    Total time to get engine out -> less than 5 hours. Way easier than I thought. Guessing the installation will be just as easy. Great videos and easy to follow.. You just saved me a thousand bucks!!!

      Glad you like the series!!! Remember, when you get it back in, the single most important thing is engine alignment. If it is off, it’s not good. I mentioned this already, but it would mean a lot if you subscribe.

    New Sub. Nice video. I was amazed the 6x6 held up. Good tree limb works good too. I've got a 5.7 MerCruiser pulled out an old Parker I just bought to trawl for shrimp in SC. The engine coupler splines stripped out.

      Hey! Thanks for subscribing! I still have the 6x6s. They are holding up the Glastron’s motor. Check out that series-it’s a mess!

    Michael, Im in the process of repairin an oil pan on a 5.0 penta, on a four winns horizon. Your videos have been very helpful and I thank you for making them.
    However white removing the lag bolts on the port side, both bolts broke off within the fiberglass.
    I was wondering if you had any info, or videos detailing the repair of the mount itself? As I need to replace the wooden mount, and the fiberglass now. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Would appreciate the link to the flywheel video you mentioned, I have several teeth missing on my OMC 5.0L, and planning to pull engine soon. Thanks for the video''s.

    How did you build the engine hoist? Is it on wheels or directly into the ground? If in the ground, how deep and did you use concrete? My boat is pretty high off the ground. I might have to tie two 8' 6x6 posts together to get it high enough but am not sure if that would hold. My boat and trailer are also pretty wide. The hardware store has a beam that is 4"x6"x12' so you think that would hold up at the beam going across the top?
    I looked through the videos but only saw a few frames that show the hoist. Thanks!

      Frank. 6x6 only. Minimum 2 feet in the ground. I have 10’ in the ground and a 12’ across. You need brackets to keep them together. Stay safe and work with another person on this one. Please hot that subscribe button!

      I am using a nice 12” limb from the oak tree in the backyard. Was going to build a gantry, but the oak is free and will do the job.

    I am having to swap a 351w in place of my 302 in my 94 Glastron because the block cracked this past winter. Your videos have been extremely helpful! I have parts on order to rebuild the SX trim pump and a leaking steering actuator. If you need any parts from a 5.0FLPMDA let me know! I'm in the ATX area

    Truly Underrated series you have here - QUESTION: What’s the span on the 6x6 at the top? My apologies if you mentioned it and I missed it

    • @michaelromer2016
      @michaelromer2016  5 лет назад

      Thanks so much. The span is 12 feet. Zero flex on the lumber with the motor in the center, for 3 months.

      I shoot in 1080p using a Galaxy Edge + using one hand and the phone gets epoxy on it. It’s just a boat project filming camera. I’ve since changed the latest Apple iPhone, so I can shoot 4K videos.

    Great videos as always...Funny you always use standard measurements and the starter plainly reads metric. 9/16, 14mm guess it's all the same...Lol

      shoot, haha. ya, I actually had a metric socket just for the starter, forgot to mention that. I actually get the motor installed in episode 67. ruclips.net/video/twqALBHQRA8/видео.html
