There should be at least 50 bands in this Top 10. Black Sabbath, The Animals, Dire Straits, Iron Maiden, The Police, The Jam, Cream, Derek and the Dominos, The Clash, Happy Mondays, The Sex Pistols, The Cure, Blur, Procol Harum, The Smiths, The Sweet, Judas Priest, The Spencer Davis Group, The Moody Blues, Massive (Attack), The Specials, Roxy Music, Madness, Simple Minds, Gorillaz, The Stranglers, etc.
The Buzzcocks, Wire, the Fall
The Small Faces, David Bowie, Donovan, Joy Division, Public Image Ltd, Siouxsie and the Banshees, New Order, Suede, Pulp, My Bloody Valentine, The Verve, Manic Street Preachers
Edit: this is just a list of great British bands, not just rock bands.
Depeche Mode, Nazareth
I would argue that a lot of these bands aren’t rock bands though. All are definitely worth a listen to, and you could definitely create a top 50 of great rock bands from the UK
I never understand how Wings never get mentioned. Not purely rock, but they could.
T-Rex are incredibly British
You’re safer to assume a band is British unless you know for certain they are definitely not
The British invasion started in the early 1960's. Up until the 1990's British musicians made up somewhere between 30 and 40 percent of the American pop charts. And when it comes to what we now call "classic rock" they pretty much dominated the 1970's.
Children of the revolution😜
In the genre of rock, that's absolutely correct.
Yes! And, mainly because so many of them sing in fake American accents...i.e. they're pretending to be something that they are not. Plain phoney nonsense.

I was seeing a British guy who one day showed me a family photo..was pointing out family members and said "and of course, that's Uncle Jimmy" - and it was Jimmy Page. My jaw didn't drop; it nearly fell off! Loved Led Zep as a teenager..Immigrant Song my favourite.
Check out the performance of Immigrant Song by The Band From Far Away.
My wife's uncle knows Robert Plant well enough to call him Bob
Everyone is born into a family. I'm friends with a Trump, an actual bona fide Trump, closely related to Donald. It happens.
I once bought Division Bell in a Sam Goody's in San Francisco and upon hearing my English accent the assistant asked where i was from. I just pointed at the album cover and said, "There" Then watched his jaw hit the floor. He was a huge Floyd fan and you'd think he just met Syd Barratt

If I could see any band ever ever ever live it’d be Queen. Freddie was a bloody legend
Queen is still around - with other musicians on keybord/piano, bass and drums. Roger still play the drums and sings , and Brian May on the ‘Red Special’ and singing. Since 2011 their fromtman have been Adam Lambert. They are still touring the. world.
I am lucky to have seen many bands but Queen at Wembley Stadium in 1986 was the best band I have ever seen live. They literally were fantastic and Freddie was every bit the best performer by far! The crowd interaction and engagement was incredible and you had the feeling that they were performing because they enjoyed doing it and they were doing it for you, not just because it was their job. It was a very unique experience.
Yeah seen em live.. we wouldn’t let em off the stage🤣🤣.. they sang .. Liar.. could’ve heard a pin drop too! Bloody amazing!
This good fellow should do those calming audio things that you get on planes. With his voice, there'd never be any nervous flyers anywhere in the world ever again! So good.
Omg totally. I don't usually like these Reaction type things, but maaaan, what a mellow, considered voice. I like listening to and watching these when I'm cleaning 🙂
He could be reading his shopping list for all I care, I'd still listen to his calming voice.
ASMR would be wonderful ❤️
Hehe - I agree - his voice is lovely, so different from some of the hyperactive loud nature of these types of react videos. Just goes to show, less is more. So soothing - I subscribed on that basis alone!
@@LauraNixon1 "Considered voice". That's such a lovely - and perfect - phrase.
Britain has always been the centre of the music universe,if you don't make it here you haven't made it 🇬🇧
I would't say "always". In our life-time, yes, but who was in Britain during the time of Beethoven and Mozart ?
@@andreaseufinger4422I agree to a point that the 18th century was a bit of a dry spot, except for Handel at its close, but the 16th,17th,19th &20th have all been quite well represented by musicians from our isles.
