Me neither! I was never really interested in going, and then last year I just went to Wharton State Forest on a whim, and had a really good time, so returning to hit Colliers Mills was a no-brainer for me!
@@DefiantOffroad I was laughing when you were in those puddles by the power lines because of how obvious it was that you were being super-cautious. Not laughing at you for being cautious, but because I've been out in the woods solo enough times that I know that "I'm screwed if I get stuck" pucker-feeling!
I recently discovered the pine barrens and immediately fell in love with it - both fur camping and 4WDing. I primarily explore Wharton, but as you mentioned, there's SO MUCH to explore. Thanks for the coordinates!
Do you think a stock Gladiator sport would high center on any of those whoops? I don't care if I drag a little rear here and there but without a winch and a buddy I can't fix the first issue.
@@DefiantOffroad Thanks, yea I got lucky that wharton was dried up this past weekend. One piddle puddle I splished through. Looking to go through CM even though I'm not camping nearby, but it's only 15 mins away, hard to say no.
Amazing video of your journey. I’m by colliers mills and have been planning a trip there. Your video definitely just helped me scout a lot. Any trails/routes you had the most fun on? Any water crossings?
The hilly area was a lot of fun. I probably spent a total of an hour or so just playing there. There weren't any water crossings, but that power line trail had a lot of water obstacles. I turned around at one, because it was really deep and I didn't have any one to pull me out if I got stuck. I have a video of Wharton State Forest that I shot back in February. It had some back trails that were watery and muddy. I actually used my lockers at one of the muddy spots there.
@@DefiantOffroad that water power line trail is top on my list especially since I usually am with other trucks in case I need to be recovered. I actually just went to wsf two weeks ago and had a blast-a lot of mud/water there. I just uploaded my own dashcam of me at wsf on my RUclips account and I’m hoping you upload a video of your wsf trails!
I did a video of Wharton back in February, check it out! I found another power line trail in Brendan T. Byrne, but on my maps it shows it as being private property (Jersey Power and Light). The one in Colliers Mills shows as being part of the WMA, and not private. It also had no signs posted, and some of the Colliers Mills trails intersect it, so I'd say it's reasonable to assume you can be there.
@@DefiantOffroad colliers mills used to never be a problem I heard. But in recent years, cops have ticketed people for driving on the trails. Hopefully I can enjoy it before/without the cops giving me trouble. Keep up the quality videos!
Well, I have to admit. New Jersey isn't the first place that I'd think to go to ride trails. Learn something new every day.

That is almost exactly what was going through my mind at that point!

It's been a year and a half since I've made a trip up there to the Pine Barrens. I need to plan another trip! Thanks for watching and commenting!
It's funny you said it reminds you of Florida. I always tell my wife Ocala national forest reminds me of the pine Barrons. LOL
I know right? Weirdest place to be reminded of Florida!
Really enjoyed the video, great content! I myself really enjoy the pine barrens as well!
Thanks!!
Great video , my son is raising on this trails
It was a lot of fun, and I'm definitely going to have to come back there again!
Nice video and thanks for sharing. Ive been there lot of times
I'm hoping to get back there soon! Thanks for watching and commenting!
It was awesome dude
Thank you!! I'm glad you thought so!
❤️❤️
Thanks for commenting!
Nice vid! Gauging the amount of water that will be there for me Saturday. Had it rained very recently for your run?
It didn't seem like it had rained recently. Everything was pretty dry, well, except for the power line road!

You should be fine! Anything sketchy (and there isn't much) is easily bypassed. Some of those puddles on the power line trail get super deep though!

Wharton was a lot fun, but I think Colliers Mills is a little more so! You should record your trip and post it up!
@@DefiantOffroad I've always thought about that kind of stuff. I want to get a RAM mount, that could be an easy first step into recording.
I'm running the Bulletpoint camera mount system. Check it out!
Are these trails open to the public?
Yep!
Thanks
@@DefiantOffroad I saw another video of yours at Whartom state forest in NJ. That is also opened to the public?
Sure is!
What happens if you call Brendan Byrne state forest Lebanon state forest?
It results in irreparable damage to space/time

What was the entrance to this area? Off what route?
The GPS coordinates are in the video 😉
@@DefiantOffroad oh that’s right..my bad. Thanks
