's not good stuff :)
I Got Tradicional Saturday good stuff
This is so relaxing to watch lol as a tequila lover I’m like yaaaaas hahahaha
ha, yes :) I have enough tequila, I don't need that much effort :)
The bald guy reminds me of Hunter Thompson the way he moves I keep on expecting him to pull out a salt shaker full of coke and say this is what this tequila needs!! i chase my tequila with Corona so I like all Tequila.
+Cold Duck lol, oddly enough, you're not the first to say that.
AWESOME VID!!
Thanks
I presumed you were British.....sorry, there are a few around Belfast I think if you are Irish, one nice town beside a river.........do not remember the name.
Lol I get a bottle twice the size 30 bucks
xD
If I was british I probably wouldn't have given the price in € in my first comment. I'm Austrian.
Had to go back and find the old video...turns I might have the silver variety but it's still the crappy tequila. Glad I don't make much with it.
mail it to me lol