@@andreaseufinger4422 there was an british musician around at tge same time infact he played with Beethoven he was called George Bridgetower. 😊
You might be right but the bulk of the best British music was a while ago now. I'm British and I love British music but I was heavily influenced by American music being born in 83 and most of my favourite music has come out of America
@@andreaseufinger4422
Can you paste their lyrics?
Robert Burns laughs at Beethoven and Mozart 🤣
The Police should be in that top 10, way more influential (and bigger) than Oasis amongst others. Stewart Copeland is widely regarded as top 3 all time pop/rock drummer, Sting’s career is astonishing and Andy Summers completely nailed a chorused Fender sound that was then repeated by tons of bands in the 80s for hit after hit.
Possibly because one member is American

Queen is hands down my number 1 always

and mine.
I see why Beatles is 1st... but Queen only at 4th?! Mad World!
Black Sabbath, ELO, Supertramp, Fleetwood Mac, The Small Faces, Slade, Sweet, Sex Pistols, The Clash, The Stranglers, The Smiths, The Specials, Iron Maiden, Depeche Mode, Madness, Blur, Ocean Colour Scene, The Animals, The Hollies, Coldplay, The Police, Elvis Costello, The Bee Gees, Judas Priest, Motorhead, David Bowie, Elton John, Rod Stewart, Eric Clapton and Stevie Winwood in their various incarnations together and apart in bands such as The Yardbirds, Spencer Davis Group, Traffic, Blind Faith and Cream...Just a few of the top of my head.
And just to annoy any Australians reading this🙃...of the 6 main members of AC/DC 5 were British.
Ocean Colour Scene? LOL
@@lofi-guy We all have our own tastes but "LOL" to OCS is one I find surprising. Have you ever listened to them ?
@@paulhanson5164 Yes, you are right, we do. I used to hear them quite a bit during my student days, a couple of friends liked them. They are harmless enough, I suppose. Very regressive. TBH we could list band names forever. But maybe someone might google one or two, and get into them, which is a good thing innit, guv.
@@lofi-guy People mentioning artists they think worthy of a mention is how I've found a few artists online that I now love. So I do the same.
I bought some terrible albums back in the 70s and 80s based on good reviews and hearing a track or two by a band that I liked.
Tbh the mojo list seems more like the most famous British bands... I feel blur are much better than oasis, the consistency is there with blur, oasis fell off after morning glory and there's a good handful of bands that could go over Oasis... Elo, dire straits, the jam...
How did black sabbath not make the list should be at least top 6 especially for their longevity
Black Sabbath easily over Deep Purple
@@GrimlyFandangototally agree
If Black Sabbath made it, then Iron Maiden and Whitesnake should of as well...
I would guess simply because it’s a “Brit rock” list, and Sabbath are the godfathers of Metal.
I’d 100% put them in there though. Especially over the likes of Radiohead and Oasis
Sabbath are Metal
The Kinks are a cruelly underrated band. So many great songs outside of the obvious ones like Lola, Waterloo Sunset, etc.
nah they are a bit shite and old fashioned, m8
@@papalaz4444244 yeah the sixties were old fashioned. That’s why we called them the 1960s and not the 2020s.
What? London is in England??
Waterloo Sunset is my all time favourite song. There is just something about it!
They aren't underrated unless you're a div
Mick Jagger at the age of 80 not only did rock n roll but also danced on stage while singing.
That’s nothing because Keith Richard’s didn’t join till he was 214 yrs old, still a bern
It’s hard to make a top 10, because there will always be unfair exclusions. In my opinion, Dire Straits should be there.
Maybe they didn't sell their souls like all the rest
@@katharinereynolds25 they'd have sold their arse holes if they thought it would further their careers.
Black Sabbath should be in that top 3 and the beatles are not really rock no matter how much you like them and there are so many other bands that could take the top 5 or rearange that whole top 10 its impossible to have a real top 10
@@MrZombie999Beatles not rock is exactly my thoughts too.
Naah, The Clash.
The Kinks are so so good, in a time when there were some phenomenal British bands, the Who, the Stones, the Faces, the Beatles etc, they still stand out for me.
