That face! Holy shit, so handsome & adorable. And I love sheltie ears - they wave to you as they go past. They're wonderful dogs. We have an 8 yr. old.
Ghoopty - yes! I've had 2 Shelties in the past and looking for that perfect breeder for a puppy now. Those first 8 weeks are so important you know, and there are too many people breeding dogs for the wrong reasons! It drives me crazy when I see Shelties with prick ears. It takes away from that sweet expression. I don't know if it's just that people aren't told how to help 'train' puppy ears by (so-called) breeders if they need help, or people are just ignorant of the standard for ear carriage. Worse though is when people that shouldn't have a thinking, work loving dog, and they get a Sheltie who lives a boring life. But Yes, I love Shelties.... Every bit of them!
I have my fifth Sheltie after having collies as a child. Mine has me so well trained that I have to have her permission to get up from my recliner, because she camps under my footrest.🥴🤭 My rescue Shelties have been simply wonderful! I recommend contacting your state’s Sheltie rescue shelter.
Your puppy actually sparkles with beauty and intelligence! I lost my 14 year old sheltie in October. This video has really cheered me up, and I love the music too!
@@hermittanimoto9325 You are very lucky your Sheltie lived to a ripe old age. I lost my sweet Sheltie two weeks after her 11th birthday from Bone Cancer. She was in extreme pain. I think about her all the time and miss her terribly. RIP my Wendy Girl!
@@gtpcruiser02 My first sheltie when a child lived to 10 yrs old, you never want them to go, but the life span of bigger dogs isnt even 10 yrs often. My condolence, they leave a big empty hole in ones life.

If a Sheltie puppy could write a song, these lyrics would fit (except for the ugly as a toad line, Shelties know they're cute). Sheltie puppies are pure Potential and my dogs were brilliant. Successful in breed, obedience, agility, herding and therapy, my one Sheltie and I became 22nd nationally in obedience, easily. Don't Ever get a Sheltie if you're not prepared to Exercise their Brain as much as their busy bodies! And if ears become a problem when young, please help them to grow properly. I hate that pricked ear look on that sweet face. Make all training fun, and start Early! A Sheltie mind is a terrible thing to waste!

The (his) veterinarian called this morning and my boy Grape Nehi has been under a hold tag since late June; they are finally sending him to be cremated; my kidz met in 2001 & Sheeba left in 2014 so this is the longest they've been apart since they met; RIP kidz dad will see all 12 of you at the bridge and I may be bringing some more. Why do you people feel the need to ruin wonderful puppy footage with awful music? Every time I click on a dog vid it's always some Jack Johnson or some bad Joanna Newsom wannabe crap. Do you or anyone think that is more appealing than the sounds a puppy makes?
mynie - I took the song a completely different way. As stated in a prior comment, I believe this song is so perfect in personifying the Sheltie personality, with exception to the ugly as a toad line. Sheltie puppies are born with such potential, and most are enthusiastic about learning anything you may want to teach them, providing you train with consistency and joy. So all the descriptives in the song are to me, affectionately accurate. And though I'd never heard it before, I think the song is kinda cute anyway. Can't help loving Shelties!!!

I feel your pain lost mine this spring the same week as my birthday...15.3 year old...their longevity makes them awesome with good genes.
We lost ours six years ago. Still miss her. Was a joy to have.
