Sarah Jane I sure hope you gave that Harley tourist your business card or a sticker with your RUclips channel ! He's now a STAR and will be recognized by your millions of followers when they see him.
You have heard, Don't Mess With TEXAS...The other known fact is - Do not mess with Jesus in Texas!
LOL so many people misunderstand what right wing people stand for. Just because we love our guns and go target shooting and fly an American flag and live in Texas doesnt mean we have anything against Peace or 420 We just call BS when needed on certain situations and have enough common sense to know when "someone" is pissin on our boots and calling it a rainstorm! I am a right side girl and love to watch Wonderhussy videos!
Me too!!
@@williamjenkins9 me too
Did you know that the majority of her followers are right wing folks? All the way from the extreme to the moderate right, but most are on the extreme side. I'd conservatively estimate it at around 80%.
Personally, have both left and right views so I guess I'm the oddball of the bunch. And I know darned well when someone is pissing on my boots and telling me it's just rain.
I also know when someone is trying to sell me a miracle elixir that will keep me from dying (or trying to make me take it)
You cannot simultaneously admire war and the people who fight it and love the Prince of Peace at the same time..... It is literally a contradiction in terms and complete hypocrisy
Wonderhussy's Grand Pre-eclipse Tour is proving to be a total success. A real treasure trove. Love your tales Sarah. ❤❤😎
I thought she quit.
Two of the dates I recognized in your video
12-8-80 the date of John Lennon's assassination.
11-22-63 the date of John F Kennedy's assassination.
Some of the others moved by a little too quickly.
One of the dates shown was 9-11-2001
said the same thing but had not seen your post yet.
I was in 3rd grade for the John Kennedy thing watching on TV and the other John, I was in a dump truck working when the death announcement was being told to all of us everywhere.
Kennedy once said, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." He was a slave master at heart and wanted everyone giving to make a bigger more controlling federal government. He was getting people killed in Vietnam and starting wars just like Biden is doing. Typical control freak democrat. Glad Oswald ended it before it got any worse.
google: patriot peace park.
Great video. Especially the biker from Switzerland. Safe travels.
My dad left the panhandle of Texas in 1927 he always said it's a good place to be from thanks wonder hussy
1927???? My dad was BORN then and I'm old.... daym
Haha. I've met a lot of people from Texas. They are always quick to let you know that. Makes me wonder why so many people leave.
@@e13m10 my dad was born in 1916
Origins. In 1971, five high school students in San Rafael, California, used the term "4:20" in connection with a plan to search for an abandoned cannabis crop, based on a treasure map made by the grower. CALIFORNIA Penal code 420 has nothing to do with cannabis.
You should have went inside the cafe. They are known for their incredible fried baloney sandwiches. I rode my motorcycle to this exact midpoint spot last year. The water tower was where a giant truck stop used to be
a lot of effort was put into this display... moreover, it seems to be respected as it is clean, well-maintained, and free of graffiti... Impressive!
Using cut metal kind of makes it impervious to graffiti...
@henrytowne7463
'Impressive'
Not really, when you consider the type of person who visits.
Two dates side by side, one was Pearl Harbor and Hiroshima. Another was building the World Trade Center and 9-11 when the planes flew. Each pair seems to mean the start and the end of something - wars? Thanks for the video. Jon
Cafe Motel was very common back in the 50s and 60s before the interstate
Every 30 miles you would have a motel and diner
It is sad seeing these in this state of decay
😢😢😢
Historical factoid: Gestas was on a cross on the left of Jesus and Dismas was on the right had side of Jesus. Just a bit of information that people may be interested in.
Thank you for sharing the ☮ park.
I love everything about that place.
If Alaska were divided by two, Texas would be the third largest state
I love you, Wonderhussy! Please do a video about the wild horses!
I'm sitting here in New Zealand getting ready for a trip to the big old USA especially to fulfill a lifelong dream of riding route 66 on a HD . I only found you a couple of months ago just by luck while researching the route and have been totally entertained and educated . The travel information I have got from your vids is worth its weight in gold. Man ! wouldn't it be amazing if I bumped into you. That would certainly be the high light of my trip. Cheers.
Wow that’s do cool, hope you have a great time here in the US, be safe ☮️
Giant old timey windmill....like the one James Dean sat on in the film "Giant." Which was filmed in...drum roll....Texas.
"
Thanks for the tour. Keep the videos coming!
LOVE LOVE your Rte 66 reports,,,,, GREAT JOB,, Thanks
On Feb 7, 1964 @ 1:20 p.m. the Beatles landed @ JFK airport
oh....
Beatles fans.
On December 25, 1964 @ 2:14 pm I landed in a hospital in central Ohio!
And ruined American music
Yep, I think ed Sullivan show was Feb 9, 1964. I'm old enough to have seen it.
There are so many interesting places in America, thanks Wonderhussy for making great videos to share them with everyone.
Hello Wonder!
Thank YOU Sarah AKA "Wonderhussy " for sharing your world and Film Camera...