*Small Faces👍

At a time when most reaction vids have super animated reactions, i gotta say a really appreciate your chill style..
Dark Side of the Moon was released when I was six. My sister bought it and we played it on a proper record player. If you look at the original LP it’s a single track. It should be listened to in one go. It’s a story and is my all time favourite LP.
I hadxat least 6 copies of Dark Side as I always had to buy a new copy when my one had a stratch on it .
It always amuses me when Americans think that because we drink tea, we dont drink coffee! 😂 Like it has to be one or the other lol.
Whatever the Yanks think they're drinking it's NOT coffee
Or that if you don’t drink tea (like me) you’re not really a Brit
Drummer's drummer? Ginger Baker. He could play any genre of music with his own unique style..
‘Toad’ perhaps not technically genius, but just…. It’s just Ginger. Pressed Rat and Warthog with Ginger doing the vocals whilst keeping it tight on the skins. I was a drummer in the 70s and played alongside Pete Shelley pre Buzzcocks and Ginger was such an icon to me.
Ginger should be on any drum fans list. I'd add Nick Mason to the list, another Ringo, perfect for the band if not as flashy as Pace and Bonham
@@howardchambers9679 I agree with most of what you say except I wouldn't say Paice was flashy. 😊
Great great drummer - though I wouldn't have liked to have met him! Not the gentlest of people :) As far as top British drummers are concerned, though different style of drummer, Bill Bruford will always be near the top of my list.
@@jamesdignanmusic2765 It's strange (or perhaps not so strange) how all the great drummers seem to come from a Jazz background. 🤔
Thanks for this. This is the first video of yours I’ve encountered, and I really appreciate your calm, soft delivery-and openness to new music.
Duran Duran, Dire Straits, 10cc, The Clash, ColdPlay, The Jam, Level 42, Supertramp, The Police, Genasis, Simple Minds, Tears for Fears, The Verve, Small Faces, Depeche Mode, Iron Maiden, The Specials.
You could easily make a top 30 British bands. There has always been something in the water here musically. We punch at super heavy when it comes to the arts and culture.
Something to do with working class heroes and art school intellectuals in close proximity (sometimes in the same band), and maybe north/south rivalries only a day trip from each other.
@richardgale1287 yes it's like a perfect melting pot for creativity.
Social engineering, everything is top down
Something in the water ? Tea !! Fancy a cuppa mate ?
@@ilikezappa3268 haha, yes mate! ☕
I've never heard anybody describe Roger and David's voices as so similar, mainly because they sound nothing like each other 😆
Almost like the ones that say men are just like women, they are the same.
Yes, David always had the melodic/angelic voice and Rodger did the sinister parts like nobody else.
Thought this too. The reason Floyd where so good is because you had the polar opposites of Gilmour vs Waters making the songs. Completely different personalities too. Even now the band doesn't really exist they still keep the back catalogue alive by constantly barrating each other - Two very clever men.
OMG when I heard him say that I was like what!? I am so glad I wasn't sipping coffee because I definitely would have spit it out. LOL. What the heck is he talking about. I guess Bob Dylan and Kurt Cobain sound too similar as well??? Holy cow what a schmuck, this guy. Ahahahaha.
Damn my feelings exactly
I am old enough to have seen the Kinks (& many other) bands back in the 60's. It is gratifying to see the up there with the top bands, like Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin & Black Sabbath, all great bands live & studio.
i had a friend who used to go see The Who, gosh I bet you saw more than The Kinks you are very lucky!!
Led Zeppelin are my favourite band of all time. Four amazingly talented men that got together, perfection! My top three would be Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones and The Kinks.
The two best gigs I've ever been to my husband bought us tickets for, were number 1 Robert Plant and The Sensational Space Shifters, to see Robert Plant sing Whole Lotta Love was my top musical moment.
The second was Ray Davies from The Kinks, he sang all The Kinks hits, it was a real tingling hair on the back of the neck moment when he sang Waterloo Sunset.
I agree with you about Oasis, they had some great songs, but Liam Gallagher 's attitude just put me right off them.
