I found this show to be actually heartbreaking at times. (Ms Casey’s probable demise is a particular example) Its truly an empty and depressing life for the innies. This made the ending and the entire experience more meaningful. Loved it.

Adam is a talented actor. I don't think he gets enough credit.

There's surprisingly a lot of humor in Severance and it's the best type. If humor gets to be too heavy handed it takes away the realism.
A funny moment that comes to mind off the cuff is when they play outtie Burts retirement video and his goofy spiel.
There's things I find funny that others don't, like after Helly does her stint in the break-room and she's looking all frazzled and Mark asks how many times... and she says 1072 in such a way to where she has little left. I laugh every-time. I theorize there are several break-room punishments/activities and the reciting statement one is the only one we've been let in on thus far. It's certainly punishment and the repetition and boredom of it would begin to test my sanity (it reminds me of certain scenarios that most of us have to go through when we're children), but not so bad that I can't laugh at it. Melodramatic isn't the right word, because I'd be drained as well, but there's something intangible about it that cuases me to laugh out loud everytime. But I'm just scratching the surface. There's a bunch of humor that goes along with Rickon and it all works, which is not an easy feat. While all the castings are amazing, the Rickon casting would be significantly different with someone else and I theorize if a different actor a lot of that humor wouldn't come through. There's a lot of humor with Cobell/Selvig as well.
The brother sister back and forth banter is excellent as well. It's more of a brother sister humor for each other than it is for the audience, which gives it a lot of realism. I'm not sure if their brother sister childhood relationship are memory implants at this point, but it would have the same/similar result nonetheless and I buy that they're close siblings. I adore Devon as being such a good sister. And for whatever reason I just knew that the Mark/Devon brother sister relationship was at least partially based on Stiller and his sister (I didn't even know Stiller had a sister, but something along the way caused me to piece this together) and at 32:55 in this video it confirmed it for me.

This is my favorite show probably ever (or best first seasons of any show, but premise wise as well) and I've watched over 100 of the top rated tv show series over the last 25 years (or to play it safe it's tied among 3-5 shows) and I'm super picky about what I put in the good, great and excellent category with this obviously being in the excellent category ... ya know
I'm certainly prone to using repetition words probably worse than anyone, but ya know is definitely the word of the hour
