I felt the same way when I started therapy. I realized a lot of things about myself. I took a year to reflect on my life and my values. I began praying more to see if God could guide me towards truth and purpose. After 2 years of therapy and healing prayer I understand my purpose and want to share the love that I have with others. There is so much darkness in this world that it's my responsibility to share the light. You are more than your hair, your skin, your clothes, or your body. You have a soul that makes you who you are. "Love your neighbor as you love yourself" - we have a responsibility to love each other as we love ourselves. This will bring us true peace. But we can't love each other if we don't love ourselves first. We don't need money, fame, beauty, or even food shelter or health to love others. Simply being there is enough. I'll leave you this quote on love, because God is love: "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
buddha and almost every mayor world religion says that life is fundamentally struggle.. struggle to survive, struggle to blend in, struggle to get out of bed sometimes. Struggle with whats the right thing to do, friends, familly, career you name it. the idea is to learn to imbrace the struggle as a friend and get "comfortable" within the bad times, so that you learn and grow stronger to be able to take more of what life throws at you. if you are a scientist its called survival of the fittest, either way nature is not forgiving haha. btw, i think this is some of your best work ;p
Thank you very much! When you mentally see the beauty in yourself and still have this lingering imposter syndrome that tells you about body dysmorphia, you should accept the resulting feeling, BUT don't attach thoughts to that feeling. There was a time in my life where I was triggered everywhere I was walking, and I couldn't stop the shame on myself. The trick was to not try stopping the feeling by looking out for solutions with your thoughts. Accept the bad feeling, be with it, allow it, and then it slowly dissolves. Don't bully yourself because you were bullied by someone of social status. Every habit has momentum and, through time, either gets stronger or weaker. About falling and getting caught. Learn to trust the universe or your surrounding environment. Count your blessings to see that the universe's hands are always around you.
for every sequence of a good week that brought about a new week, maybe not the best week, it's something that's hard to escape isn't it? was always my understanding, even when a bad week leads on to another bad week. stay strong Liz, I mean you are already exercising that + the resolve, and like you say, no one's alone with their feelings

A for effort, but I am here not for fixing myself and trying to find more therapists, but for showing nobody is alone with their feelings.