Great reaction as always, sending peace.
I saw Zeppelin live in 1975.......
As a drummer you really should listen to some more Who, Keith Moon was amazing !
TRES Cool/Heavy!
Alice Cooper; "half of what you have heard about me is false, all that you have heard about Keith Moon is true and you haven't heard 10% of it"....Nutter!...

Or Ginger Baker
The Who are my favorite Moon was very unique he played in the music often following Roger Daltrey's vocals the whole dynamic was amazing, although I really love all the other groups mentioned they all contributed to rock.
You have such a calming voice - you should do audiobooks or something - maybe you do?!
He's the reason I turned off.
John Bonham, performing "Moby Dick" at the Royal Albert Hall in 1970. Unforgettable, powerful, all the adjectives. That man had so much talent. His son seems to have inherited his genes for playing too.
Have you seen Ann and Nancy Wilson (of Heart) playing Stairway to Heaven as a tribute for Led Zeppelin on Dec. 2, 2012 at The Kennedy Centre? Jason Bonham plays the drums. I believe they collected an award and had asked Jason to join them in his dad's place, but he made an excuse as his performance was intended to be a surprise for them. If you find the video on RUclips entitled Led Zeppelin - Kennedy Centre Honors (Complete), you can see him come onto the stage at 13:50 and Robert's reaction to seeing him there. You can see him gesturing to them at the end and how emotional the band members were. It is well worth a watch, all of it is if you like their music.
The Stone Roses are legendary and inspired a whole generation of bands. Love the Beatles forever. What can you say?
The Kinks were the first band my Mum saw live. June 14, 1967 at the Swansea Top Rank Suite.
They were my first live band, as well. De Montfort Hall, Leicester in August 1966
You may well be one of the coolest guys on t'interweb. Whilst my musical tastes are very eclectic I just love how involved you get no matter the subject matter of your videos, and particularly your musical ones as your passion shines through when you talk. Keep it up pal 👍
Status Quo - 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's and possibly the 00's (they were still touring), the Stones
Your relaxed style in this presentation makes it easy to appreciate.
Oasis In the Top 10 British Bands? Well, that has given me a good laugh for the day.
Exactly they are at best a pub band
Wet Wet Wet were more popular and successful than Oasis.
Yeh , No black Sabbath

The Who are great -
Nice reaction bud. The Beatles and Queen my faves. Total legends 😊
Love how you express your appreciation of the bands and their music,
Midge Ure is worth a look. Saw him doing a solo session a few years ago. Brilliant
I saw Ultravox just before Vienna was released. Fantastic gig
I'm old, yes, Born at the start of the '50's but by heavens did I grow up with the BEST British bands ever, now I'm an old confirmed metal head... Oh so many of our great British bands missing from this list, many I still have the albums of, attended concerts, had the posters on the wall.. it was the most fabulous time in music history, not according to my parents, but my siblings and I thrived on it... still do
I’m jealous. Wasn’t born till 1980, but grew up on a lot of rock from the late 50’s onwards thanks to my dad (who was a ‘52 baby) and grandparents. You’re right, just the best time for British rock music
I still have a lot of vinyl from the 60s and 70s. Stopped listening to music when the New Romantics started
@@gillfox9899As someone born in 1980 New Romantics is where I started. I would say I stopped paying attention to popular music after ‘96
Its insane that Iron Maiden were not in the upper half of this list.
It's biased against heavy, Mojo is a joke like that Hall of Fame, no Black Sabbath either.
To be fair picking just 10 is nasty
Iron Maiden is garbage.
What about elo
I have an original LP of the Beatles, Mono, Hard Days Night - I played it recently to some friends and they were blown out by the sound - it could have been published yesterday, the sound was so pure !
Hi there I'm John from England I love your Videos Carry On making them do you know what you are so laid back it's really good to see
I would add in dire straits Mark Knofler so under rated as a guitarist brought back rock music when you think everything was disco in the late 70's the clash anti establishment punk era.
