I love this movie! And it is has one of my favorite scores, ever! This and the Legend of Zorro (Both great Antonio movies) have phenomenal musical scores. Absolutely moving and pure genius!
this music has always taken my breath away...To put it simply. It is a song that should never be disturbed, nor changed in anyway shape or form than form this guitar.
Antonio Banderas is my favourite actor. I wanted to grow up and be just like him when I was I kid... I watched Desperado alot when I was a child. Love the films and the music!
@@jayfisher3359 Personally I think Once Upon a Time in Mexico is better than Desperado, but I still prefer El Mariachi. Of course I'm a big Alita Battle Angel fan as well.
@OPIHIMAN678 nylon strings dont necessarily mean its classical. its a mexican flamenco guitar, its a lot lighter, the body is a lot shallower than a classical.
@birsic3216 In all 3, it's supposed to be the same character, only that Antonio Banderas took up the role in Desperado. It's a trilogy: El Mariachi, Desperado, Once Upon a Time in Mexico. Same character (El Mariachi), different actor.
Good opening scene. This film has a nice mexican/western feeling, thats why Ilike the Mariachi-trilogy, and I know some people don't like OUATIM film, but I think it's not a bad movie. I love when the title appear at 1:47 and the music ges play.
@HeartKiddBreak When El takes the guitar he plays "Malagueña Salerosa" (which by the way has a powerful cover by "Chingon" - Robert Rodriguez' band - on "Kill Bill part 2" soundtrack), than the orchestra kicks in and what you hear is "Once Upon a Time in Mexico - Main Titles" - a score which no doubt is based on Malagueña Salerosa. Mind you, it is not to be found on the "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" soundtrack, however it is available on "Mexico & Mariachis".
Bad guy: I've heard that this is a town of gunslingers. 1st Guitarmaker: We only make guitars here, sir. Bad guy: Mariachi... 2nd guitarmaker: Which? Bad guy: THE [Mariachi].
OMG this guitar songs are just amazing, i didn't think this movis is such a great movie, today i watched this again and again, so cooL. So many amazing actors and actresses. Also Johnny Depp is just no words!
Opening credit sequence's seems to be a lost art in films these days. The Nightmare On Elm St. remake is the only movie in recent memory I can think of that had a good one.
Автору ролика спасибо с Новым Годом это очень сильная мелодия Родригес Хаиек Дэни Трэхо Бандерас вы просто супер Мексика Вива Мексика Вива молодцы это страна певцов и танцоров
i just wonder how his character learned to play again because before he couldnt press the strings from the gunshot (if youve never seen desperado you wont know what that means)
@Axarno123 I thought it's a Robert Rodriguez film when Quentin Tarantino has some kind of role in it. I like how they are good friends and work in each other's movies.
@13chinaski At first, i was like...hehe error. But then i remembered the context of the scene. Albaro, the maker of the guitar doesn't know how to play it. Which is why he asks El Mariachi to play it. The error was intentional, to give you a feeling for the scene if you don't speak spanish. He pretend to play it as he is walking. XD Almost got me there!
Not not Rodriguez's strongest movie, but it certainly has it's moments. This opening is definitely one of them. The music is fantastic!

this is so perfect!i am living for moments like this! also the whole movie was excellent!
yeah, we don't really get anymore like these anymore though
this scene and generally this movie is the reason I started playing the guitar way back then
There are songs that leave us speechless ... without response .. for me this is one of them ...
I love this scene, the best in this movie... Beautiful!
Antonio Banderas is my favourite actor. I wanted to grow up and be just like him when I was I kid... I watched Desperado alot when I was a child. Love the films and the music!

A movie with both Antonio Banderes and Enrique Iglesias is a 10 in my books
This is a grat scene with great music.... I love this scene

this inspired me to play the guitar.. and I can play this too now:P
I saw this scene randomly like 12 years ago and still come back to it
i simply love this movie !
I love the cinematography in this film, but I just think the story was a bit of a letdown. It's such a gorgeous film to look at though.
Rodriguez peaked with Desperado and never managed to come close.
Nah, it took the original story to 11, fantastic sequel in all aspects.
@@jayfisher3359 you're insane.

One of the hardest scenes ever the music that look classic
on my money, one of the best main titles sequences of the past 30 years.
Antonio looks so cool in this*). Great all out for fun entertaining film.
*) As does Salma :-)
@Xemptuous thanks. it wasnt on the soundtrack and the version that was wasn't the opening bit. weird.

Something that's always confused me... How come after Desperado, where his hand was screwed, he can suddenly play guitar again?! Love this film.
He went to kamar taj and studied metaphysical healing
is antonio acting as el mariachi in this movie cause he looks the same as he did in desperado
My favorite movie :D
