I really wanted to like the series but didn’t make it through E3 before giving up on this laughable stinker. The screenplay’s so ridiculously lame and poorly written you have to wonder if maybe it was sourced from 15 year old screenwriters the producer found in San Francisco or NYC. A single word, “Stereotypes”, best describes the embarrassingly poor casting, acting, directing, and production. From the awful generic “ignorant white person” southern accents & dialects spoken by too many of the characters, to the neglectful absence of any pre-production research on any topic associated with the script ranging from firearms, law enforcement, game wardens, or actual people or culture in rural Montana/Wyoming, there’s not a shred of authenticity or attention to detail attempted. None! “Joe Pickett” is really that bad. What a waste of potential.

Fair enough. I've never actually seen the show yet. I figured it might be worth checking out but based on what your saying maybe it's a waste of time?

Other folks have different taste in what they find entertaining, but even though I tried, I found Joe Pickett so ridiculously lame and poorly written that I couldn’t watch it anymore, it’s really that bad in my opinion, so yes, waste of time.