Everything was not at all disco in the late 70's! Lookit Craig, when 250,000 go to an aerodrome in 1978 to watch one Bob Dylan gig and when 225,000 went to Knebworth in 1979 to watch one Led Zeppelin gig, and another 120,000 again the following week, something tells me disco was not the most popular. It was popular for silly singles on day time radio and disco halls but nowhere else.
Here we go again. "Mark Knopfler is so underrated" "Jimi Hendrix is so underrated" "Mozart is so underrated" "Ringo is so underrated".
My mother appeared on the Chorus for "Another Brick" :D
My top 3 bands are Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd & Deep Purple.
My 3 fav songs (not just British) are Hotel California, Time , April.
April from Deep Purples often overlooked Mark 1 line up is exquisite.
For what it’s worth I would be happy to listen to you talk about the Beatles all day!
Love seeing your passion for music, it would be great to have some music reactions on here one day- if we can find anything you haven’t heard before! Muse have some amazing live performances which you should definitely check out. Knights of Cydonia live in Rome is a tippity top live performance.
Also maybe some David Bowie ⚡️
You're a drummer and no mention of Cream? Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker. Supergroup legends.
Dire straits as well. 😮😮. Not only British but Geordies like me.
Love your content brother, thank you sir!!
I've met Lennon Gallagher (Liam's son). His band played in the bar i work at. he was delightful to meet :)
I know someone who met him and said exactly that. Most people are decent. I’ve met Nicky Wire out of the Manic Street Preachers a few times. He’s a slight wild performer in boas and sometimes in dresses. A lovely man.
I can't believe motorhead didn't even get a mention! They were pioneers!
Have loved your reactions since I came across your channel. You've gone up in my estimation ten fold with your musical taste, matches my vinyl collection. Keep up the good work.
Loved how you broke-down the drum beat explanation @ 11.15. That level of insight to a beat. To be drawing back so far with the snare on the 4 so as to mack it laid-back. The appreciation of that nuance is insane. I'm into Cuban music & dance. While dancing some in UK just don't get me but in Cuba they 'I am with them'.
He barely described it, never mind breaking it down. Lol.
Number 1 is Queen! Freddie's vocals, John's base, Brian's Red Special played with a sixpence and Roger's Drums!
You can't get better!!!
Led Zeppelin
Of course, you could get better. But music is very subjective. And sometimes, one hasn't heard much to make a proper assessment.
Pink Floyd is my number 1. I've had a bloody earworm in my head all week with Rodger's sinister voice from 'The Gunner's Dream' (Final Cut album) -
Goodbye Max, goodbye Ma
After the service, when you're walking slowly to the car
And the silver in her hair shines in the cold November air
You hear the tolling bell and touch the silk in your lapel
And as the teardrops rise to meet the comfort of the band
You take her frail hand
And hold on to the dream - *morphs into a spine-tingling sax solo*
Agree with your take. Final Cut is a masterpiece.
Why you British people don't evaluate Genesis as they really deserve a place in the TOP5 British band ever?
@@pasqualemuzzupappa1991 Top 5, no. Top 10 yes. The Phil Collins era blew up the quality of the band.

I saw Queen at the O2 with Adam Lamberth in 2022. It was amazing and it was worth the price to hear Brian's guitar and Roger playing drums. Brian May's guitar playing is amazing and worth the admission alone. Very touching moment where Brian performs love of your life in respect of Freddie. Brilliant.
The singer was pretty shit though
Queen number 1 for me best band ever ❤❤❤
Queen is always number 1 for me. But it's really nice to see you talk about music and you obviously know your music.
Simple Minds.David Bowie. Peter Gabriel. ACDC.
Wish You Were Here is the best Pink Floyd album, IMO.
'We miss you, Syd (and you're missing the fun)' is a beautiful, heartfelt concept for an album.
Hangs together much better than DSotM for me.
The 'secret' to Brian May's unique guitar sound is: make your own guitar!
What fun? There was nothing remotely "fun" with the making of Wish You Were Here.
Wasn't it an old church door? The wood for his guitar I mean.