Interesting... Glenrio is in both Texas and New Mexico. They list it as archeological site.
It is "The Stoner Patriot Peace Garden of All Faiths". Just an interesting art installation. The dates are historic dates like 9/11, Challenger Explosion, Lennon Shot, Civil Rights Signed, etc.
Thanks ... I wasn't successful with "google guessing".
I graduated form an Iowa high school in 1970. After a lovely career or two, I'm retired and have returned to my hippy ways in weed legal Oregon. All of the stuff in the peace park is really meaningful to people my age. Enchanting.
I remember as a kid circa 1969, 70 folk guitar masses with peace signs everywhere and tie dye shirts. The two finger 'V' for peace was just a popular as Spock's Vulcan greeting from Star Trek.
Yeah, man.
🎉❤🎉
Too bad. Wasting your time and money. Try something new
lol sorry for you weed head im retired to
There's been massive solar winds blasting earth, from corona mass ejections...so the winds are stronger
🌞🌬🌬🌬🌎don't git blown away!
Hemp hemp hurrah for Fo'twenny!☮️
Super cool and interesting video!
Enjoy watching your videos I learned so much from them thanks so much❤
You do need to brush up on your bible stories WH! The diorama of Jesus lying under the cross was him falling beneath the weight of his burden. The two men hanging on the cross next to Jesus were thieves. One repented before dying, the other was rebellious till the bitter end. The gift shop when I was there had an awesome full size replica of the "Shroud of Turin"....a fascinating place to be sure!
What a really Kool place thanks for showing us safe travels
Awesome video!!!!
You are cutting a grand trail all over !!! OK city !!! And you are not afraid to stop ! You are a Wonder… Sara…
Nice 4Runner !!
Wonderhussy's video journalism is the best!! Enjoy!
Great video Sarah. I have been going by all of the locations in this video for years. But never stopped. But I did stop at the leaning water tank back when it still had the gas station. I was only about ten years old then.
We all should recognize 9-11-2001. I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I saw on the news... And 12-7-1941 was when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. I guess all those signs are of important dates in history. I haven't googled anything, I just recognize those two dates.
What a fantastic video, Sara! Meeting that guy from Switzerland who seemed to be a cool dude. That hippie shrine was a trip. And unusual to see here in Texas for sure. Some of these places I already seen on a RUclips channel called "Through my lens" a few years back. Thanks so much for sharing with us. Really enjoyed this one, and you were funny. Don't pee in a field again here in Texas.
The Peace sign originally stood for SANE, stop all nuclear explosions. An organization started by Bertrand Russell.
The peace symbol is actually the semaphore code for ND or nuclear Disarmament
No nukes! Became "no nuclear power!" In America, now the US is fifty years behind the rest of the world in nuclear energy production. Green party eradicated true green energy.
Yup. Ti's true. I learned semaphore in school when was 8 or 9 'cos the teachers thought it would challenge my mind which was causing them problems.. They couldn't do semaphore but they had cards. Lame.
CND or Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament was the organization that first used Houltons design. That was in Great Britain in the late 50’s. It eventually was used by the Civil Rights movement in America and then as a general sign for peace and the major antiwar symbol to protest the war in Vietnam.
Nice boots girl. You cover a lot different things.@millwrightrick1
While on your NM explorations, a fun side trip is to pull off of I-40 and go South at Santa Rosa to Fort Sumner to check out the Billy the Kid museum and grave.
Who remembers the giant PEACE ☮️ SIGN on sunrise mountain in Vegas.
Early 70s
Hey!!! I do !!! I went to Eldorado high school when it opened until I graduated in 76, remember the giant E?
Love these Texas videos! Are you going to check out El Capitan in Guadalupe national park while you’re here? It amazing, highly recommended!
Howdy Sarah! Was that Bullwinkle on the wall? Love the journey! Thanks for sharing, Stay safe!
I've been near there. I have to go north when I reach the Texas state line though until I can go into oklaheemus because of warrants in texas. No matter if I'm heading west or east, I have to make a big c shaped detour up around the panhandle or its the slammer.
God bless wonder hussy good cometary! Thanks a million
I have driven past there a few times and never even knew this was there. Thanks for sharing, Sarah.
You find the coolest places! Be careful of the spring tornado season in your travels!!!😮it's gonna be a tornado record breaking season.
U need a glass screen protector next time xx
I had me Sandy with a side of baked beans and a Busch!
Should have stopped at the old restored Conoco station in Shamrock TX. Very cool art deco.
My giggle for the day; " My name is Bwian" !! There was "some curfuffle" when that film came out.
When the Okies moved to California Will Rogers said it was the only time in history that a migration raised the IQ of both states.
@jamescampbell9533 California is 14% of US GDP and 12% of the population. On average Californians are about 17% more productive than the US average.
@@rockingredpoppy9119those numbers cover dust bowl years?
