The fact in the data books in the manga Sayo the child who said "that monster" means the demon, they thought it was Gyomei. correct me if im wrong.
Ye but the demon vaporized erasing the only evidence while sayo was too traumatized, understandably so, to speak of the events properly.
Let me explain a bit. In the movie, we can clearly hear the Japanese spoken by four-year-old Sayo. In this conversation, there is no second person pronoun like 'he' or 'him' mentioned, nor is anyone specifically identified as the culprit. The child is simply too panicked, not trying to frame Gyomei

I think it's a bit more impactful that they extended his appearance to the ubuyashiki mansion. Like yeah it was cool to just see him show up in the manga, but this is amazing as well. It also let's it sit in that he's finally here.
Did it have to be that long? Probably not. But it's a great ass entrance.
The slow walk was designed to be impactful due to Muzan being the only Demon to be capable of walking through that Demon Repellent Flower Barrier. I forget the name and spelling of the flower...but there's a reason they referenced and linked it to Gyomi's story earlier on in the episode. This was all laid out quite well actually, so it all made sense Objectively.

OMG, my heart broke listening to Gyomei's backstory...I'm 16, and if I was Sayo's age, I wouldn't have told the police that. I would've said the truth---That the demon attacked and Gyomei is the hero. When I was a kid, I was very sweet and caring. I always told the truth. And I got easily attached to people who cared about me. The fact that there are kids out there who actually have the guts to lie about the person who saved you is horrible.