First video of yours I have come across.. you have a very calming voice that was nice to listen to. This is a pretty good list I think. I'm surprised as a drummer you didn't mention Keith Moon when The Who came up. I find him as amazing as Bonham to listen to he had no chill. Also glad you found The Stone Roses.. I have been a fan of theirs since they were first around of course their output was shockingly small but what the did make is wonderful.
John Bonham is buried in a small graveyard about 5 miles from where I live People from all over the world come and visit it and leave drumsticks on the grave
Radiohead are like background music in the 90s, but that is actually the most amazing of all time. I adore them. The Bends is just genius.

Of course, without "Free" and "Cream", UK rock might have had a very different history.

@@karlkuttup Well, surely, wah-wah, in retrospect, sounds like a dreadful, bad taste, gimmick.
Seriously, Disraeli Gears is ahead of it's time. King Crimson, Led Zep and Sabbath didn't even have albums out yet. Cream set the tone for heavy crunchy fuzzy heavy rock. This guy is a total schmuck also. He says Roger and David sound too similar, Holy cow I couldn't disagree more. They are VERY easy to identify from one another. LOL. Watching this was so cringeworthy.
@@karlkuttup Wrong. They, all of them, stole the idea from Dave Davies of The Kinks who had shredded his guitar amp's speaker with a razor blade in order to obtain a total distortion effect. The pedals came later, although had long been invented ten years earlier by Les Paul. Jimi Hendrix subsequently led the field in that respect, having teemed up with Roger Mayer, a former electronics technician with the Royal Navy, who made loads of effects stuff for Jimi throughout his career.
Top 10's are always subjective, and hardly any two lists will be the same. So many groups never even made the honourable mentions list - Slade, Wizzard, T-Rex, Marmalade, Animals, Hollies, Tremeloes, Procol Harum, Dave Clark 5, Dire Straits, ELO, Genesis, Moody Blues and many, many more.
The Tremeloes always sounded like they were making music because they enjoyed it, the Moody Blues put up a good case for the concept album kings, and as for ELO, well it's ELO, say no more. Genesis gave us Phil Collins, the Animals brought us Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Lynne and George Harrison gave us two parts of the Travelling Wilburys. The list goes on.
Can't believe Iron maiden was not in top ten. 😡

Can't really fault those ten but there is so much brilliant British music that there are a ton of bands that could have been shoehorned in there, from Dire Straits to XTC, Motorhead to Cream, Jethro Tull to Joy Division, Yes to Supertramp, Blur to T-Rex. (There's a second ten for you - and there are many more deserving of mention!)
I do love watching your work. Sights around the UK and these Rock Bands. You are teaching us Brits a bit too.
If you’re getting into Stone Roses music also check out Ian Brown’s solo work. The song F.E.A.R has, in my opinion, the most ingeniously written lyrics ever.
The Kinks came from near me. Great band... Jon Bonham - we used to go to the light shows in the Planetarium (London) in the 80's (I know, so long ago) I remember us all calling out Jon's name after he died. RIP JB

T. Rex was my very first concert. I was 11 years old I'm now 62. My favourite live bands are Genesis, The Who and Pink Floyd
Mine too! But I was 16!
I don’t know if you know much about early British Rock’n’Roll but from that genre there’s an artist called Billy Fury, who The Beatles auditioned for in the hope of becoming his backing band (he was a fellow Scoucer after all) but they were obviously unsuccessful. He was also amongst the first (if not the first) British recording artists in the rock and pop industries to write and perform their own material. He Lao did UK tours with the likes of Gene Vincent and Eddie Cochran and definitely worth a listen.
According to the Beatles' first manager, Allan Williams, who was present when a dozen or so Liverpool bands auditioned for Billy Fury. Billy wanted the Beatles to be his backing group, However, Billy's manager, Larry Parnes (who managed a great many British singing stars of the time - Marty Wilde, Adam Faith etc ) noticed that Stuart Sutcliffe wasn't actually playing his bass guitar and rapidly deduced that the reason was that he couldn't play. So, Parnes told the Beatles that they were hired... BUT, they had to get rid of Stuart. Stuart's best friend John Lennon refused to fire Stuart and so the gig went to another band. As a consolation, Parnes did let the Beatles (Stuart included) back another of his singers - Johnny Gentle - on a tour of Scotland a couple of months later.