@rockingredpoppy9119 you might want to recheck those numbers, sounds like you are basing everything off of the population, which doesn't make sense when saying they are more productive.
except california is the least productive state in the union go read about its actually quite disturbing when you read the facts and begin figuring out why california is so unproductive
Wonder Hussey, you’re amazing👍🌹👨🏻🦳🌹👎
Great 🇺🇸 stuff 🇺🇸 as always 🇺🇸 👍
I like all your videos !
Another great video of your life and times.
Oh damn! Your phone takes such a beating!!!😢 Thanks!
Someday you have to make it to Florida lots of quirky stuff here. Safe travels

You missed Slug Bug Ranch at the next exit from the Leaning Water Tower. Awesome Video!
Can't wait to host you at Goldwell Open Air Museum next weekend!

Pretty good place for thought an love Imagine that is when Lola Christine is singing using the very luvly sound of the Hand Pan really brings Joy soothing feeling
Duck, get down, run away! Hussy! We don't want you to get cancer.😊
Thank you 🌹🌹🌹
Awesome video Sarah
Nice vid wh
Oh Sara you missed the super clean restroom ..it is remarkable!
WH, maybe you can pick up a tripod while you are getting your screen fixed. Something more secure than leaning it against a random stick.
I have lived in Tx my entire life, a couple hrs from Dallas, and been to and through Amarillo more times than I can count and didn't know these things existed...great video!!
Texas is pretty straight. It’s like saying. I’m old I’m grumpy and get off of my lawn ! But I love my state but I think Texas needs to loosen their collars a bit with the weed thing. Nice video as usual. I love how you put them together. Stay safe stay healthy
Holy Crap, I and my brother and Parents DROVE All the way from southern il. towing a travel trailer behind a 1957 Chevy ,to San Fransico and back. All on Route 66. I fell in love with Corvettes on that trip. Still have one....
Why does everyone think that Route 66 ends in Los Angeles? route 66 ends at the Pacific Palisades near the Santa Monica pier in Santa Monica California.
That’s basically LA to everyone else. 🤷🏻♂️
You and I know better but most people around the country don't know those areas of California. Everybody knows of Los Angeles and so that's how that came about.
I passed through those parts of New Mexico in Texas many times on my way to and from Maryland. Beautiful landmarks and always interesting pieces of Americana.
Thanks to the Beatles I got my first guitar in 1964. I was 8 yrs old. Still playing. It kept me out of a lotta trouble and got me into a little. Lol. Good vid Sarah!
You do great at entertaining people you're such a character never give up your job when I see even if you get bored you make everything totally fun to watch
People are like animals. They go somewhere fresh, and prosper for a while. Once that land is worn down, they go someplace else.
THANKS!
Hussy.....YOU never age!🕶
Hi good morning I going to watch your video now !
Having Mac and cheese and a chicken sandwich with sour cream ! 😀💏
awesome ...
very well done WonderHussy ❤😊
There is a nearly 200ft tall cross at Effingham IL (it looks surprisingly like the one in your vid). Thanks for sharing your road trip!
I'm glad you got your screen fixed. (Because you're making more videos...)
❤i love this.
Very informative I enjoy your videos all your fun sense of humor, positive energy. I’m sure you know this the wooden windmill was used as a water pump pump in the ground and the windmill pump the water usually into a water tank, but I’m sure you knew that thank you again for all your fun. It really helps out in tough times.
Shame about the cracked screen. Enjoyed the peace park. Very interesting
I admire your free spirit and ability to travel and not nailed down to a job ! lol ! By this time you are in Oklahoma ! Welcome and Enjoy my beautiful home state ! don't forget to stop at Pops in Arcardia and see the large pop bottle and the thousands of brands of sodas , kinda of cool
Thank you!
... YES ,, American History with the Hussy ... Plenty of info on the Peace Park on the 'ol NET ...
It looked like a dust bowl heading across Texas to the eclipse, nice mural and silos at the midpoint.
17:45 You have to wonder how many hussys have gotten up there to table dance for The Last Supper.
You rock
That leaning tower was a truck stop many, many years ago.
As with the"leaning tower of Pisa" and the leaning water tower.....non union labor.🤣😂
Thanks another good video..Be careful going into abandoned buildings .Saw a video of an abandoned house the hole wall was a big bee hive. The person was stung to death!
St. Christopher is the Patron Saint of travelers/truckers. The Stations of the Cross only represent moments during the Crucifixion. I think we were witnessing dueling ideologies at that Peace Memorial. The Pro-Military, Pro-American installations honoring service were added on adjacent property by other groups. Same with anything specifically Christian. The Peace Sign was specifically for nuclear disarmament, with the center line being the semaphore signal for the letter D. The slanted lines are the 'N" in semaphore.
The gift shop woulda been a hoot. Big Jesus!
It’s a Kregel windmill. I love them
That water tower.. there used to be a truck stop there.
The huge cross.. at night it is well lit and when it’s foggy.. it looks really cool.
Never knew what the reference in the Rolling Stones song to Mid point meant until now. Thanks WH.