You might find Primal Scream interesting if you haven't heard them already. The went from one of the very best dance / rave albums to The Rolling Stones mkII in 2 albums ! They've covered MANY different genres, so you never know what you're gonna get from album to album.
Total pish.
I have been fortunate enough to have been at quite a few of these bands concerts! I am not old enough to have seen the Beatles live, but I did have tickets for the recent "The Sessions, A Live restaging of the Beatles at Abbey Road Studios".
Pink Floyd should be number 2, no question about it. The depth and quality of their catalogue is amazing.
Floyd/Zep are joint #1 for me.
Love the Beatles, and fully appreciate why they’re there, but yeah. Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd are just better imo, and I couldn’t choose one over the other on any given day
can you believe that during November of 2023, the Beatles were at no1 in the UK singles chart and the Rolling Stones were at no1 in the UK album charts.
Did you hear who got Christmas no 1 this year? It’s like there’s no new music this year at all.
Ren
Speaking as a Floyd fan, you really need to listen to them again if you think Dave and Rogers voices sound the same. They are miles apart.
You could doing a top 50 best British musical artists and bands……the list really goes on and on !
Queen and The Who are the only ones I’m not bored of listening to.
Cozy Powell on drums Dance with the Devil...holy hot sticks, unbelievable !
The uk is the centre of the music universe.
Marc Bolan died in a tragic car crash in Barnes, west London, the Mini his girlfriend was driving and lost control crossing the bridge killing him. My friends and I regularly visit this place to pay respect.
Enjoying watching your videos about music. It's good to see a reactor who is knowledgeable about bands. You recognise most of them straight away which doesn't seem to happen to often in a lot of reaction videos.
I'll check out some of your other videos and subscribe.
Most of the bands that anybody is thinking about are probably British or memebers are born there.
And it's impossible to do a top 10 British bands. There are so many....
How many times do we hear, "I didn't know they were British"? Could it be that people no longer have an album sleeve to read? An American recently said on RUclips, "I didn't know Iron Maiden were British and I have most of their records". Did he not have a clue in the lyrics?
Or their lives shows dressed as british soldiers 😭
@@fluorescentadolescent2640 Or never come across the acronym NWOBHM
It’s ignorance with a lot of Americans (though of course, not all).
So many that I’ve personally come across just assumed certain artists were American because they were great 🙄
Bethca he doesn't have their "records"
It can happen I'm English and found out a few days ago that Dire Straits were British. I honestly thought they were American and I'm 52.
Hadn't been into The Who yet their Quadraphenia album is one I listen to all the way through, made me appreciate their earlier work more
Quadrophenia is a fantastic album.
How can you forget about Kinks??? They are absolutely fabulous and criminally underrated!
The gallagher brothers aren't necessarily scary/intimidating. Sometimes being northern can come across as that to people, especially people who aren't british and don't get the attitude
Piss poor Beatles tribute band
They’re not intimidating, they’re just a***holes with minimal talent
Just a pair of wankers
Watch any of tv's re-runs of the CSI franchises. They all have The Who theme tunes and indeed, Rodger Daltrey stars in an episode. Their current drummer is Zak Starkey, son of the Beatles drummer, Ringo Starr (Richard Starkey).
I understand that Townshend's issue was that every sex site that promoted minor sex could be accessed with a credit card eg those websites were being supported by (complicit with) the banks and credit companies. He was cleared of all charges in 2003.
That comment was so unnecessary
Exactly people need to do their research, plus Townshend was a victim of abuse.
Can we just talked about how satisfying this guys voice is
King Crimson, Yes, Jethro Tull, Emerson Lake and Palmer were much better, than Oasis or Radiohead.
King Crimson are highly influential. I wouldn't bracket Oasis and Radiohead together, though. Oasis are a pub band that got lucky.
As you are a drummer, what’s your opinion of Roger Taylor?
One of the most memorable evenings of my life was seeing the Beatles live on stage in my home town, Bradford. It was before they became really international superstars, I think in 1964 when I was 16.
Your voice touches my soul 😮
